Hotel Chariot Aalsmeer

Very enjoyable stay both times we stayed.

• + Very nice hotel with auto parking away from the high traffic areas. We enjoyed our first night in Europe after a long flight. After touring Europe for three weeks we stayed three more nights before our flight home. Restaurant is excellent.
• – It can be a little noisy from the air traffic, but we adjusted quickly.

• + CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT , very nice rooms
• – pity that at this price that dont give breakfast

A charming hotel, remote from the bustle

• + Staff were very friendly and helpful . The room was large bright and airy
• – Minimal consumable supplies in the room, But readily supplied when asked for

Flora Holland close by

• + Great location for Flora Holland
• – Not so good for outside food an frink

I recomend this hotel, in general good to very good

Good value for the money

• + Very friendly staff and the hotel has a very cosy invoriment Good bed = good sleep

Useful and comfortable.

• + On the plus points the bed was very comfortable, the location was very quiet and the staff were very helpful. We ate in the resturant for lunch and the food was good. Breakfast was plentiful and hot.
• – On the negative points I had alerted the hotel that I would be arriving in the early hours of the morning and had requested transport. The hotel did not communicate with me so we spent a good half an hour looking for the transport and when I did telephone the hotel I was given instructions which required going back through the airport to a different entrance/exit from the arrivals one. On arrival at the hotel the reception desk was shut and the driver of the transport supplied the room key.

• + good and silent location, litle expensive, good service, good breakfast, exelent restaurant with friendly people,
• – expensive breakfast,and charged in separate, bad wifi, and local internet facilities are poor

not worth staying

• – terrible shuttle service. It also costs $ to use this poor transportation. The hotel is 60 euro from Amsterdam *by cab...and remote. So you rely on the stuttle unless you are driving your own vehicle. Would not stay again

Nice, Clean Quiet hotel

Sweet atmosphere, great stay

• + the bathroom and room were both lovely the restaurant and staff were excellent, the woman running the breakfast room was particularly nice.. :D
• – the free wifi doesn't work very well from the jr suite upstairs.. too far from the wifi.. you need more power :)
• * my tip this was a lovely option for being close to the airport to leave the country the next day, but still with a charming feeling of a small Inn. the shuttle service was great :D

• + Charming small hotel with full service restaurant and lounge. The food was great and the room rivaled those of much more expensive luxury hotels. I enjoyed experiencing Aalsmere and seeing how it was different from cities.
• – Near airport but more than 15-20 minutes away by car or shuttle. Extra charge for shuttle to and from airport

A surprise chillout hotel close to Schiphol Airport

• + Enjoyed the location and the smaller size of the hotel compared with the larger hotels close to Schiphol Airport
• – Maybe a little tired... but that could be quickly rectified without too much trouble.
• * my tip Access the hotel from Schiphol Airport, and not Amsterdam.

A good hotel, but not quite as convenient as you might think.

• + We really enjoyed the food in the restaurant, it was well cooked and presented
• – We would have liked breakfast to be included in an optional price. Also when we booked it stated there was a shuttle service between the airport. However you do not make it clear how to obtain the shuttle.( I sent an email to you asking this a day or so before we arrived.) Also you charge for the shuttle which I think you should make far more obvious when booking. I only found out on reading Trip Advisor. In our experience hotels provide a free shuttle service.
• * my tip there is a bus service which will take you into Alsmeer and a connection for Amsterdam it would have been helpful if the hotel could have provided us with more detail on this and even a map of Aalsmeer which has some local attractions

• + Spaceous rooms. Nice bathroom. Lovely beds.
• – No family rooms available which means it becomes pricey for a family with two kids. We thought it was closer to the Flower auction place. The street the hotel is on is very long and from the website it is difficult to see where exactly the hotel is located. Walking to the Flora flower auction premises proved too far.
• * my tip Make sure you visit the Flora flower auction premises! When you come by bicycle (like we did) make sure you have got a lock with you because the cycle storage is accessible to outsiders.

nice interior, good breakfast, not so far from the airport

• – Junior Suite: A little too small for 3 adults Sofa bed is uncomfortable (a real bed is a lot better) By check in: the sofabed was not yet made, there were only 2 bath towels 1 pack of bath gel per person is (at least for me) not enough, and there's no hand soap We should have been able to order the airport shuttle beforehand, so we didn't have to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel

Keep your confirmation and beware of fold out beds

• + Room was nicely laid out and spacious. Breakfast was generous.
• – 1. Although we had paid for breakfast with our booking, the receptionist initially insisted that this was not possible. Only after I showed her the confirmation did she accede. Attitude was questionable. 2. To call this hotel an "airport hotel" is a bit of a stretch. It is a pretty long ride to the airport. Also, an airport hotel should provide free shuttle services both ways. Most other airport hotels do. 3. One of the beds creaked so much we had to take the mattress off a
• * my tip Don't ask for a triple room. The third bed is inadequate. Also, keep your confirmation in case the 'free breakfast" is challenged. And beware of the free one way only shuttle.

Great local hotel with facilities and very high standard of room.

• + Great location for flower markets and Aalsmeer in general. Lovely hotel with a local feel. Not surrounded just by other hotels.
• – Rooms very hot at night.

Excellent hotel and its location was a great help.

• + Easy parking and reasonable access to the major roads ment that i could use the hotel as a hub for 3 nights rather than a different hotel each night. A unique hotel that will register when i think of Holland, not another "concrete box" that leave you feeling that you are "anywhere but home"
• – no room service and resturant not able to charge meals to the room.

• + Rooms are good and clean
• – I had the greatest trouble using the internet for mail. The internet works well, but an overzealous IT person has shut down all firewalls. I use mail services outside internet, and am used to making a VPN backdoor, but even this didn't work, which is a level of security no hotel ever needs. It's more for a military base. So, please loosen up on the locking of services.

truly Holland experience, away from tourist`s path
