Van der Valk Hotel Akersloot

A very good hotel, with a few shortcomings.

• + I have filled in the questionnaire in the hotel. The dinner service in the restaurant was excellent and the food very good.
• – There was no stop in the washtable sink. Only a loose little chain. The toilet seat was damaged. The airco gave an intermittent buzz , like an alarmclock. We had to switch off the airco. It is dificult to shave as the lights are wrongly placed visavis the mirror.. The service in the breakfast restaurant was not as good as the last time we stayed in your hotel.
• * my tip The hotel is located in the centre of the province Noord-Holland. All highlights of the province, like e.g. Volendam, Marken, Amsterdam,can be reached in a very short span of time.

• – The room I had (n° 148) was not clean enough (under the bed, I have found socks...and dust...)

Quiet and luxury....that's fine

• + I stay in hotel in 1984 (my job situated at beverwijk in oil industry) it was a medium quality in this time but correct quality anyway my stay in july 9012 was very nice and I will suggest your hotel to friends and family. Nice visit in the rgion as well.

very good value for money if you are with a car

• – you have to have a car, very long walk to the public areas

A nice and a comfortable hotel in a good position

• – Wifi it's bad. You have to fix the qulity and to give up the 2 hours use, it's not really necessary.

rooms need refreshening/upgrading

• + Good restorant with quick service
• – Rooms are below international standards and look tired and lack some basic requirements such as aircon and fridge. Walking distance to the back rooms is too far and no access from most backdoors except one central back entrance. Quit noisy from airplanes and road.

Excellent value for money

• + Large clean bedrooms. Excellent restaurant. Good bar. Friendly staff. Ample car parking.
• – Too close to airport. Poor layout of building - bedroom a very long way away from reception and restaurant.

• – restaurant very slow service, steak bought was good however the vegtables that came with it were very poor and inedable

Nice hotel but not the good night rest as promised

• – Matrasses were very soft (maybe due for a change??) causing restless nights for all of us.

Fantastic value

• + Large, clean comfortable room for very reasonaable price. Breakfast could not be better. Staff very friendly and effecient.
• – We missed an important telephone call as our room telephone was not working. Receptionist heard clicking noises when she tried to put the call through but did not check if it was working.

Our stay at Akersloot Hotel

• + The standard room we where in was fantastic, clean, light and very comfortable. The bath room was big and so was the room. We will stay in the Akersloot Hotel again if we ever get the chance. The breakfast was included and was one of the best we have ever seen. You are A1 Akersloot Hotel, thank you very much.
• – A bit far away from things to do. But is right on the motorway so for us no problem.
• * my tip We recommend this hotel for everybody. It is a very good Hotel for business stayers.

Excellent hotel, we would recommend it.

• + Extremely helpful and efficient staff. Comfortable room. Kids enjoyed the jacuzzi/bath, access to swimming pool and the balcony of the room. Note that there is now free access to two hours wifi per day, but the connection is not brilliant.
• – We were slightly confused by booking the Family Offer on Hotels.nl, to find that the room was the Queensize room, not the Family Room shown on the hotel website. Also, hotel is a bit mazy to find your way around. No tea and coffee in room, but this is not unusual.

Great hotel

• + Great hotel with large rooms and bathrooms. A buffet breakfast was included with our stay and it made it a very good value.

• + Very welcoming with very good service. Food was excellent and well priced, staff were very nice, rooms were clean and well maintained. Close to station for travel to Amsterdam and Schipol
• – No kettle in room and no room service which was disappointing. Pool was closed with no forewarning when I booked which was disappointing.
