Description
The monument in which Grand Hotel Alkmaar is situated, has a neo gothic style. Until 1916 this building was used as a post office and since a renovation it offers stylish hotel rooms. In the rooms the original features have been combined with contemporary facilities such as a flatscreen television, jacuzzi and duo showers.
You can find the Grand Hotel along the Gedempte Nieuwesloot in the centre of Alkmaar, near the shops and the cheese market. From Alkmaar you can make nice trips to the beach or to Amsterdam.

In the hotel the extensive breakfast is served from 06:30 to 11:00 h.
For a lovely dinner at a fair rate you can visit the luxurious Restaurant Zegels. A new menu is presented each week. Guests can choose how many courses they would like to order. Its unique feature is the wine cellar. The staff will kindly assist you to choose a wine to accompany your dinner. The restaurant is open from 17:00 to 22:00 h.
In Brasserie/Bar X-Press you can enjoy a drink or a quick lunch/dinner. The modern cuisine and the trendy interior make for a pleasant atmosphere. In the courtyard there is smoking area available. X-Press is open from 10:00 to 01:00 h.
