Van der Valk hotel Almere is situated in the polder of southern Flevoland, near the Weerwater lake. You can partake in many activities in and around Almere including shopping, cycling, walking, swimming, mountain biking, horse riding, wakeboarding or simply taking in the fantastic architecture. It is wonderful to relax at the Thermen La Mer spa, and the cities of Lelystad and Amsterdam are also within easy reach of Almere.

reception, the lady from the reception speaks with her colegs at phone, also when they were comming there, so we where the clients and she had others priorities. Hygiene of the bathroom, I made some pictures. Also the room, chair and lamp was dirty, splashes with coffe.

There are mice in the bar - reported this to barman in the evening and then reception in the morning - they stated they knew, but trying to deal with them in a 'nice way'.
This has serious implications for hygiene, and is just not acceptasble at any level - particularly for this level of hotel.

Location. without a car it would have been impossible to go anywhere. the toilet bowl was not very clean - brown at the bottom of the bowl as if not brushed properly - and over the 3 days we stayed there, the brown stains remained.

not enough family rooms or triple rooms, internet was very slow and disconected frequently. Lots of appliances marked defect including the vending machine for drinks. Has no hotel store for little necessities such as toothpaste and conditioner.
