Amersfoort has a medieval centre with many charming alleys, streets, houses and canals where you will find pleasant bars and restaurants. Major attractions are the Amersfoort zoo and the 98 meter high Onze Vrouwe tower, nicknamed 'Long John'. There are still a number of city gates, the most famous is the Koppelpoort. The beautiful area surrounding the garrison town Amersfoort is excellent for cycling and walking.
Food and Drinks
An extensive breakfast buffet is available between 07:00 and 10:30 h. You can choose from different cheeses, sandwich fillings, dairy products and fresh fruit, breakfast cereals and several kinds of bread. Hot dishes such as scrambled eggs and sausages are available, as well as tea, coffee, milk and fruit juices.
Guests can dine à la carte in the cosy restaurant or on the terrace. Live cooking lunches and dinners are also served in the hotel. The restaurant is open from 12:00 till 22:30 h. The bar is open between 09:00 and 01:00 h.

Good value for money, rate included buffet breakfast (especially liked the fresh orange juice). Clean and spacious room, comfortable bed. Convenient access to A1 and to Amersfoort Centre. Good service from reception. Would visit this hotel again on next trip to Amersfoort.

This hotel is badly served by it's kitchen. Meals are regularly poor, food is often dry, the 'scrambled egg' and I can barley call it that after this morning, was just a tasteless solid lump... Last night they got every part of my dinner order wrong, despite asking me twice to confirm what I wanted. My advice, if you stay at this hotel, go eat out somewhere else.

AC noisy (interrupted my sleep), not all TV channels working (specifically no BBC), no room service menu in room (what's the point of going to the restaurant to order room service?), AC not working in lifts (making them like an oven), bar rather bland. Hotel basically not ready, and I object to paying full price for incomplete service.
