Grand Hotel Amstelveen has an utmost convenient location close to Amsterdam and Schiphol Amsterdam Airport. In front of the hotel there are several buses to the 'Museumplein' and the city centre of Amsterdam. Within a 10-minute walking distance one can also catch a tram towards Amsterdam Central Station. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the centre of Amsterdam by public transport. The stylish and luxury Grand Hotel Amstelveen offers a comfortable accommodation with many extra facilities. On the hotel's premises there is a multifunctional sports and party centre with tennis courts, badminton courts, and a bowling alley with 16 lanes. It also has an excellent accommodation for business and festive meetings. Guests can organise a meeting here for groups of up to 250 persons.

The spacious rooms all have a luxury bathroom with a separate bath and shower, coffee and tea making facilities, wireless Internet, and a mini bar. On Monday through Thursday guests can visit sports centre 'All Sports' in Amstelveen, which offers a sauna, swimming pool, and a cardio and fitness room. At an additional charge one can also use the solarium or the squash courts. Free entry passes are available at the reception. The hotel's shuttle service can bring people to and from 'All Sports' until 22:15 h.

The breakfast buffet is served from 07:00 to 10:00 h. and on weekends from 07:00 to 11:00 h.
Guests can choose between two excellent restaurants. Next to the hotel you can find the atmospheric 'restaurant 't Geregt'. The menu offers refined courses from the international kitchen. Directly across from the hotel there is also a chic à la carte restaurant, 'La Fontaine'. Here guests can taste the culinary dishes from the French cuisine. Wine lovers will gladly taste the exclusive wines that are available here. The hotel also has a cosy bar. The bartender serves a wide selection of cocktails and long drinks.

Bridget Legood Spacious, comfortable rooms, helpful and knowledgeable staff: 4 July 2011; 8.2; + On arrival, my tv and kettle were not working, but the staff were most helpful, and I ended up transferring to another room. The breakfast is excellent - good variety, plentiful and fresh. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the bed extremely comfortable. Frequent bus service into town. Staff helpful and knowledgeable.; - Location - neither here, there or anywhere! You must either have a car, or be prepared to use the buses - which are frequent during the week and cheap.

Top clean, spacious, shower+toilette separated, safe and parking included as well as relatively good breakfast.; - Goose on neighbour terrain sings from 07:00 (partially a joke, however unpleasant, when back late the night/morning before). No ham with eggs (very minor point but...) and a little bit far from the city - but if you take the car to the town limit Amstelveen, only 15 minutes driving time remaining and more busslines available. Good Alternative: P&R for 6€ including bus ticket.

The hotel was very well.; - Location: bus to Amsterdam, 40min, from in front of the hotel, and you have to wait for it, but you can check the schedule. The parking in Amsterdam is very expensive, so we had to leave the car at the hotel and take the bus.

Nice room, friendly and helpfull staff, very good breakfast; possibility to use washing and drying machines free of charge.; - Location - hotel is situated 25-30 min. away from Amsterdam by bus ; but, in the other hand, bus service is perfectly organized and bus stop is situated just in front of the hotel.

Best breakfast ever, even poffertjes! For us the location was not a problem, it was on the way between 2 commitments and we had a free parking area.; - None, really.

Jonathan: 11 June 2007; 5.8; + Pleasant and helpful staff and comfortable room.; - Location is very difficult without a car. 48 hour travel pass for Amsterdam does not include the two bus stops from the tram station! The 'ten minute walk' is hazardous as the only 'footpath' is also a bicycle and motorcycle one. Clearly you can do little about this but it is a concern. I had trouble with mosquitos on both my nights at the hotel despite complaining after the first.

Nice bar in the lounge area, and if you like whisky your in for a treat, but good choice and well stock with alternatives if you don't.; - Public Transport right outside hotel. Amsterdam centre approx 40 mins by bus 3.20 euros each way. However if you want to take advantage of the all inclusive Iamsterdam card, you've got a 15 minute plus walk to the nearest GVB transport network Metro.Not nice in the rain but free.

Anonymous Kommen, trotz einiger kleiner Mängel, gerne wieder: 7 September 2011; 6.8; + Freundliches Personal. Große Zimmer. Verkehrs günstige Lage nach Amsterdam (Busverbindung); - Leider ließ sich die Heizung auf dem Zimmer nicht regulieren bzw. abstellen. Die Qualität des Frühstücksbuffet hat leider stark nachgelassen. Die Zimmer sollten besser auf Sauberkeit überprüft werden. (Spinngewebe, unterm Bett längere Zeit nicht gesaugt) Dafür Bad und WC top.
