- I'd be wasting my time if I tried to think of something positive to write here. But just to play devil's advocate it's close to the airport.
- The room displayed online looked nothing like the actual room we stayed in. If your expecting the accent blue lights surrounding your bed, good luck finding the switch for them, or even the lights themselves. Also, the location SUCKS. Make sure you like riding the tram for 25 minutes just to get to central station. The hotel seemed unfinished, and management just wanted to generate some revenue during the construction period. Also please bring all thermal gear you own and prepare to sleep in climates of -8 degrees Celsius. Cheers.

The whole experience were unfullfilling and I will send friends to other hotels. Please inform guest that this is a budget stard hotel with expensive prices and terrible staff.

- This is our place to stay in Amsterdam
- This place is fantastic. It is in a great location and enabled us to kick off our visit to Amsterdam by visiting the Heineken Experience and Van Gogh museum, both just a short walk away. Fokko and Fabiano were friendly and helpful and were happy for us to check in before noon. The room was lovely and the bed was incredibly comfortable, best night's sleep I'd had for a while! It felt like somewhere to come back to after exploring this beautiful city. Much more than a hotel room. Additionally, we used the kitchen facilities to sort ourselves out with a good breakfast and a packed lunch so we didn't have to eat out until the evening, I reckoned this saved about £150 euros over our three night stay. Next time we go to Amsterdam, we are going to book Amstel Corner straight away. We won't even think about looking elsewhere.
- If I were Fokko I'd do more with the back garden!

- Stylish, modern and well equiped apartment in a quite area of The Dam!
- The apartment was very well equiped in a modern style. The bathroom in particular was excellent. The room was warm and comfortable and being on the 5th floor afforded some excellent views of the city. Fokko, the owner, was extremely pleasant and helpful.
- Really the only negative aspect was the five flights of steep stairs we had to climb to reach the apartment. Not too much fun with heavy suitcases!

- The perfect location, friendly service, relatively spacious for A'dam.
- Well-equipped kitchen, helps save some money in an expensive city. Floor heating is cosy, even though at times off at night. Internet works well and is included in the price. New towel supply as needed. Freshfruit upon arrival plus a bottle of a Lambrusco-like sparkling drink. Small but cosy table corner. Friendly and helpful caretakers - did not meet the owners themselves. In terms of Amsterdam options: Real value for money, slightly more room than in most places, excellent location - recommended.
- Relatively dark in terms of natural light, practically sousterrain. Some nights slightly cool due to heating turning off (somewhat "automatically"?). 5% city tax as extra adds up quite a bit. Additional (3rd) bed is only a folding bed with 2 mattresses one on top of the other - not too friendly for the spine and not very stable.

- -would have been nice to know there was only 1 toilet (even though it was a 3 bedroom apartment) -True apartment living-no extra toilet paper, no soaps, no shampoo, no extra garbage bags for trash, (but did provide soap for dishwasher), etc. -no hand towels (for shower room) provided - no handtowel racks in either the shower room or the toilet room -list of decent eating establishments in the area would have been helpful -reception was the property managment office, hours were 9am-5pm(M-F)

- The Place To Be For about EUR 50.00 (per person per night)
- Good value for money if many travellers stay in a 6-7 person apartment. Near City Center. Autonomous and spacious. Felt like we were permanent residents. Thierry (our host) was really helpful and friendly.
- Don't expect a hotel service. We stayed Fri-Mon and no one cleaned bathroom (this might me troublesome for the ladies) but if you're used to camping and budget hotels this is defintely described as "luxurious" when comparing.

- Hotel Krasnapolsky is simply the best
- Hotel Krasnapolsky is the # 1 place in Amsterdam to stay because they are excellent in major categories that we consider important (room/apt size and quality, service, price, location, restaurant). We have never had a bad visit or anything to complain about in a over a dozen visits to the hotel, the most recent being December 2009, where we stayed in the Apartments, which I highly recommend for couples. The staff is well trained and the management is super friendly. In a sad note, we were bumped from our KLM flight and this cost us two days vacation, cutting our reservation from 8 nights to 6 nights. I e-mailed Hotel K and they had all of our arrangements covered when we arrived. In fact, we have a favorite or preferred apartment overlooking the canal and they had it waiting for us when we arrived, and even let us check in early ... now that's outstanding service!
- The one down side to staying at Hotel K is parking, if you happen to have an automobile. But, this applies to ALL HOTELS in central A-dam where the use of a car is all but impossible. Even at the Schipol Airport Hilton Hotel, parking costs are very high, so there is no relief if you're driving a vehicle. At $40EU+ / day, be sure to take the vehicle out of your "vacation equation" when visiting Amsterdam, and you'll have less headaches.

- My stay at the
- Staff was very helpful - especially when the TV became detached from the wall. The location is excellent being right across the street from the central train station. I really like the setup in the apartment - the entryway separated from all the other rooms, the window looking down on Zeedijk below, the kitchen and the ability to cook in it, the large ceiling windows in the bedroom, and the heated floor in the very spacious restroom. I will be looking forward to staying at another NH Hotel when i return to Europe.
- The main TV was not mounted properly to the wall and when extended on it's arm it became detached from the wall mount and fell forward. This caused a minor inconvenience however the staff worked diligently to resolve this in a very timely manner.
