Description

The Admiraal van Kinsbergen was built in Arnhem and it has a rich history. Between 1891 and the mid-1950s the ship – named 'Jolles' in those days - transported cargo between the Netherlands and Germany. In 2001 the ship was converted to a sailing charter and the masts and sails have given the yacht back its original silhouette. The hotel ship offers 15 cabins, equipped with two large single beds, a private shower and toilet, central heating and air ventilation.

Breakfast is served from 9:00 to 10:30 h. The hotel ship has a restaurant, but you can dine by appointment only. The galley staff on the Admiraal van Kinsbergen will do everything they can to prepare culinary delights for you, such as tasty cold lunches, generous meals, excellent appetizers and buffets.

- The hotel ship does not have a 24-hour reception. You can check in until 18:00 h. If you wish to check in later than 18:00 h, you need to contact the hotel in advance.

Surroundings

The home port of the Admiraal van Kinsbergen is Amsterdam and this is where the ship is located in winter. In summer, the hotel ship sails on the Ijsselmeer and Wadden Sea, the Markermeer and several waterways in the provinces of Friesland and Groningen. It is easy to reach the city centre when the hotel ship is tied up in Amsterdam. Downtown Amsterdam offers many cultural attractions such as Dam Square, the Royal Palace, and you can visit several world famous museums such as the Rembrandt House Museum, the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum.

Kavin Kumar Boat stay recommended- Couple: 23 April 2012; 8.0; + It's always fun to stay on a boat. An experience to remember.; - You stay in a crew cabin, which is not the best of the luxury you can get for the money you pay. Nevertheless it's a ship.

Walter Buri Kajüte in Amsterdam: 24 April 2012; 8.6; + Wunderschönes perfekt gepflegtes Schiff. Ruhige Lage. Reichhaltiges Frühstück. Öffentliche Verkehrsbetriebe direkt vor dem Anlegeplatz.

Toeristen uit Friesland Prima locactie, maar wel klein en weinig luxe.: 24 April 2012; 6.8; + Hotel/bootel op een handige locatie, vlak achter het CS van Amsterdam, je bent binnen een kwartier in de stad. Alles is vanuit hier goed te lopen of met de tram te doen. Ontbijt was prima en bedden lagen goed.; - Het is een klein kamertje waar je niet goed kunt ventileren. Onze kamertje was na 1x douchen helemaal vochtig en klam. Voor een weekend is het prima, maar voor een langere periode vinden wij het niet om aan te raden.

frederic Goedkoop hotel met weinig comfort: 23 April 2012; 6.4; + De strengheid van onbetaald parkeren valt enorm mee en er is ook veel perkeerplaats voorzien Hartelijk ontvangen ook al is er geen balie. Onbijt was uitgebreid en rijkelijk; - kamer is enorm klein en desondanks dit op voorhand te weten schrokken we toch wel even. Misleidende foto toch. Geluidsdichtheid van de kamer was zo goed als nihil. Verwarming stond helemaal af en warmde daardoor ook traag op. In feite was het er nooit warm geweest. Het uitchecken werd gedaan door een ietwat groffe oude man, vermoedelijk de eigenaar...

C'est original de dormir sur un bateau.; - Le bateau est très difficile a trouver et situé assez loin du centre-ville. Le prix est un peu élevé pour la prestation proposée.

ER Good try for a boat experience: 11 April 2012; 5.2; + It's fun to be on a boat. and the breakfast is good. it's clean.; - But the room are small and lack of aeration, so it's very humid. You know you are on a ship, so don't go there if you find the same level of comfort than an hotel. plus, the boat is quite isolated from the city center, you have to take the bus 48 to go there. Warning : there is no twin bed, it's not very good if you are in couple

Anonymous Segelschiffliebhaber aufgepasst!: 5 January 2012; 8.2; + Hotel mal anders. Für jemanden, der das Besondere sucht oder Segelschiffliebhaber ist, genau das Richtige. Familiäre Atmosphäre.; - Wegen des Stahlrumpfes des Schiffes im Winter starke Kondenzwasserbildung. Stört aber eigentlich nicht!

Annette Snellink Romanttische echt iets anders dan een hotel. Helemaal TOP: 26 April 2011; 8.2; + Heerlijk op het dek eten. Goede bediening. Top locatie 10 min van het centrum. Echt een aanrader.; - Misschien een iet wat kleine douche verder prima.
