The cosy Alp Hotel Amsterdam opened its doors in spring 2008. This modern family-run hotel is owned by the Alp brothers and is situated in the Oud West district. The bus and tram stops near the hotel enable the guests to easily reach all important sights that Amsterdam is famous for. Hot drinks and a fruit bar are available 24 hours per day for guests.
The small-scale Alp Hotel is ideally located in the relatively quiet residential area Oud West in Amsterdam. Trams 3, 12, 13 and 14 all stop close to the hotel, which enables guests to easily explore every part of the city. Several interesting sights can also be reached on foot. You can make a lovely stroll through the Vondelpark, walk to the beautiful Jordaan district with its charming shops or pay a visit to the bustling Leidseplein. Every two hours there is a shuttle service from the hotel to Schiphol Amsterdam Airport. This service is available at an additional charge, between 06:50 and 12:50 h. You can book this service at the reception.
The hotel has several room types that are all provided with a private bathroom with a shower or bath, toilet and hair dryer, a television and a safe. Some rooms also have a balcony, Jacuzzi or a kitchenette. Behind the hotel there is a garden with an attractive terrace.
Food and Drinks
The breakfast buffet is served daily from 07:30 to 10:00 h. in the breakfast room. In the evening guest may enjoy a pleasant beverage from the bar. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are plenty of options for a pleasant dinner in the near vicinity.
Internet
In the public rooms and in the hotel rooms WiFi/wireless internet is available for free. Free cable internet is also available in the rooms and the lobby. In the lobby there are two computers.

Surroundings

The Jordaan district is also well worth a visit for its typical Amsterdam atmosphere.

- Si trova in un' ottima posizione sia per passeggiare a piedi, usare i trasporti pubblici o andare in bici. A ridosso dei quartieri più belli della città; è molto pulito, carino, curato e accogliente. Silenzioso. Il personale è simpatico e disponibile. La nostra stanza al primo piano era perfetta! ottima e ricca colazione. Bravi!

- The Alp is only 3 or 4 stops from Dam Sq (on trams 13 and 14 to Bilderdijkstraat) and it drops you right outside the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were offered a welcome drink on arrival. The room was lovely and clean. The breakfast was fantastic and was a good start to the morning. There were small bottles of water and fresh fruit left for us everyday which I had never experienced before. There are 2 computers in the back that you can use and it has everything on it.
I will be staying here again.
- The only thing I could fault was the shower, it was a little slippy and hard to get out of, i'd like to see a matt on the shower basin and a curtain instead of a door.

- The owners were extremely friendly and cordial. The hotel was very clean. The bathroom was nice and had a very good shower.The breakfast was quite good and plentiful.

- Het personeel is zeer, zeer vriendelijk en heel gastvrij. Hele aardige mensen. Heerlijk de koffie en thee wat je ten alle tijden kon gebruiken. Hele nette en keurige kamers. Ja, super gewoon. - jeden Morgen übermäßig viel Kondenswasser an den Fensterscheiben (Dezember), welches Pfützen am Boden hinterlässt, wenn man nicht schon um 07:30 anfängt, besagte Fenster "trocken zu legen";
wenn die Bewohner des Nebenzimmers geduscht haben, kam einige Minuten später das Abwasser aus dem Gulli im Badezimmerboden

- we hadden de luxekamer met balkon en jaccuzi gehuurd maar de jaccuzi bleek gewoon een brobbelbad te zijn..het balkon was zo klein dat ge er met moeite kon staan; De kamer lag op het eerste verdiep aan de straatkant wat betekende dat je de vele tram ,auto'sen zelfs fietsen hoorde passeren naast je bed !!Geen nachtrust dus !!Na lang palaveren met de nachtreceptionist kregen we om middernacht een andere kamer achteraan het hotel.
We ruilden onze "luxekamer" met "jaccuzi" en "balkon" in voor een kleine "drie"persoonskamer met kleine douche maar met een heerlijke nachtrust !
Tja ge kunt niet alles willen !
In ieder geval als ik nog terug zou gaan wordt het een kamer achteraan zonder luxe !!!
