The Amstelzicht Hotel is located in the historic heart of Amsterdam, just behind the Rembrandtplein. Built in 1659, renovated in 1999 and redecorated in 2004, the hotel has been polished by time but perfected by the spirit of the age. From the hotel the inner city is literally at your doorstep, making it an excellent starting point for your visit to the exiting city centre.
From the hotel the city centre is just a stone's throw away, which makes it a perfect starting point for a tourist visit to this bustling city. The rooms have been redecorated in 2004 and some of the rooms offer a splendid view of the Amstel river. The rooms differ in style and each present a unique interior. The renovations that have formed hotel Amstelzicht throughout the years, re-instate the authentic elements which characterise a 17th century canal house. Authentic ceiling and marble ornaments in the hallway have been preserved, as well as the main stairway, which is typical for a canal house in Amsterdam. Unfortunately the hotel does not have an elevator.
The flower market, the Muntplein and various museums can be found just around the corner. The Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank Huis can be reached in just a minute time.
i]Please note:
- It is possible to check in until 22:00 h. You need to notify the reception in advance if you plan to check in later.

- Great Value for money.
- The hotel is at a great location, just one minute away from the lovely rembrandtplein. The rooms were clean, and were cleaned each and every day of our stay. The staff is very helpful and kind as well.
- Although we ordered a non-smoking room, it smelled like many previous guests have smoked in it.
One night we had a mouse in our room because we had leftover food.

- Nice people nice location
- Recently I have stayed at the hotel with my husband and daughter. We had stayed for 3 nights. Location of the hotel is very convenient and is within reach to some of the places of interest in paricular the Central Station. I would like to compliment the reception for their willingness to help us get around the place and help us in their direction. Thanks.
- No elevtion in the hotel, luckily we stayed at the 1st storey beside the reception. There will no 24 hrs reception so make it quite unsecured for the guests after 10pm.

- Avoid this hotel - fly & mosquito infested
- Staff very friendly and polite, good central location.
- Stayed for two nights with my wife and 11 year old daughter. Given downstairs room overlooking back alley of restaurant next door. No heating in room and big problem in room with flies and mosquitoes. Wife and daughter badly bitten. No alternative room offered. Receptionist sprayed room with fly spray and came book to floor covered in dead flies. Manager offered to compensate on checkout, but nowhere to be seen despite arranging time. Hotel not recommended.

- The room wasn't very clean, and the first evening we saw a mouse in the kitchen closet. We do hope you can solve the problem, because there was a big hole which is quite easy to fix.

- Friendly hotel in an amazing location
- The price you pay for this hotel is unbeatable considering that it is the centre of town, so close to the hermitage, flower market and good restaurant district.
- Some of the room fittings are on the old side. Which doesn't really matter if your out enjoying the city all day.

- Great location. The hotel was closed when we got there but once contacting the emergency manager it was very easy to check in. Comfortable beds and good space.

- Central location, easy to get to everything, large room, well kept.
- Central location meant very loud at night. The room we had was beside the blue hotel sign, so the room was pretty light at night, the hotel did provide blackout curtains which made all the difference.

- Easy to access, very close to heart of Amsterdam.
Right next to night live area, with nice restaurants, bars, coffee shops nearby.
Helpful staffs.
Canal view is the main reason we picked this hotel.
- The stairs!! No doubt you need help when move luggages up and down.
They didn't tidy up our room but just clear rubbish and replenish toilet amenities.

- The location of this hotel is excellent! Its on a major street a block from Rembrandt Square. The hotel staff is helpful.
- The toilet was extraordinarily small and the interior of room resembled a motel, but if you plan on exploring the city and just using the hotel to sleep, its fine. One more note, the hotel building is located behind a club, so you can hear the club music loudly at night.

- The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. Top floor right in front of a canal; quaint house boats, countless rows of bicycles and Holland's signature narrow and tall houses. Beautiful.
