- Nice interior - Quite good neighborhood and surroundings, though relatively far from center - Relatively good price for Amsterdam, but comparable with other hotels

- Poor hygiene: when we arrived we found someone else's underwear in a shelf. A receptionist removed it on my request, but he didn't even apologize and didn't offer us any free service as a compensation - I was charged extra 27 EUR city tax without informing me in advance on the website - Old sanitary equipment: broken shower and bath curtain, stain on walls, etc. - Cigarette burnt curtains in a non-smoking room - Poor service for 4 stars: they didn't even offer us breakfast for extra money, although it was not included in the room price - Internet is also for extra payment and too expensive: 10 EUR per day

A nice place to stay

Very clean and quiet with informed helpful staff. The front desk was always friendly and willing to assist. Close to museums and entertainment areas with easy access from the tram. Off the tram and 150 yardsd to the hotel and you are in a very nice neighborhood.

Maybe a little too quiet Big negative is that you would charge 5 euro for 30 minutes to use a central internet connection. Always free in the U.S.!

A good stoney nook

I had the only balcony on the 1st floor, it was a small balcony but a nice view. Tram 5 and 24 were nearby.

Thin walls and the remote would freeze up and not work. Telephone didn't work for room service or lobby.
