+ everything you need is OK - gentle personnel, enough breakfast, everything is clean (I don't care about other tourists complains about old fashioned interior;)), reasonable price according to hotel location and service. Thank you. If anybody complains about noisy steps etc. - don't mind, it's not disturbing at all:))

+ Lo mejor del hotel es la ubicacion,el transporte es buenisimo y sin ningun problema llegamos a todos los lugares los cuales visitamos.La habitacion chica pero comoda,arreglaban todos los dias las camas y cambiaron las toallas todos los dias.El desayuno bien completo y fresco todos los dias,los empleados muy servidores,en una palabra vale lo que se paga

- El elevador muy lento,pero teniendo en cuenta que si este no funcionara el problema seria subir las escaleras y muy empinadas

- Need to pay in advance at arrival, 3% increase of price if paying with credit card, my belongings were removed from the room before checking out time. Chinese owners need to adapt to european standards... I came to Amsterdam, not to china.

- the slowest and the oldest elevator all over the world, room was very small, there was no place even to stand in the room, no soap in the bathroom!, very simple breakfast, no TV remote control!

+ staff at front desk were always very friendly and helpful. The full breakfast included was very good because it allowed us to think and plan our day comfortably

- our room was in the lower level. It had a very small bathroom - basically the shower was the bathroom. As such it wasnt very comfortable to take a shower because water got everywhere.

+ Old building overlooking the canal. Slightly further out of the central district so no problem with late night noise. Room small but clean with one of the few en-suite shower rooms that seem to be in Amsterdam! Good breakfast included (continental). We were thankful for the central heating. We would be happy to stay there again.

- Lift not working so had to climb 2 flights of stairs as well as a number of steps getting into the hotel in the first place. Not suitable for someone with walking disability. If you want modern comfort this is not the hotel to go to. This is an old building that has been transformed into a hotel. Could not open the window for fresh air in the room.

+ Staff is very friendly, breakfast was good. Location was nice also, it didn't take long to walk to the shopping street (about 5 minutes) or the other places we went to.

- Rooms are a bit small, but I only used it for sleeping so it was completely fine.

+ Friendly hotel, good help-yourself breakfast, good location. I would stay there again.

- minor things - built in hairdrayer broken, but they immediatly gave me a new one. Shower hose had a leak, which I even forgot to mention to the, but the bathroom was beautiful.

- was a little pricey for what it was (kind of hostely) one member of staff was very rude to my partner when she was waiting from me in reception late a night. the room was clean as a whole but the bathroom has water stains all over the wall and the shower stand was broken so we could have a stand up shower

+ Perfect location: close to everything and still a very quiet neighbourhood. Quiet hotel, drug free.

- If it were not in Amsterdam, the hotel wouldn't be worth 80 euro for a double room. Old infrastructure (e.g. lift didn't work). Very small room (barely larger than the double bed). Doubts about hygiene. Shower drain clogged upon arrival. Very simple breakfast (with only cheap industrial bread, cheap jam, cheap corn flakes, ...)

+ We had asked for a canal view room and got what we requested. The location is great, about a 25 minute walk to Central Station, only 5 minutes to Rembrandt Square and about 10 minutes to most other tourist attractions. It was also much quieter at night than we had anticipated. The room was a bit small but comfortable and the bathroom clean and surprisingly modern compared to the rest of the hotel decor. Breakfast was continental style, simple but great and filling. The service was excellent - the receptionists were very nice and accomodating. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

+ Nice and friendly staff, clean towels and bed made every day. Breakfast was fine, and location good! Next time we go to Amsterdam we are most likely to stay here again.

- Lots of green flies in the room at night, and the doublebed was sinking in one corner.

+ It had a great location and friendly staff. The price was good for Amsterdam, although expensive for what it was.

- The sheets and towels and curtains had holes in them?!!! This was definitely a budget hotel, but I did not feel it was terribly dirty or anything. Good enough for a weekend.

- Very unfriendly man behind desk when I was leaving the next afternoon- wouldn't let me check email on the computer I'd used the day before,etc. I didn't get his name, but unless he is the owner, I'd have a talk with him or find someone who could do a better job.
