Great location
  • + Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. Close to the trainstation where we arrived from the airport. Good breakfast.
  • We didn t know that the double bed just would be 1,40. A little bit too small. Lucky that we are such good friends and know eachother well. Some good bakerybread would be a nice change for breakfast instead of toast.
  • * my tip Don t miss Anne Franks house and the Noordermarkt on Saturdays. Best restaurant on the whole weekend was Frenzi Restaurant on Zwanenburgwal 232.

chaleureux et prêts à vous aider
  • + Personnel attentif.

Central, clean and cosy with helpful personnel
  • + Very central location. Easy to find when arriving by train, and within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Cosy atmosphere at the hotel, and very helpful personnel. Clean room.
  • Only sheets and a plaid - no duvet. Had to wear clothes in bed not to freeze to death, but then again we were there on the coldes night in April in the history of Amsterdam. Bring pajamas if you are going so stay here during the cold season. Some rooms quite small, but large enough to sleep and nice bathrooms.
  • * my tip The hotel recommended the restaurand Toro Dorado, and it showed out to be a relly good tip! Great meat, good service and close to the hotel. Several other nice restaurants near this one as well.

Would never stay again
  • The rooms in this hotel are very small, hot and humid. There was no soap provided for the shower, only a soap dispenser near the hand basin. No coffee making facilities in room. The towels old and threadbare. The shower drain clogged up. The hotel rates itself as a three star hotel, this is not the case, it should be rated as a one star or one and a half star no more.

Nice surprise!!
  • + fantastic location.. 5 min walk from the station. Easy access to the shopping district and the red light district. Staff friendly and helpful, the breakfast was simple yet filling european style. Free coffee and hot chocolate because the bulding was being painted and there was scaffolding up. Bargain! lovely little place would definitely stay there again! Booked the room with the patio, was great to have a wind down drink before bed in the garden! lovely!

Great wee hotel.
  • + Great location, lovely staff, good value and clean. Would return here any day.
  • Room was very small but was expecting this and was sleeping 99% of the time anyway. Bed a wee bit soft but no problem for couple of nights.

cosy hotel with nice staff, great location
  • + Very friendly staff, situated in the heart of the city. Cosy atmosphere.
  • Strange that there wasn't any cover (or door) in the shower; the whole bathroom was always wet after having a shower. Mattresses too soft and pillows too "bumby" for our taste (we are used to different...). Why not any cucumber or tomato at the breakfast?

A Train Not Really more like Faulty train
  • + location
  • Very Very small room. we booked a what was advertised as a first class spacious room, what we got was a room that was so small you could barely walk between the beds. Hotel staff staff not very helpful. I f this were the only hotel in Amsterdam I would stay in Rotterdam. We visit Amsterdam 2 times per year and never had such bad service from a hotel.

  • + The location of the hotel for me was terrific. The room itself was very clean and quiet. The shower was excellent....never ran out of hot water and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was adequate.
  • The room was very small, but this is to be expected in Amsterdam.

Perfect for basic ambitions of central, comfortable and clean
  • + No complaints about the stay at all! The location was ideal for us, the hotel extremely easy to find as it si just across the street from the central station and the train to the airport. The hotel was clean, beds decent, good super dark curtains to eliminate any light, standard shower. It felt safe as well. All in all a very good and clean choice for ahotel that is supposed to serve as a base during a tourist trip to Amsterdam. The staff should be mentioned as very friendly and helpfull.
  • The price, this hotel provides perfect basics, so even though we enjoyed staying there much more than at a hostel, it still felt pricey.

Great location, great service, great breakfast. No free internet.
  • + Great location. Very clean. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent breakfast with real food. Included everything needed for a painless stay.
  • Walls a little bit thin could get noisy if other guests are noisy. Smallish rooms. You are supposed to give your key to the front desk when you go out, which seemed odd. No free internet (except one free computer in the lobby, but that computer sucks).

Very friendly staff. Greatest location in Amsterdam, good value for mo
  • + The Train Hotel was the first hotel we stayed in on our family trip to Holland. The staff was very friendly and the place has the greatest location in Amsterdam. Rooms are clean and efficient to the visitors, breakfast was nice and coffee was great! After our stay we found out we've forgotten an item at the Hotel. We called to ask about it and the Staff were very cooperative and offered to send in to our house! We'll defiantly go back again on our next visit to Amsterdam.
