• + Close to Restaurants,Tram stop,Staff was exceptional,Great Breakfasts,Nice view.Value for the Money,could easily charge significantly more.
• * my tip Go to Purse museum,a total surprise and very interesting right down the street,never owned one myself but a must see.

A fine hotel in the center of Amsterdam

• + This hotel functions very smoothly, with attention paid to all necessary details. Free internet, minibar, wine, afternoon cheese, and breakfast are all greatly appreciated. The staff isfriendly and helpful.
• – The taps in the bathroom are a bit odd, but the direction for turning them is clearly marked.

Beautiful hotel in wonderful location, great value for money

• + A beautiful, relaxing atmosphere and wonderful staff made this a great experience. With everything included, such as minibar, movies and downstairs bar complimentary this was an excellent deal, and the hotel is right in the centre of the city. Thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Amsterdam for any occasion.

Amsterdam gem

• + Very nice staff, free minibar, free breakfast and beverages in the lobby including alcoholic beverages. Makes you feel very relaxed and able to mingle with other guests.
• – Wish they had better bread in the breakfast table. A simple french baguette would do :-)

• + Free bar, lots of snacks, slippers etc in bedroom all made it a very pleasant stay where you felt you were in something more personal than a hotel without feeling intruded upon. Breakfast is nice and the staff very friendly.
• – No restaurant or room service meant you couldn't have an evening in if you had had a busy day at work

small boutique hotel centrally located in Amsterdam

• – Room not as clean as expected, carpet dirty, bathroom floor wasn't washed while we were in room. Breakfast: fruit salad winey, old. Would have been nice to serve Dutch typical food like pancakes for breakfast Internet: we just came from a less expensive hotel that had totally free internet in the room

• + for over-all value this hotel is worth the stay, details need to be factored in such as free mini bar and refreshments in the lobby. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and it is always great.

• – Kept hassling us to leave the room so they could clean... at 11am!!

• + The hotel staff were extremely friendly and particularly helpful at pointing out local places to visit and eat at. The hotel maintainence was outstanding and extremely comfortable
• – No bath in the bedroom - which for someone with a broken leg made showering quite difficult

Ideal base in Amsterdam

• + Staff are really helpful and genuinely couldn't do enough for us. Location is perfect and I really have no fault. It was lovely after spending day walking to come back and chill in lounge with a nice glass of wine! It is pricey but I think thats the norm in Amsterdam

• + We enjoyed the breakfasts. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. Having a free minibar in the rooms is an excellent idea. It was nice to have free drinks, coffee/tea in the lobby after a long day of walking in town. Service at Banks Mansion is quite good.
• – The fly we noticed on morning enjoying the items on the buffett but when we warned the staff they quickly replaced some of the food. The rooms facing the canal are noisy. If you want quiet rooms, request a room in the back of the building which is what we did after our first night.

• + Lovely Hotel , snacks service great....... Some front desk staff EXTREMELY helpfull and pleasant.
• – Expensive. Gentleman who greeted us very brisk..... Rooms very warm, t.v was hard to work.. Room had not been checked before we came in...

• + Was provided a free upgrade to a "canal" room. Double windows virtually eliminated sound. Great location, within walking distance of major museums. Breakfast was nice (cooked/cold meats, eggs, fruit, cereals). "Free" drinks, TV and internet nice, but not worth high room price. Rooms nicely appointed.
• – Rooms VERY small (compared to cheaper places like Barbizon Palace or Golden Tulip Centre). Constantly heard neighbor's TV in my bathroom. Hot water went out on the last day - was not offered discount (but did not ask for one). Overall nice place, but not worth the high price. Won't stay here again.

• – I booked a room for more than 350 euro a nigth for double deluxe room and they tried to put my nefew (22 years old) and me in a single twin bed for the two of us standard room for this price?

• + The staff were very friendly, and the room was very stylish. Unlike many hotels we have stayed at, it was very quiet at night when the windows were closed. Breakfast was good and the restaurant never seemed too busy.
• – The original room we booked was too small but we were offered another larger room with no hassle. The snacks at the self serve bar should be covered up as they are sitting out for hours sometimes.

• + Breakfasts - excellent Reception - excellent and extremely helpful We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your hotel which made our Amsterdam experience a truly wonderful one to remember

• + Room was nicely appointed. Comp. drinks and fruit are a nice touch. As well as DVD player, speaker system in room and bathroom. It definately was a fun experience.
