- basic but cheap
- very close to station, bars and red light district. also good shower with plenty of hot water.
- very basic, no clean towels and noisy (we were next to the cleaning cupboard and were woken early by whoever was doing the cleaning).
dont bother asking for a no smoking room as they allow smoking in all their rooms.

- fare deal
- excellent location and helpfull staffs.
- Very noisy: the next room, stairs and staff room beside the 216 door. Narrow stairs and no elevator. In the room that we stayed there was only one socklet, which was next to the bathroom door, which by the way was 6 steps to get it. Although we have not used much, the TV was very small and was about 3 meters from the bed, hard to see any legend. Also missed a small fridge in the room.

- Excellent location - friendly service - noisy bells!
- Excellent location and a very helpful and friendly receptionist
- Thin walls and windows meant the quarter hourly bell chimes ran right through us. Maybe double glazing on that side of the hotel would help

- Excellent location, basic rooms, a bit noisy, very cheap
- Excellent location, couldn't be better. Also cheap.
- Noisy at night with people walking up & down stairs. Take some earplugs if you are a light sleeper! Rooms are very basic but if you just want somewhere to spend the night this is ideal.

- the best deal for Amsterdam RLD
- affordable and LOCATION!!
- no elevator, room was on top floor and if you've walked stairs in amsterdam you know they are tiny and plentiful. wasn't the cleanest hotel ever but for price and location it made up for that.

- Skip if you're germophobic, stay if you really don't care
- It is close to the train station so if you are coming in late you could leisurely walk to the hotel(5-10 minutes) without having to worry about tram connections or taking a taxi. It's walking distance to pretty much all city center tourist must-sees if you don't want to bike around. A great plus when travelling by train to other neighboring cities for day trips.
- The street it's on is quiet, but actually it can be loud at night if your room is facing towards the red light district. Ours was actually facing it so we had loud nights of drunken street noise, but it didn't bother us. Ear plugs can be useful. Not a place to stay for the unfit, the claustrophobic and the germophobic. Very narrow steep stairs, through maze-like windowless narrow corridors. Dangerous if there was a fire. Although smoking is not allowed in rooms, the whole place reeks of smoke especially the reception area.We had respiratory issues while inside. We had a quad room where the carpet is in desperate need of change..reallllly!!
The uneven floor made you feel like you will roll off your bed if you're on the higher side of the floor. No toilettries provided which I was aware of( but why?). Towel changes only if you request it from the front desk. No room cleaning unless you request it. Deposits for room key and use of TV required. 10euro for keys and 50 euro deposit for use of TV! We have no use for the TV anyway since we only needed the room to crash at night. In fairness, I've read the reviews before I booked it, but since ours was a spontaneous trip, there were no other hotels available for the days we were there so I clicked " book it" with my fingers crossed. All things considered, I came ready with disinfectant and room slippers for all :-) The sheets were clean though (did not use or touch bed covers) and the shower and toilet were clean as well. So if you're not the type who can rough it out like survivor without the nice hotel amenities and daily room upkeep, this place is not for you. The bottomline for us is that we had a great time in Amsterdam. Would I recommend this place still? Yes if you can live with its minuses. Will I stay there again? No, unless it's the only choice I have :-))

- nice location, but really no privacy
- nice staff, central location
- you leave your key at reception when you leave so the staff know when you are in or out. however, we stayed for 5 days and someone came EVERYDAY knocking and then OPENED the door to collect the garbage. not to clean the room, but just asking for garbage. since i was with my boyfriend this was uncomfortable as they could've cleanded it while we were out.
also, you have to specify if you want a double bed at booking, because we didn't know ad got a 3 bed dorm. pushing beds together is not comfortable :(

- Jammer van ons geld.
- Ligging

- ligging uitstekend, kost weinig
