The Bicycle Hotel employs a sustainable policy, which entails that paper and glass are recycled, environmentally friendly cleaning products are used and sustainable energy is used, for instance from the solar panels on the 'green' rooftop. The Bicycle Hotel actively encourages cycling and bikes are available for hire at the hotel, as well typically Dutch delivery bicycles which are also great for cycling with children. Very close to the Amsterdam market and other key areas of interest. The hotel rents bicycles to guests for a great deal, and I highly recommend biking around! The staff was very friendly and helpful!

I was so happy with the girls at the reception. Friendly and smiling, willing to help when asked. Immediate service (I only remember the name Jeanine, but the other girl was also quite nice). Quiet place, comfortable stay. I appreciate that I was allowed to stay at a 1st floor room instead of a 3rd floor, because I hap a heavy luggage, without extra charge. The best part was the already-marked map, which showed the sights and the bus number that would take you there. Cool!

I know you hear this all the time, but isn't it possible to install an elevator? It was almost impossible to bring my luggage down - and quite dangerous. I kept thinking 'what if something happens now, who will be paying for the hospital?'
And I also think that there were some stains on my bed cover.
