In a quiet residential area at the 'Vondelpark' lies the Borgmann Villa Hotel Amsterdam. This historic villa is characterized by large windows and a tasteful interior with light colours. In this intimate 3-star hotel there are 15 comfortable rooms, that are equipped with a private bathroom with a shower and/or a bath and toilet, a hair dryer, central heating, a television and a radio, a phone and a safe. Some of the rooms offer a view of the 'Vondelpark' and some have their own balcony. There is an elevator in the hotel as well. The breakfast room overlooks the green 'Vondelpark' and a small canal. There is a small outside terrace in the garden at the rear of the hotel. The friendly staff will give you a warm welcome.

The adjacent 'Vondelpark' is popular with locals as well as tourists for activities such as skating, jogging or cycling or for a romantic picnic in the grass. A stroll through the 'Vondelpark' takes you to the vibrant 'Leidseplein', with its outside terraces, restaurants, cafes and clubs. The 'Museumplein' can also be reached on foot, where you will find the 'Concertgebouw' (concert hall) as well as three beautiful museums: the 'Rijksmuseum', the 'Van Gogh Museum' and the 'Stedelijk Museum'. From the hotel there are good connections to the business district of Amsterdam, where the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre and the World Trade Center (WTC) are situated. Schiphol Amsterdam Airport can easily be reached by the A10 ring road.

Between 07:00 and 09:00 h. you can have breakfast in the hotel, and from 08:00 to 10:00 h. during the weekend. Room service is available between 11:00 and 22:00 h.

The Borgmann Villa Hotel lies at the beautiful 'Vondelpark' in Amsterdam. Parking lot: There are public parking spaces in front of the hotel. Places are always available. From Monday to Saturday the costs for parking are €4 per hour and €28.80 per day, between 09:00 and 19:00 h. On Sunday's parking is free (parking costs are subject to change). There is P+R Olympisch Stadion parking nearby, for €6 per 24 hours.

Children: One child up to 2 years old can stay for free in the parents' room. For children older than 2 years old there is a charge of €30 for an extra bed (only on request).

James Henderson Nice hotel but don't expect a good shower in your bathroom: 17 March 2011; 8.2; + Very clean room and bathroom. Friendly helpful staff; - Shower was useless, the head was full of limescale and there was poor water flow. Very disappointing. Also no toilet roll left in bathroom.

Matthew Crawford Borgmann Villa was awesome: 3 January 2011; 10; + Great location right on the park, the back patio of the hotel is separated from the park by a pond/canal/river about 5m wide. English was no problem here. Great staff. Entrance to the park is about a 50m walk. Walking from the hotel through the park to the party district is 1.7km and is very beautiful.; - stairs are steep but they have a lift.

B. Greaves Excellent hotel & location: 2 July 2009; 9.4; + An excellent location in a quiet,smart residential area next to the British Consulate and over looking Vondelpark. We were lucky to have a balcony. Close to Number 2 Tram route which starts at Central station.; - Breakfast at Euro 12 is expensive and no one seemed to partake. We were happy to go to Brasserie De Joffers up the road.

The rooms were clean and quite large for Amsterdam. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and very accomodating.; - The front desk does close early but if you call ahead of time, they will arrange an easy way to pick up the key.

When asked to clean the room - all that was done was tyding the bed, didnt change sheets, infact didnt even do the bed up properly ..... was quite disappointing, possibly the maid wasnt in a good mood!!

Felt like home after a couple of days, and everyone who worked there was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Really enjoyed my stay in this hotel!; - The plumbing was a bit tricky - the shower went lukewarm a few times. The furnishings were nice enough, but not beautiful. But these are very minor things.
