- The room is small. Although the description of the room had a coffee/tea maker, iron, mini-bar-there were non of these facilities.

+ Excellent hotel, most of the Amstradam attractions are in walkable distance from the hotel and very good location.Very helpful staff and excellent service.My daughter and I completely enjoyed our 5 nights stay at 'Best Western Apollo Museumhotel' Thank You staff!

+ When we requested extra pillows they were brought in a timely manner. Also appreciated the complimentary bottled water at the front desk.

- The bed was uncomfortable and the breakfast is not recommended unless you're short on time and that is your only option.

+ Great location. Well decorated and clean room. Free WIFI in the room and Internet usage at reception.

- We had to go outside of reception and down the street to get to our room. The room was at the top of a steep narrow staircase which meant we had to lift our luggage up by hand.

+ Good place nearby State museum, clean room, acceptable price.

- Average breakfast. Very-very small double bed room. Personal required additional deposit (150 EURO for 3 night for me) for example for possible mini bar using as an insurance (for what?). Btw, in the root no mini bar :-) . No boiler in the room. You can ask coffee-maker but it is not good for tea.

- Room was new but small. A frequent problem in Dutch hotels - the shower floods the entire bathroom floor because the basin is not sunk, but at floor level.

+ A good situation regarding the access to the center of Amsterdam, the museums and the RAI.

- The room was a little bit cold, and I did not success on using the thermostat. The breakfast is not as rich as the price could promise. But maybe it is because I am french!

+ Very good location, nice ambiente, bed good, shower good.

- Bathroom nice but too stylish and really not practical- esp. washbowl much too high, not possible to wash the face because of non flexible watertap over the bowl. Glasdoor for the shower is by construction permeable on the bottom so after douche the floor is flooded. Only one hook. summary: should be reformed ... Room very close, bed to table no space

+ Clean, modern and close to the museums for those interested in them. Also in a very lovely up market road, with a tram stop very close and some lovely restaurants dotted around it.

- slightly on the smaller side (or maybe the room we were in). oh yes....the pillows, or more like cushions!! you can afford some better!!

+ Location! This hotel is smack bang in the middle of the museum district and only a couple of tram stops from the city center.

- I booked the "Hot Deal Classic room". I believe the "Classic Room" is different from the "Classic Single Room" however when I arrived I was given the single room on the 3rd floor. The third floor was under renovations and I had to walk past a bunch of building material. On my third morning I was woken by a drop saw right infront of my door. When I left my room in the morning I had to walk through a group of 10 builders on their morning tea break. All of these things were not major issues as I was travelling alone, however I still believe a "hot deal" should still get the same service as any other booking, no less. Be warned that from my experience I think building will still be going on for another 6 months so ring first and confirm your room type and floor.

+ Very polite and helful staff. Beautiful decor throughout, with free wifi and comuters available. Secure and friendly atmoshere.

- Very expensive breakfast at 17.50Euro each and then pretended to offer us a discount of 5Euro-still charging 12.50Euro for a continental breakfast.

+ Central location.Nice staff.

- we were charged 150e cash deposit we didn't know about until we got there. We didn't have soap in the bathroom until our fourth day. The cleaning personnel didn't vacuum the carpets. The room was very small and the double bed was a twin bed. There was a lot of construction noise at the hotel.

- It was ordered a room with two separate beds. This was not responded to and one double bed were given instead. Not appropriate for two individual females. The room was very small.

- there was a lot of banging and works when i arrived in the afternoon after a night of travelling i was unable to sleep due to the noise and had to go out until after 6 when the banging finally stopped, I told the reception staff, but they did not offer me alternative room, Also as I arrived alone with my luggage there was no-one to help me up the entrance stairs with the luggage, I was tired and would have apprciated the help, also no-one helped me or showed me to my room, that too would have helped.

+ THE HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE STAFF WERE REALLY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.THE HOTEL WAS IN A PERFECT PLACE RIGHT NEXT TO A PARK AND NEAR BARS AND RESTAURANTS AND NOT RIGHT IN THE CENTRE SO IT WAS PEACEFUL AT NIGHT.THE HOTEL IS HAVING WORK DONE TO IT BUT THAT DIDNT EFFECT OUR STAY ONE BIT!

+ Excellent hotel in very central location. Late check out arranged with no problem. Staff very friendly and helpful.

- No yogurt available and as I was very sick the whole weekend this was a little disadvantage. Also, no mini bar in room as advertised. Breakfast we did not have appeared on bill. However, this was deducted with no problem.

+ Close to museums. Great location.

- The foyer was slick and modern, but the room was dark and old fashioned and cold. Radiator on wall didn't work, and portable oil filled radiator didn't work either. When I mentioned this I was asked why I didn't ask for an extra blanket! I'm a regular visitor to Amsterdam and have stayed in many hotels around here. This was well below average.

+ Good location. Free computers in the lobby area. Spacious room and bathroom.

- If only the room matched the modern lobby. The room was in terrible need of updating. Old carpet and drapery. Patch work room repairs, eg, foam filling to seal draft spaces in the walls. Room in need of a fresh coat of paint.

+ View from room was nice (PC Hooftstraat) and lobby and restaurant area were nice. Bathroom was clean and new.

- Room and furniture were old and worn, carpet was stained and A/C was not working (very bad thing in summer). Taxi fare from Central Train station was very high (EUR 22.50), because this hotel is just (100 yards) outside the "official city center". Not a good deal compared to other hotels in the city center.

+ Overall good eventhough the classic room is very very small.

- book the 14 days advance 'HOT DEAL' package, thought that is the END-best offer but turn out to be changeable to a much lower rate. Not sure if thats the HOtels.nl or the hotel faults. It will be fine if they can help upgrade the room or maybe just a fruit basket or anything with a very little surprise but NOT ATT ALL! Would RECOMMEND to book hotels around 5 days prior to your travel date, you will get a much cheaper rate or maybe you can even upgrade to a better room/hotel!!
