- Location great, can be loud.
- Location, Cleanish, one guy behind the desk was helpful.
- can be very loud during the night as it is right on the main street. One of the guys behind the desk was a little rude. U pay for what you get, It was one of the cheaper options and the location was perfect for us, u just have to put up with the noise from the street.

- No value for money hotel
- Center of town. Main public transport just few steps
away.
- The room has no fan or aircond. It was hot during my stay (summer). No place for shower!! just a toilet to share with others. The worse hotel I ever stay during my 7 days tour in Europe. To make it worse, the price is among the highest

- Great place for people on a budget
- The location was great as the hotel is really close to the central station and you can walk straight into the red light district from the hotel. The staff was really nice and housekeeping was good. We stayed in an ensuite room and the bath was really nice and big (compared to other budget hotels where I've often experienced problems with the water and space in general).

- Great location, limited space in room
- Location was the best point, as was close to all the places, bars etc I wanted to go to in Amsterdam. Interesting people staying there
- as I had single room I wanted somewhere to hang
my clothes, could have had some hooks on the wall
or something. Couple of the staff were a bit rude

- Cheap hotel.
- It's evident this hotel central location is it's most relevant point.
- Concernig other aspects, we think that rooms shortage in Amsterdam is the reason why they don't improve their premises. As results of this it is uncomfotable, noisy and a with a quite rude staff who even banged at our room door at 9h00 intending us to leave for cleaning rooms, when chek-in time is 15h00. Eve we had to leave (how to sleep, then) they didn't clean the rooms or replace paper, towels, etc.
One of the most upsetting things was paying an extra 5% in case of paying with credit card. This only happened to us in the Netherlands, nowhere else along our frequent travels.

- Cheap, but noisy and saggy mattress
- Right in the centre - on the main road the Damrak I think.
- Window didn't close properly and was single-glazed, so with the traffic noise outside (Amsterdam main street) it was not quiet for sleeping.
Also the mattress was far too soft, and I woke up in the morning with a stiff neck.

- Maintenance is not perfect: room 100's radiator was stuck on max and couldn't be turned down. Not a disaster.

- The location is really wonderful. You are right on Damrak, and close to everything. The rooms are OK, and the staff are fiendly and helpful in geneal.
- Walls are too thin (especially on the 4th floor). And, altough I beliee it was a mistake, the cleaning guy directly entered to our room at 10:00 a.m. (checkout time)while we were still in the bed. So, lock the door while you're sleeping. It's not to say the hotel is not safe, but they have to be careful about boundaries. These were the only minor problems we had there.

- You get wot you pay for
- brilliant location, next to coffee shops and red light district, everything close to hotel.
- our room was on the fourth floor which had no lift and the stairs were very steep, but to be fair in amsterdam all the stairs are steep. All in all you get wot you pay for dont go expecting the Ritz.

- Inexpensive but not comfortable
- Near the center, cheapest available, service friendly even if minimal. Cleaned regularly.
- Lacking in facilities (not all rooms have bathrooms and toilets), no elevator makes climbing to the fourth floor an ordeal. The 3-person room had two beds, the supposedly double one being just a little bigger. Rooms too small.

THERE ARE many and narrow stairs, and took some time for us to learn the way to our room, but it's part of the experience of a townhouse in Amsterdam, I imagine!

- Spot on location, right in the heart of Amsterdam with some shops right outside the door selling everything you need when you wake up - coffee, food and cigarettes. Bathroom was brilliant as we had a bath with shower and a double sink and it was a very large bathroom. Vending machine with snacks and ciggys came in handy.
- Our window faced prob one of the noisiest areas so could here all the partying, also walls are very thin. There are soooo many steps and they are very steep and no lift, not too bad as we were 1st floor. Could only find 1 plug socket (founf the other 2 behind the bed about 5 minutes before we left)
No mirror near the socket so doing hair proved a task! Our room was very dark even with all the lights on. May i add that i think it depends on the room as to what pro's and con's you get as everything missing/bad in our room was ok in our friends and vice versa
