It was clean and nicely decorated and very convenient and good value for money. Also it was good to be able to leave luggage on thee last day after checking out.

There was nothing to say the steps were so steep and there was no lift. It was very difficult for my elderly brother with a heart complaint. Also htere was no mindication until the booking had beeen made that there was no breakfast included.
*my tipGood for tram routes for example to Rembrantplein for the "Old Bell"

Reasonable accomodation for young tourists
+
- Excellent location in the Centre
- A good atmosphere of an authentic Amsterdam building
–
- A bit poor vs. price
- Parking facilities
*my tipThis Hotel is intended for young tourists rather than elderly people or families with small children. The stairs are challenging!
Parking nearby is a horror.

A GREAT PLACE TO STAY IF YOU CAN COPE WITH THE STAIRS

THE LOCATION OF THIS HOTEL IS FANTASTIC.

THE STAIRS WERE THE KILLER FOR ME. IF ONLY THE BUILDING HAD AN ELEVATOR?

Avoid this hotel no matter how much they pay you to stay there!
–
Did not stay at this hotel. I forfeited the first night rental. This hotel defines bad fung shui. The room was up a very narrow spiral staircase to the closet sized lobby then through a narrow hallway and back down an even narrower spiral stacase that dead ended at the room. In case of fire it would be a dead end. I'm surprised they allow them to rent such an awful room. I would stay if paid to!

cheap crash pad in amsterdam with good location, but not cleanest ever
+
Good location, its located on a main street and less than 5 minutes walking distance to the red light district.
–
Stairs make it not accessible for old, disabled, those with kids, or if you have a lot of luggage (its so steep we called it our tree house hotel). Not the cleanest hotel but what could you expect for 69 euro in amsterdam. If you're driving parking will be a pain since you have to park on the street or in a parking garage thats 50 euro a day!

Very steep stairs, free Wifi, comfy bed, Not Child Friendly!
+
The hotel was relatively close to Centrum Station and was right across the street from the entrance to the red light district which was ideal. Bed was comfortable.
–
The stairs were very steep like a ladder. Not child friendly. Would not stay agian there unless I was in Amsterdam without children.

Never again!
+
Location (but that is the only plus-thing I can think of)
–
Never got a welcome or a goodbye. Staff never smiled. Stood several minutes 30 cm in front of the receptionist before she even bother to look at me. No help with luggage. Toiletpaper in stairs. VERY DIRTY rooms! Showerwater ran into the hotelroom. Almost no lights in room. When people walked in the corridore outside our room, it was like they walked in our room. It all was ended with the worst service ever, as i asked to urgently use a toilet when picking up our luggage. Got one word back: "No". Will never recommend this to anyone, and certainly NEVER come back. PS! The photos of the rooms were probably taken 20 years ago!
