Enjoy a unique stay in Amsterdam on one of the most beautiful sailing boats in the Netherlands: Hotelschip De Nieuwe Liefde. The ship is moored on the edge of the centre, near the Java island. By bus the Central Station of Amsterdam is easy to reach.

The ship offers twelve stylishly decorated double cabins with central heating and a private shower or bath and toilet. Cabins are cleaned daily and you receive fresh towels daily as well. There is a lounge, a bar and a library. You can also take a seat at the captain's table in the pilothouse, which has a panoramic view of the water. The ship is very suitable for team building days and business meetings in small groups.

Food and Drinks

Before you leave the ship, you can enjoy a nice breakfast in the salon. This stylish room also features a bar and a library. On the Java island there are several restaurants. On the other side of the Javabrug bridge you will find both restaurants and cafés, as well as the concert hall Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ.

Internet

There's free WiFi on the top floor. Wifi doesn't work in the rooms due to the steel walls.

- The hotel ship does not have a 24-hour reception. Guests can check in until 19:00 h. If you like to check in later, you need to inform the reception in advance.
- On request an additional bed can be placed for €30 per night.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Luggage can be stored on request.

Surroundings

Hotelschip De Nieuwe Liefde in Amsterdam lies in the IJ river at the Java island. On this island you can admire modern canalhouses and unique walking and cycling bridges. Via the bridge you can reach the main land. Amsterdam Central Station is easily reached by bus. In this part of the city you can also visit the maritime museum Nederlands Scheepvaartmuseum and science center NEMO.

Friendly, relaxed service. Bus stop very close (useful as 20 mins walk from old centre); - The two single beds pushed together did not work as a double bed. This was the one thing that detracted from what would have been a very romantic hotel. Land lovers may find the rocking sensation disorientating when back on dry land (as my girlfriend did). It didn't bother me.

Whats the point of going Amsterdam and living on land while you could live on a boat for a day or two, enjoying the life of Amsterdam. This is highly recommended for those who is not seasick, and those who prefer quiet and peaceful area and living.

The staff made me feel like I was at home. The inside of the ship was so romantic - too bad I was alone. Next time I will bring my sweetie. You must stay at this hotel ship. The price was the best and to me - it was worth every penny. There were plenty of romantic places to eat nearby. And they have a BAR with an awesome bartender!!!. Serve me up a cold beer please. It had sailed away for a cruise, and we had to wait for 4 hours with our packs for it to arrive. 2 - View: We were given a room with a view of the dock. Very disappointing after the long wait. 3 - Tilt: The boat was listing, so we kept ending up in a pile at the side of the boat!

D.B. van Kesteren Prima Hotel voor een kort verblijf!: 10 May 2012; 8.0; + Vriendelijk ontvangst door de eigenaren. Het schip en de kamer zijn netjes, erg schoon en heel goed onderhouden. De eigenaren hebben er echt iets moois van gemaakt. De bedden lagen lekker, hoewel niet alle kussens even confortabel waren. Van andere hotelgasten had je geen hinder. Na een dag en avond Amsterdam was het heerlijk en rustig slapen.; - Een piep kleine badkamer, maar voor een kort verblijf was het prima dus eigenlijk is dit geen minpunt. Een extra raampje (naast het lichtkoepelraampje) die ook open zou kunnen was wel welkom geweest. Het kan daardoor bij warm weer benauwd aanvoelen.

M: 1 April 2012; 8.0; + Uitstekende bereikbaarheid naar CS en de P&R Zeeburg (beiden met lijn 26 en 48, beiden lopend te bereiken). na een dag rondlopen in Amsterdam is het heerlijk toeven in het rustige hotel. Er varen boten voorbij maar daar hoor je niets van. Personeel erg aardig en vriendelijk, heerlijke bedden en prima douche! Echt een aanrader als je een ander soort overnachting wilt hebben dan in een standaard hotel. Heerlijk ontbijt en geweldige ambiance!; - Geen minpunt, maar let er wel op dat je goed ter been bent. Anonymous Sfeervol drijvend hotel direct naast het centrum van Amsterdam: 2 January 2012; 9.0; + perfecte locatie, in de yuppen buurt, op wandelafstand van het CS en naar het centrum van Amsterdam. Vriendelijke eigenaar en zijn vrouw, prima ontbijt en ontspanningsruimte. Mooie omgeving: het Java eiland; - bij sterke wind enige geluiden van mast e.d. Maar dat kun je ook sfeervol noemen.
