Hotel Flipper is an affordable hotel in 'Amsterdam-Zuid' (Amsterdam South). From the hotel you can reach the lively 'Albert Cuypmarket' and the 'Heineken Experience' on foot. The 'Museumplein', the city centre, the RAI and the WTC can be reached easily by public transport.

Hotel Flipper is situated in the residential area 'Amsterdam-Zuid'. This town district is characterized by the architecture of 'Berlage', who also designed the former stock exchange building 'Beurs van Berlage', which is located in the city centre. The area is best known however, for its lively 'Albert Cuypmarkt', that can be reached on foot from the hotel. Here you can buy vegetables and fruits as well as clothes and accessories at favourable prices. Near the 'Albert Cuypmarkt' lies the 'Heineken Experience', where you get an insight in the production process of this world famous beer brand. Hotel Flipper is located near tram stops of lines 4 and 12 and a bus stop of line 15. By public transport you can reach the 'Museumplein' and the city centre in about 10 minutes. The RAI conference and exhibition centre can be reached in 10 minutes and the World Trade Centre in just over 20 minutes. On foot you can also reach the 'Amstel' train station.

The cosy and warm family hotel has basic room types, with shared shower and toilet facilities and rooms with a private bathroom. There are triple and quad rooms as well. All rooms are equipped with television, phone, wake up service/ radio alarm clock, central heating and free wireless Internet. cheap and worth the money. traveling with 2 friends on a low budget so it was ok for us. if youre looking for luxury, this is not for you. hot water in shower and a place to sleep.

Bedbugs

The bed was more or less comfortable, and the toilet was very close to our room.

The private room we rented was extremely cramped and poorly ventilated, with a shower/sink room that did not drain well due to the slope of the floor. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Most importantly, my husband left with what could only have been bedbug bites -- very uncomfortable!

the room was a decent size. perfect for sleeping off jet lag. there was always staff present.

very hard to communicate with them. would not recommend this hotel to people staying there for more then one night; every time you leave the hotel you have to give back the room key to the front desk and then flash a card to let them know you are staying there when you come back.

Service: With normal breakfast at 8, they served us at 7 on our checkout day when we had to leave early to catch our plane. Location: The hotel is near a tram stop. We chose to travel further to get a quiet backstreet location instead of nearby in the noisy downtown. Hygiene: The lavatory was cleaned daily, and we got new towels each day as well.

We were charged ¤90 weeknights, ¤100 weekends. This is an absolute ripoff for a one-star hotel. Comfort: This is a minor point, but there needs to be more, or brighter, light in the room. We found it difficult to read.

If you want to experience the locals of Amsterdam, this hotel is ideal. It occupies part of an apartment block a few klms south of the city center where you get a real feel of the place. No.4 tram is just up the street so getting around is no problem. There is a shopping mart and everything you need close by. Breakfast is included and is quite good. Lots of fresh fruit etc.

The hotel is an older one and so does need some renovation to get it up to scratch, one day. Most rooms have a shared bathroom but these are quite clean.

waarom thuis blijven voor de prijs hoef je het niet te laten

ik vind hotel flipper zeer zeker voor de prijs een netjes schoon hotel. ik kom zo ongeveer 1 keer per mnd minimaal in amsterdam ben dus in heel veel hotels geweest .en zal hier zeker als eerste kijken om weerr te boeken.vind betalen per ideal perfect.

Goed voor 1 of 2 nachtjes, niet langer.

Bedden zijn niet groot, maar lagen lekker en verder was het allemaal wel schoon.

De douche was klein en oud, de douchekop-houder bleef niet vaststaan. Het is wel een gehorig hotel, volgens mij is het een oud studentenhuis geweest ofzo.

Hier komt een hele lijst; Vieze kamer; veel vlekken op tapijt en muren, haren op het bed. Veel dingen kapot; douche hangt niet op, scheur in het gordijn, t.v. slecht beeld, achterkant kast ligt er bijna uit, handgreep kast is afgebroken. Ontbijt; redelijk uitgebreid, maar het brood en de broodjes zijn oud. Het personeel spreekt geen Nederlands! De manager een klein beetje. We hadden wel wat slechte dingen op hotels.nl over het hotel gelezen, maar we dachten laten we het gewoon proberen. We zijn heel snel tevreden, dus het komt wel goed. Maar dat dit in Nederland kan is echt niet te geloven. Dus boek dit hotel echt niet!

Geen badkamer op de kamer, douche op de gang was in een zeer slechte staat, zeer vuil gordijn en de rest was ook niet schoon, geen haakjes om iets op te hangen. De wc pot in de gang staat los, ook hier geen haakjes. Deuren hebben geen "hotelslot", je moet ze afsluiten met een sleutel wat in geval van brand een zeer ongevaarlijke situatie opleverd, dit is wettelijk ook niet toegestaan.

Ein guter Aufenthalt in einem Hotel in ruhiger Lage

Das Personal im Hotel war sehr nett. Es war gut, dass wir Fahrräder direkt beim Hotel mieten konnten. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und gut.

Die Bettwäsche ließ etwas zu wünschen übrig (meine Bettwäsche hatte ein paar Flecken).
