Nice, but not as nice as it thinks it is....

The male receptionist - sorry, didn't catch his name but he is Dutch - was extremely friendly and helpful when we checked in. And the room was very nice and clean, with a huge comfy bed.

1) We were put into room 107, which is not attached to the main part of the hotel, it's across the courtyard with a few other rooms. As it is a no-smoking hotel, we had to stand outside in the rain. The hotel thoughtfully provided an ashtray (with a non-smoking tag on it) which we used outside as there wasn't one outside the building on our side, and the next day we received a nice letter from reception saying that the cleaning staff had noticed that we had been smoking in our room (not true) and if it happened again we would be 'fined' 50 euros. If you insist on being a no-smoking hotel, please at least install some proper facilities like a shelter and some seats, this isn't a workplace, we were supposed to be on holiday! 2) No coffee or tea making facilities, which is pretty poor considering the room is not in the same building as the main part of the hotel. We were given a kettle etc. when we asked for it, but were told that we couldn't get any coffee. So we had to buy our own. That's pretty mean considering we paid nearly 500 euros for 4 nights, isn't it? 3) Charging 16.50 euros for breakfast is far too much. 4) There was no mirror on or near the dressing table.

service is poor like when we sent two of my comapanion's jeans for laundry, the desk person state that it will arrive the next day, the latest is around 12 noon, but my comapanion didnt receive it until 9 pm later that evening.

Well located, friendly service, efficient. Rooms worked okay for 7 Gents on a weekend away. Thanks. Overall better value than last years Barcelona accommoation.

Rooms where okay shower needed a little attention, could have benefitted from an extractor to get rid of steam. and abetter shower curtain, the toilet area got very wet. but this is only a minor issue.

Zentrumsnahe, ruhige Lage

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, Zimmer klein, aber äußerst sauber.Sehr ruhige Lage und doch in Reichweite der Besichtigungspunkte (von Vondelpark bis Oudekerk. Tramstation in der Nähe.

Das Frühstück war den Preis von € 16,50 nicht wert. Ich hätte mir dazu z. B. sausages, scrambled egg oder bacon gewünscht.

Mooie kamer, goede ligging

Prijs/kwaliteit van het ontbijt niet in verhouding. Voor € 16,50 verwacht je minimaal roerei. Broodjes van zondag waren oudbakken. Mannelijk personeelslid op de receptie is drukker met zuchten en steunen om alles wat niet volgens plan verloopt, dan zijn gasten een warm welkom te bieden. Het is dat zijn collega ingreep, anders moesten we nog vooruit een bedrag betalen voor evt. ontbijt of minibar. Dat is geen gastvrije ontvangst.

Prima hotel aan de rand van het centrum in Amsterdam

Prima kamer, goed bed, lekker geslapen. Verrassend rustig gedurende de nacht, zeker voor een hotel vlakbij het centrum van Amsterdam. Vriendelijke mensen, geen enkel punt om de bagage op de ochtend van ons vertrek nog een hele dag voor ons te bewaren.

Beetje vreemde koffiekannen. Kennen maar twee standen: helemaal dicht of helemaal open. Zeker als je nog wat slaperig bent, kan je hete koffie over je heen krijgen. Kleine parkeerplaats zonder reservering.

Hotelkritik

Das zwar teure, aber überaus reichhaltige Frühstücksbufet war hervorragend. Der Zimmerservice erledigte seine Reinigungsaufgaben vorbildlich.

Das Doppelzimmer war für 2 Personen zu beengt. Das Dachfenster konnte wegen der lästigen Blickkontakte zu den im gegenüberliegenden Bürohaus tätigen weiblichen Angestellten nur spaltbreit geöffnet werden. Wegen zwangläufig herabgelassener Jalousie kaum Tageslicht im Zimmer 319. Von Ihnen nicht zu veertreten: Laute Gespräche nachts um 3 Uhr zwischen Personen auf dem Hotelflur,

Een aan te bevelen goed hotel.

Rustige ligging, nabij openbaar vervoer, vriendelijke ontvangst, goed bed, goed ontbijt. De renovatie is een grote verbetering geweest.

De douchecabine in mijn kamer (325) is voor een groot mens als ik veel te klein (lxbxh=90x65x200); bij het uitgeven van de kamer moet men daar rekening mee houden. Helaas ontdek je zo iets 's avonds laat, als je de kamer al in gebruik hebt genomen.
