A very welcoming and relaxing stay.

• + The bedroom was excellent. The staff were very friendly. Check- out time 12 o`clock was a bonus. Bus-stop outside the hotel, with buses running every 5 -10 mins. It was a very enjoyable stay.

Could be better

• + not many
• – No flex to refund prepaid room rate.

Disappointed

• + Larger rooms, good breakfast buffet, helpful reception
• – Location - 10 min from the Central Station by bus. The quality was worse as compared to the previous stay (November 2010). One of the nights there was a peculiar smell coming from the AC. Writings on the wall, the housekeeping constantly forgets to replace the toiletteries, the reception forgets to keep track of the extra payments (laundry etc) leading to a mux-up at the check-out.

Fairly priced, clean, and a bus ride away to Central Amsterdam!

• + Stayed here before plenty of times, definitely rate it. Staff are welcoming and prompt at check in, was in room within 5 mins of arrival. Room was large, very clean and a shower separate from the bath was a touch! Just outside central Amsterdam, but the bus stop out the front makes it worth it.

Ridiculous fees/charges

• – The hotel charged me 9 euro/min for making an international call. This is the most ridiculous bill I've received my entire life. I was not told prior to the call what the charge was. Where in the world are you charged 9 euro/min for making a call? I'm still planning on taking this matter up! The 17 euro breakfast was not worth it at all! 5-7 euro should be the max for that breakfast.

Right hotel at the right price in the wrong place

• + Service, free inernet, clean modern rooms, nice beds

OK but nothing special

• + Free wifi, but a bit unreliable. But the room had a network cable anyway so no problem. Good steak dinner.
• – My XXL room was really just a M. I imagine anyone staying here to visit Amsterdam (I wasn't) would find the location a problem. WIth these two points, I don't think it's good value.

Amsterdam Art, reasonable priced, clean hotel a few km from city.

• + Easy reach of Centraal Station and city by public transportation Bus 48. Taxi E12.50. Very clean room, crisp linen. Bathroom spotless. Very comfortable. Staff friendly. I have used this hotel before and it was equally good. Recommended.
• – Breakfast mediocre. Nothing to see locally, at all.

Pleasant stay at 'Golden Tulip Amsterdam Art'

• + Very nice, spacious, well furnished room

• – By check-in they cannot found our reservation and pressed us to accepted some others hotels below of booked category and at other location. If we disagreed, they founded our booking without a problem!

• + nice sized room, very comfortable bed, nice shower/bathroom, quiet - no noise from adjoining rooms or traffic. free wifi - excellent connection speed.
• – lavatory separate from shower/bathroom, automatic minibar (which tried to charge me for looking inside!). location was a bit far for me to walk into city centre - only one bus (however bus stop was close enough). The fact that the whole hotel is going NO SMOKING from 1st July 2008.

• + Swimming pool
• – I have booked my room almost 2 month before arrivig. I asked a non smooking room on one of the top floors. At my arrival I have got a smooking room with apropriate smoked air on the first floor. Next day I was relocated to a room fitted to my willingness. It means, that I had to pack my luggages again etc.

• + places were clean and tidy, not far away from Ams central, services were good
• – toothbrush n paste were not provided, and also slippers, and the bed and pillows were too soft

• + Good out of town location, but close enough to walk or hop on a bus. Nice selection of bar snacks, and TV channels. Staff helpful and knowledgeable about the area

• – not exactly in the center of the city, but you can take the bus right in front of the hotel.

• + friendly staff..nice cozy room..the quilt and specially the pillow was v comfortable..free wifi internet.. and the chicken wings at the bar was very yummy..
• – no cafetrias and shops close by..no sports channel on tv..

• – The breakfast that you could order to your room was forgotten. It was put ready but the waiter forgot all about it. How do i know? Bread was dry and the coffee cooled off quite a bit.

• + The manager at the hotel was very accommodating and gave us a choice of rooms. In the end we chose a room with 2 single beds and a very comfortable sofa. My son loved it. They provided a superb service. My friend and I are planning to return in the summer. Tell Daniel (one of the waiter) that Craig says Hi.
• – It was quite costly as each drink and snack was at an additiona cost. It would be an idea to increase the initial price to include breakfast or snack from the fridge.

• + very close to center - fine public transport safe parking - and not too expensive available
• – late arrival after a long drive by car - hungry as.... - bar open, excellent - till you find out that they got no food at all

• + nice and modern rooms, elevator, not too expensive
• – far from the city (when walking) unfriendly stuff expensive breakfast

• – Beware of taxi fares from Central Station - charged 4 different fares ranging from 18 to 50 euros

• + Better than expected; meal in bar good
• – Price too dear; too far from centrum; restaurant looked too expensive;taxi to airport of Euros 38 set price excessive
