- Nice and quiet with good connections
- Very hospitable and friendly staff. The room was a nice and quiet room. Cosy view from window. Very good connections to both airport (by bus) and the city (several trams to choose from). Remember to buy tramticket in newsshops - much cheaper than buying on the tram! The optional breakfast was good and various.
- Bathroom too hot for summer. Maybe the towels could be changed more frequent? But we feel that if we asked, we would have gotten the change.

- Very helpful with advice about the city and allowed us do online check-in on their computer.
Breakfast room with garden access. Staff very friendly and personable. Near museums.
- Best to plan beforehand how to get there from Central Station.
Converted older house so steep stairs, smallish rooms.

- Beautifully restored epoque building, very nice staff.
Still has that boutique flavour.

- A friendly hotel at the heart of Amsterdam
- I was looking for a hotel that would be friendly and personal, as well as offering a high quality of service. I also wanted somewhere fairly quiet despite being central. I found all this in Hotel Heemskerk and really enjoyed my stay in this lovely little hotel.
- As they say on their website, the rooms are quite small but I believe that this is normal for Amsterdam.

- I LOVE AMSTERDAM
- Hotel owner is a very friendly and kind gentlemen.
He can give you many hints about the city.We liked the family room very much. Bathroom is of strategic importance for me at a hotel room. it was perfectly designed.
- It was a bit expensive for a half broken bed.

- Expensive, but unforgettable
- Hotel is very cosy and nicely furnished. A great alternative for all the impersonal hotels which look the same all over the world. It's centrally located, but quiet. My favourite hotel in A'dam.
- Even for Amsterdam, it is rather expensive.

- excellently situated behind the Concert Gebouw and near the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum with abundant and frequent tram lines. The management was EXCELLENT. Super nice, friendly, helpful. Made me feel very welcome and they went out of their way to accommodate my needs.
- The rooms are very small, but that's typical for Amsterdam. The room was very well kept and clean and had the amenities of a 3 star hotel; the mattress I slept on was a bit too soft, but it was certainly clean.

- Norman made us feel very welcome. He was the best part of it. It was a very friendly cosy hotel really well located. Would definitely go back
- We stayed 3 nights and all we wanted was a cup of tea each day. After the second day there were no teabags left as they didn't replace them - a minor point but important

- Quiet hotel, in nice surroundings, just behind the Concertgebouw, and close to a park. Good breakfast at a decent price, although not included with the room. Very friendly personnel.
- Our double room was rather small and the price paid was close to the maximum indicated in the price range for this room. September seems to be very expensive in Amsterdam.
