At a convenient location on the south-east side of the centrum lies Hotel Allure Amsterdam. By car or public transport the hotel can be easily reached. Metro numbers 50, 53 and 54 have a direct connection between the central train station and the stop 'Weesperplein', at just 2 minutes on foot from the hotel. A limited number of parking spots is available in a garage. The hotel rooms each have a private bathroom and all rooms can be reached with the elevator.

From the hotel you can go for a nice walk in the 'Plantagebuurt'. This green city district houses the Artis Zoo and the 'Hortus Botanicus'. It only takes a minute by metro to reach the flea market of the 'Waterlooplein'. The shops of the 'Kalverstraat' and the 'Rembrandtplein' are close to the flea market.

Food and Drinks

For breakfast guests can visit the breakfast room between 07:00 or 11:00 h. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but there is a wide choice of restaurants in the surrounding area. By tram or on foot the 'Rembrandtplein' is easy to reach as well. This square is surrounded by restaurants, bars and clubs.

Scarlet Bell Decker Lovely hotel with lots of charm.: 6 January 2011; 8.2; + After a little walk through a dark neighborhood, we found ourselves at the base of a hotel with beautiful and clean red steps. The feng shui was undeniable. Our front door man, Zi-Jian,a Scorpio, was charming, sweet, funny and very helpful. Check in was quick, and we were in our room showering with HOT water asap. The room was very clean and cozy. The balcony was big enough for two people to smoke comfortably. An unexpected plus was a giant flat screen tv, with many selections to choose from. Even on the first floor, it was quiet and relaxing all night. The boiling water maker was a life saver, as we arrived to late to go to dinner, and were forced to make our emergency noodles. When asking the door man for some bowls, we were let in the kitchen to find what we needed, and given chocolates before returning to the room. Breakfast in the morning and coffee was just enough to fill our bellies and prepare us for a long day of shopping. Which was only possible because our precious door man let us leave our luggage at the hotel after we checked out, for the remainder of our visit in Amsterdam, so that we did not have to haul it around.; - The beds were a little to "spring" mattress, and could be replaced. The shower was very tiny, and meant only for the healthy and fit, aka "under 150bs". The advertisement for the room should mention that the hotel is located in a quiet part of the city, and that the balcony does not overlook a busy street, but rather a lovely little garden.

It was a little way out from the centre but public transport was within easy reach so getting around was fine.

The room was clean and nice, breakfast was ok, just perfect for us. Exactly what we needed for a few days in Amsterdam. And it didnÂ´t break our bank account.; - The size of the room was on the small side, but honestly, we had what we needed, the layout was smart and we never felt uncomfortable. It wasnÂ´t right in the centre of the city, but if you think ONE metro stop (to Waterlooplein) is too much, then it was too far away for you.

We liked that the hotel is a little bit away from the city center (only few minuts with the metro, 5 min. on bike, 20 min by foot). Nice neighborhood. Supermarket not far away. Acces to free internet (15 minuts). Good flatscreen tv with lots of channels (also international). Breakfast was included. Coffe and teamaking facilities. Possible to buy snacks for fair prices (vending machine).; - Breakfast was not so interesting, but not bad either.

Anonymous Hot town tonight!!!: 16 July 2009; 7.0; + The hotel is easy to get to and has close links via tram or walking to all the major sites.; - The room we stayed in was unbearably HOT... and never successfully cooled even with a fan blowing all day while we were out. We never discovered the cause of the heat buildup, though I discussed this with the reception staff - several light bulbs blew while we were there (three nights) so there may be a wiring fault.

David Annett Hotel allure: 19 March 2009; 6.0; + rooms r nice and cosy! with a good selection of televisions channels.; - there seems to be a lot of late night and early morning noise around the hotel, with drills going , constant banging and shouting. this made it difficult to get a good sleep. found this strange as it is not anywhere near the city centre, it says a swift walk from the city centre try a 35 minute hike!! its 3 train stops away from amsterdam centraal station.

The wash basin was a bit small in the room, the stairs are narrow but no problem beacause the hotel has the lift.

Elena Panteleeva Hotel Allure Amsterdam: 7 June 2011; 8.6; + Nous avons apprécié cet hôtel : chambres très propres, nous avions un petit balcon donnant vu sur l'arrière cour, hôtel rénové. Le petit déjeuner est petit mais agréable, rempli au fur et à mesure. L'emplacement est légèrement excentré du centre ville : il faut 20 min(à pied) pour atteindre le centre ville, 15 min pour la place Rembrandt. Notez que toute la ville se fait à pied.; - LE REZ DE CHAUSSEE !!!!! Au début de notre séjour, nous avions dormi au rez de chaussée(étage -1 en France ou se trouve en général le parking...) une fenêtre très petite donnant lieu sur LES PIEDS DES GENS !!!!!!!!!!! A ÉVITEZ ABSOLUMENT ! (d'autant plus que les autres chambres ont une grande fenêtre, et certaines ont même des balcons).
