Dutch Design Hotel Artemis Amsterdam is a contemporary and luxurious hotel on the western outskirts of Amsterdam. Schiphol Amsterdam Airport is easy to reach from the hotel, both by car and public transport. Guests can park their car in the underground carpark, at an additional fee. A bus and tram stop are close to the hotel and you can catch a subway from the stop Henk Sneevlietweg, which is only a 10 minute walk away, making the historic centre of Amsterdam easy to get to. As well as the beautiful canals, you will also find an abundance of shops, restaurants and museums here. At night the illuminated bridges provide this city with a romantic atmosphere.

A modern Dutch style and a hospitable service characterize the hotel. The special use of lighting, colours and the flexible lay-out of the rooms and spaces create an atmosphere where guests will feel at ease. All throughout the building one can find objects of Dutch designers such as Piet Hein Eek and Marcel Wanders. The hotel also houses three surprising exhibitions, which are changed every month. For the organisation of presentations or meetings there are several multifunctional rooms available. The hotel has eight floors with comfortable rooms, which are equipped with amenities such as air conditioning, coffee- and tea making facilities and a safe. Free wireless internet is available for guests. The use of the hotel's fitness facilities is also included during a stay.

Food and Drinks

From 06:30 to 10:30 h. guests can enjoy a breakfast in the hotel. During the weekend the breakfast is served from 07:00 to 11:00 h.
A perfect place to meet up is Restaurant-Bar De Stijl. In a stylish environment one can enjoy a light meal, which is prepared with Dutch ingredients. When the weather permits it is also possible to sit on the large outside terrace, which lies at a pond. The restaurant is open until 23:00h. After dinner one can visit the bar, which is open until 01:00 h. Snacks and drinks are served here. Hotel guests can also order room service 24 hours a day.

Brynjolfur Thorsson Disappointing stay in a 4 star hotel: 16 April 2011; 5.4; + Good breakfast; - Terrible room, got a smoking room, no info on that when booking. Sofabed one of the worst beds I have ever slept in. No picture on the TV, only sound. Drain in tub/shower superslow. shameful that a 4 star hotel offers such a room. All in all a very disappointing stay. Based on this experience I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Anonymous Nice and trendy but poor location if you want to be central...: 16 August 2010; 5.8; + NIce design and good comfortable beds; - The booking agent informed us that the hotel was close to the city centre, which it was not, there was absolutely nothing around the hotel to do, it was in an industrial zone! We cancelled our booking for the next night and found a much nicer hotel in the centre.

Kevin Le Loge High Confort: 18 January 2010; 6.8; + Excellent Room, the bed was amazingly confortable and large. The Hotel gets a fashion ("Design") style.; - The location. Very far from the Centrum. You may walk for a while to find public transports. Not very friendly receptionists.

Mercedeh Ghanbari No respect for privacy and bad service!: 23 November 2008; 5.6; + The space of the room and it LOOKING (but not being) classy.; - They always bothered me during my stay! The first time I stayed there, the cleaner opened the door in the morning without warning. Then we hung out the 'Do Not Disturb' sign and he STILL opened the door twice after that! Mind you that this is when we were checking at that morning at noon, so they shouldn't be coming until after we check out anyways. I complained about this to the front desk. The seccond time, they still opened the door twice in the morning while I was checking out that same morning. At the front desk they said they would write it down, but he didn't. Also, the bell boy (whoever it was) was talking real loud to me, being rude, asking where I live and why I was going to my destination when I asked him to call me a taxi. Very, very, very rude! This is highly unacceptable. Also, the bath was not clean, and bless the restaurant for trying to have innovative food, but healthy low calorie food is not on there, and neither are normal meals. Many of their meals are not tasty anymore due to too much trying to be innovative. I ate there twice and normally I love everything. But come on, beer in my food? This is another minus point. There won't be a third time of me staying there! Also, the tv has only Ned 1, 2 and 3. Nobody watches that. sbs, veronica, net 5 is what people watch. But if you want to watch anything besides what they offer you have to pay and the volume of the tv is too low in both rooms i stayed to be able to hear much. So the tv is useless. The computer chair is way too hard, the room is very cold in design. I can go on and on... The service is just really bad.

The system allowed me tobook this hotel at 11.00pm on sunday 13th from london. I put wrong date by mistake .Instead of 15th i put 14th departure.I was charged full amount for 2 rooms for no show for a mistake that i believe the system should not permitt, very dissapointed.

Belgian: 2 June 2008; 5.4; + - nice hotel. - rooms are pretty unique with wooden floors.; - - had to wait for +30min in queue to check out. - quality breakfast was average for this type of hotel.

Clean Most of personnel is helpful; - Although the room was comfortable I felt a bit like in the office. There is no that "homelike" athmosphere. Smoking in lobby. Location again - could be closer to center. Price a bit too high for that standard.

We got a discount on the standard room rate which made the cost of our 2 night stay very reasonable.; - A good half hour from the city centre and a long walk to the hotel from the nearest tram stop (particularly if carrying luggage!). In my opinion the standard room rates are overpriced, as is the breakfast which is not included in the room rate.

Anonymous: 8 January 2008; 7.6; + Staff were exceptionally gracious and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The room I had offered a fine view of the city (not all rooms do). Very welcoming. Older building that was in good repair and nicely renovated. Though a ways from central station, close to main attractions in Utrecht.; - Bed was uncomfortable; no adequate place to do desk work or chair with reading light for pleasure reading. Bathroom a bit small.

Anonymous Goed hotel met een lekker bed: 2 December 2011; 7.6; + aardige mensen, die je graag helpen. Lekker bed en een goede douche!; - ik had een glas laten vallen op de kamer en had dit netjes gemeld bij het personeel. Ik had verzocht of ze de kamer daarom goed konden schoonmaken ivm glasplinters. De kamers was idd schoongemaakt alleen met de franse slag. Verder hadden we een ontbijt op de kamer besteld maar het krentenbroodjes was hard er was geen boter en geen thee.

Natascha Modrow-Resch Modernes Hotel in ruhiger Lage: 5 June 2011; 8.2; + Das Hotel liegt zwar ein Stück von der Innenstadt entfernt, ist aber mit der Tram Linie 2 gut verbunden. Unser Zimmer war groß, sehr sauber und ruhig.; - Der einzige Minuspunkt waren die Badetücher, die waren sehr dünn und alt. Bei der Kategorie nicht o.k..

Anoniem: 9 May 2011; 6.4; + Mooi hygiënisch hotel; gezellig terras. Parking niet te duur ivm andere parkeergelegenheden in Amsterdam. Ligging ok: rustig buiten het centrum, maar anderzijds was het centrum wel heel eenvoudig te bereiken via de bus om de hoek van het hotel.; - Aan de receptie werd eerst teveel aangerekend voor onze kamer. Later bleek dat ze ook een verkeerde kamer gegeven hadden. We reserveerden een kamer met kingsize bed, maar ontvingen een kamer met twee aparte bedden. De man achter de receptie was overigens ook niet vriendelijk. Bij navraag aan de receptie werden de fouten wel onmiddellijk recht gezet. Alleen jammer dat we hierdoor heel wat tijd verloren hebben.

Tolles Hotel, teure Zusatzleistungen, Serviceschulung für das Persona: 30 April 2011; 6.6; + ruhige Lage sehr guter Zimmerservice sehr gute Ausstattung (um die Kritik zu relativieren: der Check-Out wurde von einem Trainee durchgeführt. Sehr zuvorkommend, sehr kompetent, perfektes Englisch und alle Regeln des Kundenservices beachtet, es geht also doch); - Parkhaus extrem teuer Frühstück extrem teuer Belegungswünsche (3 Zimmer auf einer Etage) wurden nicht erfüllt, obwohl mehrere Monate im Vorraus gebucht wurde. (ähnliches von anderen Gästen erfahren) Personal an Reception teilweise überfordert, bediente zeitweise 2 Kunden und 2 Telefone(!) gleichzeitig(!!!) 1. Regel des Kundenservices: der Gast kommt VOR dem Telefon

Rita Gijsemans Fijn hotel als je de service minpunten er bij kan nemen: 21 April 2011; 5.8; + kamer, ruimte, open sfeer en kunst/design elementen; - service, zelfs na 2 jaar blijft het 's avonds problematisch om in te checken, dingen te regelen, ... balie personeel is zwaar ondermaats tav andere hotels (met uitzondering van de dame 's ochtends) 's Ochtens bij het uitchecken ook teweinig personeel, te langzaam en veel te lange rijen wachtenden. Als je een kamer reserveert, betaald hebt en een bevestiging is het prettig dat deze er dan ook is als je toekomt. En niet dat je een half uur om middernacht ( na een slopende 4 uur durende autorit) moet negociëren om een kamer te bekomen.

Trudy Wecke-van Deelen Mooi strak, design hotel.: 14 February 2011; 7.6; + Een prachtig hotel, nette kamers. Mooi interieur, strak. Prijs, kwaliteit verhouding is prima.; - Helaas 6,6 km van het centrum. Fietsverhuur 15 euro per dag! Zou service van het hotel mogen zijn wat mij betreft.

Dhr. van Orsouw Prima keus voor zakelijk verblijf.: 24 January 2011; 8.2; + - Kamers zien er prima uit. Netjes verzorgd en voldoende ruimte, inclusief strijkset. - Bedden liggen erg comfortabel - Fitnessen kan 24 uur per dag; - - Vegetarische keuze avondeten was minimaal. Kreeg uiteindelijk Bloemkoolsoep voorgeschoteld waar achteraf sliertjes kip in bleek te zitten. Bediening leek over het algemeen weinig kennis te hebben van het eten. - De grote flatscreen TV had weinig Nederlandse zenders en is wat slordig ingedeeld.

M.A. De Graaf Tophotel voor een nachtje naar A'dam: 3 October 2010; 8.4; + Zeer fraai hotel, wij hebben hier zeer genoten en kunnen dit ook iedereen aanraden. Superrelaxed en heerlijk comfort. De extra grote bedden is ook een aanrader.; - Het ligt ver bij het centrum vandaan, maar in a'dam rijden genoeg bussen en taxi's.

M. Hagen: 27 September 2010; 7.4; + Relaxte sfeer. Mooie kamers. Heerlijk rustig.; - Geen klerenhangers in de kasten. Geen ned. 1,2 en 3 op de tv!!!! Een bende rondom de tafels bij het ontbijt. Tafels werden erg laat afgeruimd. Het bijvullen van de hagelslag had meer prioriteit. Midden op een ongezellig industrieterrein.

Elke Sehr zu empfehlendes 4*-Designhotel: 23 August 2010; 9.0; + sehr gepflegt, sehr sauber, sehr freundlich, Ticketangebot für Tram, empfehle jedoch, wer es eilig hat, den Bus 195 direkt hinter dem Hotel, zur Tram sind es max. 15 min zu laufen, es gibt 4 deutsche TV-Sender, wer unbedingt fernsehen muss. Ideale Verb. ins Zentrum alle 10 min. gleichzeitig eine hübsche Sightseeingtour Wer Designhotel bucht sollte kein Plüsch erwarten. Beste Erfahrungen und würden jeder Zeit wieder dieses Hotel wählen. Industriegebiet, wie an anderer Stelle reklamiert, stört überhaupt nicht, schöne Architektur. Wer die Hotelinfos liest, weiß was ihn erwartet. Schöner gepflegter Außenbereich. Angenehm war das leise Laufen des Personals (keine klappernde Absätze!) Personal sprach auch deutsch.; - Das Besteck im Restaurant ist sehr schwer und liegt schlecht in der Hand. Plastik (Eierbecher), Pfeffer, Salz, Zucker usw. möchte ich in einem 4 * - Hotel nicht in einer Papiertüte am Tisch haben, das ist das Einzige was wir beanstanden würden, denn das hat was von Jugendherberge.

Christiane Graham Zum emphehlen: 20 June 2010; 9.2; + Das Fruhstuck war phantastisch und ein gutes Preis-Service Verhaltnis. Das Design und die bequemen Betten waren gut. Leider waren wir nur fur eine kurze Nacht da und haben die Fahrradwege oder Stadt Amsterdam nicht besichtigen konnen.; - Der Abfluss im Bad konnte nicht geschlossen werden, um ein heisses Bad zu nehmen. Nach langem Reisen liebe ich ein Bad zu nehmen und nicht nur zu duschen. DIe Lage ist nicht so gut fur Leute, die gerne in der Altstadt bummeln.

Wilhelm ter Steege Goed hotel op de verkeerde plek voor een stedentrip.: 8 March 2010; 7.0; + Ontbijt was heerlijk, kamers schoon, lekkere douche.; - Ontbijt relatief duur € 14,-, ver van de stad, dure parkeergarage en een onvriendelijke receptioniste.

Von da aus ca.20min. bis zur Innenstadt (Amsterdam) Schönes Hotel; - Parkgebühren von 16,20€ / 24 h fanden wir sehr hoch. Aber die Parkgebühren in der Stadt waren auch nicht gerade günstig. Am ersten Tag als wir ankamen konnte der Mann an der Rezeption kein deutsch sprechen.

Emanuele Vallino Perfekt: 6 September 2009; 7.6; + Ein sehr ruhiges Hotel, ein wenig abseits von der Innenstadt, die aber perfekt mit dem Bus zu erreichen ist, der vor der Tür vom hotel alle Halbe Stunde Abfährt. Wer gut zu Fuss ist erreicht die Innenstadt auch in ner halben Stunde zu Fuss. Wer mit dem Auto anreisst kann kostengünstig in der Hoteleigenen Tiefgarage Parken.; - Es richt ein wenig muffig in den Zimmergängen.
