Anonymous Decent 3-star hotel: 15 October 2011; 7.6; + air-conditioning, location close to Vondel park, modern bathroom; - small room, foam matras, not sound-proof so other guests and passing lorries where very audible, coffee/tea not once replenished eventhough I stayed 5 days

Anonymous Small but clean.: 31 August 2011; 5.6; + The hotel is in a quiet residential location, on the edge of Vondelpark Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very new and clean. The bathroom appeared to be brand new and very clean.; - A long walk to get into the city. Rooms are tiny - if you have long legs the bathroom would be a big problem. Walls are very thin, hence you can hear everything above or next door.

Ryan Halyk Charming hotel near Vondelpark.: 17 July 2010; 8.2; + Clean and quiet. Always someone at front desk. Great location if you want a quiet hotel. Beautiful park nearby. Bed was comfortable. The room was a good size for Amsterdam, and the atached en suite was spacious and newly renovated.; - I requested directions when I booked online, but recieved no reply. I made a phone call, but only got the nearest train stop. The hotel is slightly off the main road, so we wandered around a bit on arrival. I also ran into another guest a few days later searching for the hotel.

Carma Peaceful, Clean, out of the way: 2 July 2010; 7.8; + It is in a pretty neighborhood just outside of the people's park, so it was nice and quiet. TV in room was very nice as were the beds and bathroom. The room was nice. They offer bike rentals at the hotel. And they offer snacks.; - Unfortunately the pretty and quiet neighborhood is so because it's so far away from everything. Even finding a grocery or snack shop took some doing. It would be helpful if on the website, there were directions as to how to get to the hotel from the train station. Because there weren't, we had to take the 3-4k walk (with packs on). It was a fairly unpleasant start. Also, they could use a better snack selection. When you've just had food poisoning, all you want is a cold soda and crackers or biscuits, not mars bars and kit-kats (but at least they even had soda pops).

Yi-ling Chuang Good stay: 25 June 2010; 7.6; + Good location, comfortable space, clean room.; - Breakfast is bad. The price is just too expensive. The room near to the street is noisy in the morning.

Anonymous Nice cheap hotel at the west end of Vonderlpark.: 7 June 2010; 9.4; + Great service, room had a nice TV, water boiler and own bathroom with shower and toilet. Fairly cheap.; - Room wasn't much bigger than the bed (we had to move it a little to open the large window) - but how much space do you really need?

Richard Park Great place to stay!: 6 June 2010; 9.0; + Rooms are modern and the location is really great. While it is not in the city center the neighborhood is quite charming and close to transportation and many restaurants.; - I imagine some people would think the rooms are too small but we didn't mind the size of them and found the room cozy and comfortable.

ksoltys: 5 June 2010; 9.8; + A very good hotel, with excellent price/quality ratio. You can rent a bike at the hotel (for 12 eu per day; you can find a bit cheaper bike rental points in the city, but renting a bike at the hotel is very convenient). The service was very friendly, the room was clean and quiet, with a nice view on a quiet street. The hotel is located very near to the beautiful Vondelpark. Free wi-fi and tea/coffee facilities were an additional asset.; - The breakfast is too expensive (10 euros). I didn't eat it, so I can't review its quality. Anyway, there is a cheap Italian catering 3 minutes walk from the hotel.

Anonymous Sauberes, empfehlenswertes Hotel: 24 January 2012; 7.8; + Die Zimmer waren schön und vorallem sehr sauber (was in Amsterdamer Hotels nicht unbedingt gängig ist)! Das Personal war freundlich und das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Lage.; - Es gibt nicht viel zu bemängeln, nur die Lage war leider ein wenig ausserhalb von der Innenstadt und dem Rotlichtviertel etc., allerdings gabs in unmittelbarer Nähe eine Tram!

Hier slaap ik volgende keer weer! Excellent hotel for the price we paid, surely we'll stay again!; - verwarming maakt vrij veel herrie, maar 5 minuutjes blazen voor t slapen gaan en dan uitzetten werkt ook prima.

Anoniem Goed geslapen bij het Vondelpark: 17 May 2011; 8.0; + 1 overnachting. Er is 24-uurs receptie. We konden dus laat inchecken. Voor de volledigheid 's middags nog even gebeld of het geen probleem was. Hotel ligt echt vlakbij Vondelpark. Je moet wel even weten waar. Vanuit centrum wel in uiterste punt, maar dan loop je 's morgens rustig vanuit het park de stad weer in. Prima te doen. We hebben in het centrum ontbeten, dus geen ontbijt in het hotel. Dit waren we al van plan.

Goede hygiene Comfortabel bed Wifi verbinding op de kamer; - Gebrek aan 'luie stoel'. Bureautafel veel te hoog (of stoel te laag), om goed met de laptop te kunnen werken. Koffie en thee op de kamer werd niet aangevuld.

julie Getting the wrong room can be fatal...!: 11 November 2010; 5.0; + good price, very calm and silent site, nice water heater with tea and coffee to make in the room, modern bathroom. except some hairs and crumbs clean; - the room (room no.1) was TINY, but we saw on the plan that there are bigger rooms. one of the windows was letting in the cold air throughout the whole night, the heating came out of something like an air condition, so after two days of cold air from outside and warm air blown out of the heating i head a horrible throat ache! hairs in the bathroom on the wall tiles, crumbs in bed under the sheet. broken dustbin in bathroom. long distance to centre.

Die Lage genau am Vondelpark ist ideal und auch die Umgebung ist nett - Amsterdam live ohne Massen an Touris und in 10 Min. ist man mit der Bahn auch im Zentrum; - gibt es keine

John Bateman Simply looking for a friendly hotel with THE most comfortable beds?: 6 August 2010; 9.0; + Super friendly reception staff. I arrived quite late which wasn't an issue at all and I felt very well looked after. The bed was great to sleep on and the pillows very comfortable. Although the room was relatively small it was more than enough for a simple business trip. There are a few nice restaurants nearby.; - If I had to make a comment on anything I would suggest that the staff at breakfast would try to be a little more in the background. It may be an idea for the staff to grab a coffee before or after the breakfast period as there isn't that much room in the breakfast room meaning that guests were waiting for the staff to get out of the way in order to have their own breakfast. It really doesn't detract from the whole stay though.

Alexander Tiny rooms but otherwise excellent!: 10 July 2010; 7.4; + The biggest plus of this hotel is the hygiene: The rooms are cleaned every day and the bathroom remains spotless. I've been to many very expensive hotels and i can tell that the central park hotel almost attains **** or even ***** level regarding hygiene. The staff is friendly, the rooms are comfy. For its three stars this hotel can be considered very good!; - The rooms are tiny. They are perfect to chill out and watch some tv after a long day of sightseeing but they're not good for working or anything that requires some space..

lw Budgethotel: 2 February 2010; 5.8; + Gratis ontbijt terwijl we dit niet geboekt hadden. Rustige buurt. Gerenoveerd hotel. Fijne douche. Schoon; - Geen kast in de kamer. Geen cv, dus snachts ijskoud. Erg klein 2pers bed. Sommig personeel sprak geen nl en stonk.
