- excellent choice
- Excellent rooms, very clean and very nice location!!! Also prices are reasonable
- That they move us to another room, but they move are things for us. We didn't know anything about it and some of our things were missing at the end. Hotel stuff was very polite and kind though.

- A pleasant stay in a clean hotel with friendly staff.
- Very kind and helpful staff. Clean and tidy hotel. Great peaceful location. Near all the sights. Lovely warm room. Extremely pleasant stay, would definately go back.
- Room 404 shower is across the hall. Only room like this so I would advise booking over phone and ask not to get this room. Shower/toilet room was small but did the job. Thin walls, but this is to be expected and had luckily extremely quiet neighbours.

- Great classy hotel. Loved every trip
- Staff very friendly. Rooms have good wallpapper for tripping and generally give it a nice feel.
The location is brilliant (ocated right near the best coffeeshop in amsterdam), the rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors are great, the thrid floor however is a bit more cramped
Next to tram tracks, was brilliant for our group.
Stayed with a group of 5 in a five person room and there was lots of space, and the three person rooms are good too. I would recommend this to anyone.
Good heating. Next to a beautiful canal and just a friendly place to stay. Very secure too. Kept our laptops and phones in the rooms and they were all untouched. Brilliant hotel.
- Toilet was very cramped. Our toilet seat was broken but was not a big deal. You get over having a small bathroom though. If you're a big guy like me and my brother then you might have to take some time adjusting to it.

- location
- When I booked my room, the website said the rooms had WiFi-internet connection. Upon arrival, there turned out to be no Internet. The hotel staff said that previously, guests used an unlocked wifi connection (from some neighbour, not their own!), but since this connection is locked with a password now, there's no internet.
I think it is wrong to advertise with a service you cannot offer your guests. I booked the room BECAUSE there was supposed to be an Internet connection, so I was quite disappointed.
Breakfast not worth the 9 euros.

- This hotel was great value for money in a great location.
- plus points are that the hotel was clean, nicely decorated and friendly staff who were helpful!
- only 2 minus points which were- rooms got a bit cold at night so extra blankets should be provided, also the 9euros for breakfast was shocking for what you got. should be either cheaper or with more options provided.

- well located & friendly place
- The staff are really friendly and helpful. It's very well located if you want to walk around the city without being in the middle of the 'tourist mass'. You can reach all main interesting sites on foot.
- Because of the canals, there were too many mosquitoes. The rooms could be sprayed before the guests arrive.

- Great hotel for the price!
- Nice neighborhood near lots of good restaurants. Trains and metro are nearby that go throughout the city and to the airport. The rooms are very clean and the entire hotel has a black, white, and grey modern decor. Good deal for the price. A colleague of mine paid the same price for a dump in the red light district and wished she could've stayed in my hotel instead. She was very impressed with the hotel as well.
- Room 404-My room had a separate bathroom and wasn't told this until I got there. It worked out OK though. The TV is mounted to the wall in such a way that you cannot see the picture unless you are standing in front of it. There's a 10 Euro deposit to get a remote for the TV.

- Cramped flee infested slightly smelly hotel
- The hotel is relatively close to most Amsterdam attractions.
- Our sheets were never changed eventhough we were there for 3 nights, there was a blood stain on them(before we got there). We took it off and left it outside. The ceiling in the room was covered in insects! Also there was a strange smell in the bathroom which was no bigger than a wardrobe! There was a cat roaming the halls which was there everyday. There is no lift just narrow winding stairs. Apart from that it's lovely!!!

- Would definitely come back!
- I loved having a resident cat - Puffy - around. The staff treated me to free coffee when I arrived so early and had travelled all night. That was very nice. They were always very helpful and treated me individually - asking me how the marathon went and that was very nicde.
- It was somewhat noisy at night with sounds from other people and sometimes people outside making noise. The walls are not very soundproof and you could hear TV and music.

- A Grand little hotel.
- The staff were great, a lovely bunch of people. The Area was ideal. I walked to most places and even walked to central station from the hotel. I had a room overlooking one of the canals and facing my window was the lovely hermitage centre. Maps were available and breakfast was worth the money. A tv was in the room. Clean towels each day.
- The room was very narrow and the bathroom was tight. The window did not open and I found it stuffy. No tea or coffee facility. The room, 103, was right over the main entrance and some noise.

- Good loaction, Cheap experience
- The location was great for everything to do in A'Dam. We really enjoyed being close too all the public transport and walking distance to many areas in the city that are lively.
- The hotel itself and rooms are very small and the attendants at the front desk are not interested at all in your stay - they were not rude, just aloof. We had a large double room, and the size wasn't too bad, but the quality of furnishings, etc, were awful. The bed was extremely hard, the linens very cheap and scratchy, so we spent most of our time (and money) out in the city and only came back for rest or sleep. The bathrooms have a bad smell, but were clean. We will definitely pay a bit more for a better hotel on our next trip to A'Dam. If you are young and don't care where you are sleeping, this might be the place for you. Older folks might want to spend the extra money and upgrade.

- Rubbish
- Staff were friendly and helpful with online check-in for the return flight, allowing us to use the printer and computer. Decent price of around 35 euros a night per person. We arrived earlier than the usual check in time and were allowed to store our bags downstairs until the room was available. Shower was hot.
- After booking well in advance of our trip we got room 501 which was on the fifth floor, and was absolutely tiny. The lower floor rooms may be a decent size, but room 501 was not acceptable for two adults, definitely only a single room.
The bathroom was about four feet by three feet and very uncomfortable to use, and after one shower the room stank.
The TV had only one channel and no way of changing the channels (not that we spent much time in the room).
We both are covered in bites from bedbugs/fleas after our stay and won't be staying there again.
Despite the price we would have been better off in a youth hostel.

- Good location, but too expensive with poor facilities
- Excellent location in quiet central spot, overlooking canal
- Cost - over 150 Euro per night for single (cramped) room on high floor with no lift, no air con, and without basics such as tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer etc - contrary to what advertised.
Lack of security - entry by key card, but no further lock inside room.
Poor hygiene - mosquitoes in room, cramped bathroom, bad smell from drains.
Thin walls, so can be very noisy depending on occupants of adjoining rooms

- Worst hotel stay ever experienced
- Nice location
- Bad smell in the bathroom, which is very narrow. The so-called double bed in the double room is very small (appr. 120 cm)and hardly provides sufficient space for 2 people
Room was very hot, lots of mosquitos - we got stiches on the whole body and hardly slept the whole night.
Bed sheet too small to cover whole of the mattress...
No elevator, narrow staircase.
No hairdryer.

- A little bit not quite right
- the wallpaper is lovely, the bed very comfortable: the large double room 201 has a rear view over gardens of about 30 flats to make james Stewart jealous.
- Slightly out on a limb, the hotel is slightly overpriced and little things are not yet quite right:broken towel-rail; miniscule shampoo that slips through soap dish (no soap);flat screen tv that doesn't adjust angle for watching from bed;no tea coffee facilities.Just all a little bit not quite right.
