The brand-new Hotel Larende (2010) lies within walking distance from the centre of Amsterdam and the lively district Jordaan. It's an excellent base from where to explore Amsterdam. The hotel is easily accessible with a tram stop in front of the hotel; from Central Station you can take tram line 13 and from Station Sloterdijk line 12. Both lines stop at the tram stop Elisabeth Wolfstraat which is 20m from the entrance.

The modern and pleasant hotel rooms have a bathroom with shower and toilet and some rooms even feature a Jacuzzi. The companion restaurant has been one of the most frequented restaurants in the area. It thanks it reputation to the tasty dishes, served in a beautiful setting.

Surroundings

From Hotel Larende in Amsterdam, the most famous museums of Amsterdam can be easily reached on foot. The magnificent Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk Museum and the Van Gogh Museum are on the square Museumplein. The Concertgebouw is there as well. The Anne Frank House and the church Westerkerk in the Jordaan are within walking distance. A short tram ride takes you to the Dam, with Madame Tussauds and the Royal Palace, the Leidseplein with its many bars and places of entertainment, the lively Rembrandt Square and the Hermitage, Artis Zoo and the many other places of interest that Amsterdam has to offer.

There are tram lines near the hotel and the transport is easy around the city.; - The rooms are quite small. The reception is located in the same place, where there is a restaurant. There is no place for staying out of the bedrooms. The breakfast is very economic.

William Withers It's worth it: 28 May 2011; 9.0; + Excellent service, everyone was nice and friendly and spoke english. When we arrived at 10 am we were exhausted from lack of sleep on the flight, but check-in starts at 2pm,, so the guy at the front desk rushed the cleaning lady to get our room done as soon as possible which was AWESOME, plus he gave us free coffee when we got there. The jacuzzi tub was WELL worth it, especially with jetlag. Good area, great location, excellent food, friendly service, and they have a private taxi designated for airport use! We will be using this hotel again the next time we go to Amsterdam.; - The porch was tiny, and being smokers, this made smoking outside a very complicated art-form, considering we had only enough room on the porch to open and close the door. The beds were also a little too firm for my taste. I didn't have a problem, but my girlfriend was in a world of hurt the whole time with jetlag and a hard bed.

Brad Riles Weekend fun in Amsterdam: 14 February 2011; 8.2; + Room and private bathroom was very clean and modern. Staff was friendly and helpful. Downtown was a 30 minute walk but there is a tram stop right out front.; - Only downside was the size of the room. It was pretty small for two men to share but I guess most hotels are that way in Amsterdam.

Das Zimmer ist sehr freundlich und modern eingerichtet. Der Tresor auf dem Zimmer.; - Keinen Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer. Keine Handtuchhacken im Badezimmer, für die nassen Handtücher.

Tram halte voor het hotel richting het centrum.; - Ontbijt was wel oké, maar had beter gekunt, qua brood was er alleen zachte bolletjes en verdroogde sneeën brood. Hotel lag wat verder van het centrum af.

Dit was gratis voor hotelgasten.; - het ontbijt was eenvoudig. dit is niet echt een minpunt maar toch nog een kritische noot; er was geen bruin brood meer. wij houden toch wel van een stevige bruine boterham, geen fabrieksbrood. misschien de gekookte eieren warm houden....... wij vonden de prijs iets te hoog voor de geboden luxe.
