+ price, location
- radiators were not functioning at all (freezing conditions in the room), mice in the room, all computers in the lobby were broken, very basic breakfast
Anonymous Cheap and accessible with pongy bathroom
4.2
+ location was good, near to public transport and amenities
- bathroom stank, bed was really uncomfortable
Anonymous Estancia en manofa
5.2
Anonymous Convenient location, but not comfortable
4.0
+ Hotel has a convenient location, close to Central Station and Dam Square. It is easy to transport to airport and other Dutch cities. It also makes easy to trip city center.
- Hotel has no elevator, not easy to carry your luggage !!! Rooms and bed is so small and not comfortable. To much noise from the street and also other guest makes hard to sleep !!!!
Hiroko Land Its safe, clean enough, friendly and accessible 4 budget people.
8.4
+ The people were very friendly. It was somewhat clean. If I was on budget like this time, I would stay there.
- The workers were friendly but not infomative about rooms getting cleand everyday, clean towels everyday.(should be proud of it) No printer with computer. Not enough plugs for all the phone and electronics. very (too) steap stairs! It could be so dangerous if I had big suitcase.

4.6
+ Close to the main station. Clean room.
- Steep and high stairs. Window was broken. I saw the same reviews about the window and apparently the hotel doesn't seem to mind having a broken window. Being a female on my own it felt very insecure The room has a weird smell!
Anonymous Great location and staff... that's all
3.8
+ Location was near the train station and the river as well as central Amsterdam. The staff were helpful and tried to accommodate us when we asked for a room change, but the rest of the rooms were in about the same condition.
- The room was tiny with 2 bed and a sink in the room... THAT IS ALL. This is more like a hostel than a hotel for the price of a hotel. The shower and toilet must be shared with the floor and for part of our stay the shower was not working. There are patch marks on the walls and it is VERY noisy at night. There is no elevator and the rooms have a severe lack of personal space.

4.4
+ It is in the centre of Amsterdam.
- Bathroom smelled faul and the rooms are pretty ugly looking. Breakfast was very poor and the restaurant was untidy.
Howard Silver A nice, pleasant stay.
9.8
+ Desk staff were terrific, fast and efficient.
- Key card often had to be re-energized. Shower did not have enough pressure.
Irina Goreva Horrible

- Mice in rooms!
Anonymous Budget Hotel
4.4
+ It's in the middle of everything, which is great!
- The hotel was realy low budget accomodation! Ideal if you only want a place to crash for the night, but I think it's very expensive for a room without a window you can open for fresh air! Oh, and we had another occupant... a mouse.
Jem Throgg Good enough at the price. Excellent Location.
7.4
+ Good reception. Could leave bags before checking in, and after checking out (not in secure storage, however). Good breakfast.
- Hotel was in a process of redecoration and possibly refurbishment. My room did not appear to be finished in this respect. Building work next door meant noise started early. Only single-glazed.
Anonymous It´s very poor but in the center
3.4
+ Good location.
- Very old, dated and not cheap. Noisy and small rooms.
Anthony Ferro Good hotel for the price
6.4
+ good location, breakfast included, private bath and shower.
- a bit rundown, you get what you pay for.

3.4
+ location
- it was dirty!! The sheets and the quilt cover were dirty! we covered the sheets with our clothes in order to be able to sleep! Ok! It is cheap, but that doesn't mean that we have to tolerate such situations..we didn't ask for luxury..just the basic things! and of course the picture of the rooms on the site have nothing to do with the real rooms!!
Anonymous The hotel is in really BAD shape. Too many mice wandering around...
3.8
+ I cannot think of something.
- I changed 4 rooms and on all 4 there were mice wandering around all night. Just awful.
Kate Great location & value for money! Go for it!
7.8
+ Saw a few negative reviews on this place so wasn't sure what to expect however I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Our room and bathroom were very clean We stayed for 2 nights and after the 1st night our beds were changed and we were given fresh towels. Location was brilliant for seeing all parts of Amsterdam and it's only a 5 minute walk away from the station. Walking distance of Red Light District, beautiful canals and also close to the Central Station to catch a tram to anywhere else. For the price this hotel was great!
- Damrak (the street the hotel is on) is not very pretty but we didn't have any trouble. I read that people are trying to make Damrak nicer so I wouldn't let it put you off.
Clifford Mapp Fantastic for Amsterdam on a budget
8.6
+ Great location, brilliant for the price, very close to everything
YUDI SISWANTO Budget price for central location
6.2
+ Okay price and very downtown (close to central station).
- The window lock was not working well, the room was a bit old and some staffs were not that helpful (especially the guys).
Tramontana Gianfranco POOR&OLD labirinth hotel - photos is not like the reality
6.8
+ Personal nice, location on the main street very close to the train station, tiolet clean, breakfast good enough... perfect, but...
- hotel is like a labirinth, dirty and caotic because it's in restoring - noises - very old and poor rooms and i know i'm in Amsterdam where all is little but toilet is so little! you can't move! clean but so little! - also the photos is absolutely not the reality...
Alessandro Bononi A good idea
8.6
+ very kind staff. they do their work at the best
- so much stairs, lol
Anonymous OK
5.6
+ Hotel is very central in town. Holds the middle between youthhostel and 1 star Hotel. Breakfast included.
- Cheap but you get what you pay for.
Michael Gordon Good, cheap, perfectly situated hotel
6.6
+ Righ in the middle of the Damrak, almost exactly across from the grasshopper. Free Breakfast. Decent sized rooms. We had the one balcony in the hotel above the Damrak and the view was fantastic. Good size balcony, room for more when all 5 of us were on. 2 minutes away from the Grasshopper and the begining of the Red light district. Coffeeshop and Tourist shop below the hotel. 5 minutes away from Centraal station. Can leave bags in hotel once checked out. Check out is at 11 so not too early. Friendly staff. Free internet. Beds were decent Balcony was great for when coming in at night and having a spliff before bed.
- Steep stairs Only 1 keycard per room of 5 people. Shower was only luke warm. Could do with a revamp but the longer its kept the way it is, the better as it will be cheaper :)

4.8
+ location
- very run down, depressing room with a long walk up treacharous stairs
Mark A great place to chill if it wasn't so hot.
5.4
+ Great central location, quite secure, no hidden extra's.
- Hottest week of the year and the heating was on in the hotel, and the staff, unable to do anything about it. WAY TO HOT. Just a thought. Save money, turn it off. apart from that it was fine.
Marcio Cardoso Fraud
2.6
+ The cleaning and the reception girls are friendly is the only good thing i can say.
- Where to begin? The Manofa is ugly, dirty, loud, third world kind of place. We booked a three bed clean room judging by the photos on the site, and we got a four bed room with no space, completely different from the photo. The photos on the site are simply not from Manofa. Even the taxi drivers knew the Manofa as a sleazy hotel.

3.4
+ Très bien situé près de la gare et du quartier rouge.
- Prix excessif par rapport à la chambre. Les lits et les locaux font très négligés. Les photos des chambres ne correspondaient pas du tout à la réalité.
John There were Rats in the Room, really!
3.2
+ The location is excellent. Unfortunately most of Dam square has been taken over by new foreign owners that have little regard for cleanliness or service. It was very overpriced at 200 Euro over the Queens Day weekend but I would say it's overpriced at anything more than 25 Euro/ night. Don't believe the pictures or the renovation, this property is a dump!!
- Well the biggest minus has to be the four legged critters visiting in the night. Go ahead and stay if you don't mind the rats....and don't ask for any accommodations on the bill. We were told (over and over) to forget it, the new owner doesn't make accommodations.
christophe Central location but dirty hotel room.
3.8
+ central location.
- Room MUST be re-furbished: wall paper& sealing full of stains, shower-head broken, shower tiles broken... The beds are completely worn out. The floor was not cleaned. The breakfast were very minimal and disappointing (only white bread, butter, jam & cheese).
ct It's worth the money for the stay
8.4
+ Convenient location. Room is clean.
- Shower head leaking and toilet lock spoilt
Mike Location, location, location ........

Thomas Bedworth Decent place
6.4
+ cheap and easy
- small room
Anonymous Mini-Hostel
5.4
+ Minutes from Amsterdam center and Central Station.
- Tiny rooms, tiny beds, steep stairs and a 3% surcharge payable on credit cards. More like staying in an expensive hostel that a hotel.
Stuart Muir Hotel from hell

Melinda Natividad Near train station
6.2
+ 1.The PM receptionist was professional and courteous 2. walking distance from the train station 3. Buffet breakfast
- 1.The AM receptionist was rude and unwelcoming. He should not be put in a front desk. 2.You have to carry your luggage through a long flight of stairs before getting to reception, then they might put you in 4th floor which is another 3 floors up. They have no lift. 3. The wall paper and paint are dirty.
Julie Our fist time in Amsterdam
6.2
+ The hotel was in an ideal location approx 5 mins from Central station and was just around the corner from Dam square. It had an en suite bathroom, was very clean. It was our first time in Amsterdam and we did enjoy the City we will be visiting again.
- The wardrobe door was off and put in a corner. The room badly needed decorating. With the hotel being in a good location it was quite noisy at four in the morning.
Bryan Mottram Superb hotel for catching some zzz'z while partying in Amsterdam
10
+ Stayed 5 to a room on a stag night, room was just big enough to put five beds in but if your just after somewhere to get your head down and grab a shower you can't ask for anything more...clean tidy comfy with ensuite bathroom and fun times of Amsterdam right outside the front door...brilliant, will be back no question.
- none really
stuart Dirty, messy, in desperate need of a refurb

+ Great location
- Dirty, messy, in desperate need of a refurb
D Mullan You get what you pay for!
8.0
+ Very reasonably priced hotel.
- Great location but poorly signed. You can only see the hotel signs from a distance and there is no sign at ground floor level at the front door. Also in tghe ensuite bathroom you have to walk through the wet floor of the shower to get to the toilet or sink.
