Hotel Old Quarter Amsterdam has a great central location, a 3-minute walk from the central railway station, in the historic district where in the 13th century the first houses were built in Amsterdam. The renovated hotel offers both luxurious rooms overlooking the canal and basic rooms.
Hotel Old Quarter is a nice hotel in Amsterdam, only a 3-minute walk from the Central Station. The hotel offers a choice between a luxury room with private bathroom, cable TV and a wonderful view over one of the oldest canals of Amsterdam, or basic, functional rooms with a shower and toilet in the corridor. On request, a radio alarm clock and luggage rack available.
The hotel lies on a unique historical place and does credit to its name Old Quarter. At the place where the hotel is located, the first houses were built in Amsterdam. What the area looked like before can be seen in the Historical Museum. The Old Church on the Oudekerksplein is the oldest existing building in Amsterdam. In recent years, many houses in the neighbourhood were renovated and so was Hotel Old Quarter. The former police station in the Warmoestraat is where a fictional famous Dutch police inspector solved his crimes. Cafe Heffer has many attributes to this inspector.
Hotel Old Quarter is a cosy Dutch hotel. The multilingual staff will do everything to make your stay as smooth as possible so you can look back later at a great time in Amsterdam. Whether you would like to book a tour or a cruise through the canals or want to rent a bike, they will help you on your way.

- Old-fashioned Dutch hospitality!
- In this small hotel the very friendly and helpfull staf gave a warm and welcoming reception and made us feel at home. They served reasonable priced traditional Dutch food and there was a great Jazz jam-session on Monday evening. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.
- The fact that smoking is allowed in the rooms, which causes pillows and blankets to smell after smoke.

- Excellent location, functional accommodation.
- Excellent location. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Bar. Smoker friendly. Great view over Damrak from rooms at the back (e.g. no. 21).
- Not luxurious. Blankets, bedclothes, towels etc. past their best. Bring your own soap, shampoo, etc. Not the hotel's fault, but construction noise from work on the underground was very intrusive.

- Poor breakfast, bed linen full of stains and holes, we had to pay E10 deposit for a remote control that was actually not working. Small drain in the corner of the floor was called 'Shower'. The room was very cold - heating didn't work.

- Ligging prima, kwaliteit minder
