+ Very close to Centraal Station, next door neighbor to Hunter's, which sell excellent bubblegum weed and awesome milkshakes. Nice bar with live music and usually smoking allowed on mondays.

- Included breakfast was shit poor. Rooms were nasty, stunk of weed, dirty. Angry owner. I asked him if he knew if kratom was safe to drink with alcohol, he looked and me and yelled "Kraut? Kroot? Krautem? KROOTEM? This aint a goddamn smartshop" Expensive for what it is.

+ Friendly service, good breakfast

- It is not fair to advertise the room as having a TV, and then to make a guest leave a deposit for the remote control. The TV was placed too high up to use the ordinary buttons. Perhaps the remote could be attached to the wall by a cord.

+ Cheap, clean & tidy. Excellent location. No complaints from me. Smoker friendly rooms, Coffeeshop right next door & red light district a 5 minute walk away. Perfect for the single traveller or group of guys.

- Hotel could do with a facelift as looking dated. Other than that a good budget hotel in an excellent location.

+ - Great value. 50 euro for a single in near-high season, room simple but spotless, shared bathroom and shower but they were next door and perfectly clean. Big windows and smoking in the rooms allowed. Couldn't be more central. Highly recommended for laid-back travellers.

- - Internet is only available in the common area (there's a nice pub and restaurant on the ground floor), while the hotel description says everywhere. No other negatives though.

+ Great loction, just a very short walk from the central train station. While not spotless, the rooms are reasonably cleam. Good restaurant. Excellent breakfast included (choices are limited, but they will let you substitute cheese for bacon). Staff was friendly. Good value for the price. We were concerned that the hotel might be right in the Red Light District, but it is actually a couple of blocks outside of the RLD. Because of great location, friendly staff, breakfast, and price, I would consider staying here again on my next trip to Amsterdam.

- Rooms are dated in appearance. Rooms vary in size, but our twin room was very small. Nothing separtates the toilet from the shower. The shower curtain covered the bathroom door and the toilet paper, but did not separate the shower from the nearby toilet. The arrangement looked funny, but it worked fine. You may smell marijuana smoke wafting throug the hallways, but after all, it is Amsterdam!

+ The location was perfect for the central station. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

- Room and bath were not cleaned in the five days and the bed was not made just covered to look made. Shower was open so entire bathroom got wet.

- The room we had had nothing to do with the one I saw during my booking. We're given a room organised as a corridor. 2 single beds in a raw. a 1,2 sq metre bathroom with waterclose included in it. the sink is in the corridor /in the room/!

+ Location, 5 mins from central and Red light district. Coffee shop right next door. Staff were friendly and were on hand when required.

- We realised this was a low budget hotel and that we should not expect a great room etc. We stayed in the quad room which was on the top floor. Beds were small and not very comfortable. Now the worst part - BED BUGS!!! We were constantly under attack during the night and after we did get to sleep, we woke up with bites and red marks. I've stayed in sum low budget hotels but this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. These bed bugs leave you on edge while trying to get to sleep and with the uncomfortable beds you don't really sleep. Also we had friends staying in other rooms - all with bed bugs! Carpets looked dirty AND after booking the hotel for 4 nights our Bed Sheets were not changed once!!! Breakfast was 2 eggs n scrappy bits of bacon served on a small side plates. We would never stay here again. Honestly bad rooms is one thing, but blood sucking bed bugs is another!

+ The restaurant was good especially for dinner. The same breakfast every day was a bit disappoionting. The staff were friendly.

- The rug in the room was very worn and dirty. The cupboard needed repair. For the price I would have liked a blow dryer. Also, a bathroom rug was not provided and that would have been an asset. We asked for more bath towels and they provided them but not face towels or hand towels were provided. We were disappointed that the room smelled very smokey and that was because they are not strict about the non-smoking policy. A light bulb burnt out and it was never replaced after we notified them. It took us a bit of time to get use to the street and all the various people on it as it is close to the red light district. Good central location though.

+ Location is a plus-but also can be incredibly Noisy all night long. People working there seemed to be nice.

- Tons of deferred maintenance needs to be done. Revolting smells in parts of the Hotel. Good hotel to leave your bags and that's about it. Totally unsatisfactory on almost every level. Would never, ever stay there again at any price.

- camp beds in our room, I got bitten about seven times by a hungry bed bug, but my other two mates in our triple room didn't, guess I chose the wrong bed!!!! It wouldn't put me off going again.

+ When clicking through your web sites, "Room rates" section, there isnt a word about breakfast, while "Restaurant" section mentions English breakfast for 7,5€. So I was expecting breakfast not to be part of the deal, and the nice surprise was that it was included. Maybe make it visible at "Room rates" site as well.

- Cosidering price/location ratio, I can ignore tiny negatives :-)

+ Good location, in terms of being in the centre of town... not so much good with the crowds of drunk people falling around outside the hotel and all along the road. better in the daytime! cat in the hotel restaurant!! 24 hour reception, friendly staff.

- The room was tiny, 2 single beds in front of one another, not side by side, noisy snoring neighbours (thin walls), breakfast greasy, bit smelly in general (smoking permitted in rooms and no windows in hallways... pictures on website do not show whole experience
