+ good place to see Amsterdam by walking or cycling. lots of restaurants arround and quite safe to walk late on your own. small amsterdam house feeling..

- small amsterdam house feeling... room cleaning has no priority. so dont be surprised.

+ The rookies was a great hotel, i wish i could have stayed there longer. I had a front room and to be honest to noise wasn't much of a deal and i managed to sleep easily. Having the rear balcony area was really nice to relax in also. Everything you need is close and the staff are friendly and helpful.

- My only minus was that the mattress i had was a bit shit.

+ if you want to party and you know for sure that you will be as high as it can gets, stay here ! otherwise, don't book this hotel.

- a lot of noise, people were smoking in their rooms which is dangerous for fires, quality of breakfast was very poor

+ We always have a great time when we stay at Rookies. The staff are very helpful and polite.

- One thing I would suggest is a coffee pot in the room. We would wake up about 5:30am and it's a long time to wait til 8am for a cup of coffee. A small fridge would be great too for drinks, snacks etc.

+ Fast internet, very clean, freindly staff

- Only one window opened, room way too hot, no electric scooter charge point, expensive for what you get compared to over 50 stays in Amsterdam hotels.

+ Decent quality of the room and breakfast, small and basic but clean.

- Very loud at night as it is right above a bar, so it's not a place for a comfortable sleep but more of a place if you are out late yourself.

+ The staff are very friendly and willing not only to give you tips on where to go and what to do, but were keen to chat about Amsterdam's culture and other interesting things. A very welcoming atmosphere. Of course, the coffeeshop downstairs has one of the best vibes in the city as well - the music is great. Close to live music venues as well.

- A little far away from the city centre, but this also means that you escape the ultra "touristy" places as well - a double edged sword. Plus, it's only 5 mins on the tram to the city centre anyway.

+ RIght in the middle of everything. Everything was easy walking distance. Hotel was comfy and clean. Last of the hotels you are allowed to smoke in. Dinner of all types as soon as you walk outside. Friendly staff!!

+ The hotel was cozy and had all the necessities, room size was good and the rooms were clean. Normally equiped average room if you want a lower budget stay. The location was very nice especially for young-minded people, since all the bars and restaurants are in close proximity. Service was excellent, the staff was very nice and funny people, they made our stay excellent.

- If you want to concentrate on sleeping, some voices from the street at night time might be heard. Also the room was a bit cold, although it was winter and the weather was probably colder than normally during our stay.

+ Personeel is vriendelijk

- Hygiene was belabberd, kleine kamer, douchen was bijna niet te doen, het water liep onder de deur door de kamer in,wij hadden kamer op de bovenste verdieping, was lopend bijna niet te doen.

+ Goede ligging aan een dwarsstraat van het Leidseplein. Ideeal voor een avond stappen. Vriendelijke mensen en inchecken tot 01.00 via de shop beneden. Kamer netjes en schoon, prima prijs/kwaliteit verhouding!

- Douche/toilet erg klein (1 meter breed, 1.90 hoog) en bedden niet meest luxueuze maar goed...wat wil je voor deze prijs, het is geen luxe-resort aan de Turkse Riviera.

+ De bediening is erg vriendelijk. De kamer is schoon. Alles wat aangegeven is, is ook aanwezig op de kamer. De douche-ruimte is klein, maar het werkt perfect.[goede waterstraal, lekker warm, perfecte ventilatie]

+ Liegt in einen netten, kulinarisch sehr ergiebigen Stadtteil! Nicht für ältere Personen da der Lärmpegel bis früh morgen eher hoch ist, aber uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.

- WC Hygenie eher mangelhaft!
