Very good choice for budget travellers

• + Very good price/quality. Nice breakfast and service. Room was clean.
• – If travelling as couple, take double bed instead of twin bed :)

• + Very nice furnitured hotel, good breakfast, clean.
• – whoo is looking for shopping and entertainment has to know that this hotel located in the quiet part of the city, far from the center.

• + The room was very nice and the bad mutch comfortable.
• – The room was very cold when we arraived and the bathroom fluor should have same carpet.
• * my tip The museam area in general is great as the madame tussaud, the café majestic is a ver nice place to eat and rest.

Bare bones for a premium price

• + They had a room. Everywhere else was fully booked
• – No creature comforts. Poor quality furnishings and furniture. Very cramped landing. Badly numbered rooms. Lift looked only partly installed.. Very noisy when windy.

Good value hotel close to Amstel Station

• + Good breakfast. Quiet.
• – Narrow bed

Simple and small but friendly and ideally located.

• + Not in the centre but very easy to get there via tram. Helpful receptionists. Breakfasts were nice. Room was simple but warm and had a balcony.
• – Room would have been nice if there had only been one bed in there. They'd stuffed a second one in there, which made it too cramped. I couldn''t open the wardrobe properly. Bed was very bouncy. No bathmat or rug so not pleasant to step out of the shower.
• * my tip Vlaams Frites chippy 3-4 minutes away - ideal evening snack.

Good place to stay on a budget, with breakfast.

Great value hotel near RAI exhibition centre

• + Great value for money. Good breakfast. Great location (10 minutes walk to RAI).
• – Renovation going on so hallways looked messy (but no noise issues). Wi-Fi was down on second day.

Prince

• + quick response to issue bothering the customer
• – extortionist tendencies in the hotel as they tried to take extra money from us due to the fact that we arrived early in the morning. Secondly, lift was under repairs 80 percent of the time of our stay there
• * my tip A good place to stay and near the tram stop

• + It was fine as a short stay and I am sure it will be better when the building work is finished.
• – It was going through a major building overhaul when I visited. However this did not excuse the lack of curtains on the windows, main light not working and TV reception poor.
• * my tip Wait till the building work is finished

For the next two months don't stay here!

• + The breakfast included with the room was great, for what we pay if you know what I mean, no scramble eggs. Public transport is close to the hotel which was a plus.
• – The Hotel it is small and it is going under construction which make it hard to stay on in it, some of the staff are rude to people but they will guide you to find the city centre, another issue is the parking around the Hotel
• * my tip for the next few months find another hotel with similiar price no elevator on this Hotel for now because of the construction

Lovely bike ride to city!

• + I enjoyed my stay here as it was quiet away from the bustle of a inner city stay. Breakfast was reasonable,and the staff very helpful. Biking it to city is a great time.
• – The renovations are the big negative and climbing up and down narrow steep stairs, glad they are installing a lift! A bit pricey for a single room!
• * my tip Ask the staff to carry up and down your bag if heavy.

Building site - not a hotel

• – Didn't inform us they are renovating the hotel which meant that 08:00 Saturday morning they started hammering on the walls. Staff were very un-accommodating about this and insisted that the builders were allowed to start at 09:00, something which was also not told to me when I made the booking.
• * my tip Ask if their renovations are still in progress before booking.

a reasonable place for seeing the real amsterdam

• + great breakfast, friendly staff and charming little house in four floors. it's not in the very central amsterdam, though the centrum is easily reachable by tram. on the other hand, that makes the place be not full of turists and sights but the real everyday amsterdam. also the hotel is not any luxus turist place with swimpool in your room and pancakes to bed every morning - but that wasn't exactly what i was looking for, so for me the experience was very pleasing.
• – during our stay they were having a renovation. though very charming and individual, the stairs were also a little difficult to pass especially with your luggage, but they are currently building an elevator.
• * my tip you should consider buying transport tickets for a longer time range. for example, even three drives a day makes the 24h ticket profitable. also notice that you can use the same ticket in trams, buses and metros but not in the train.

Big breakfasts, clean big modern rooms and quiet location.

• + Super friendly service, big room, very clean and huge tasty breakfast. Bike rental also very cheap. They were renovating while we were there but you couldn't hear a thing and the location is quiet, perfect for a good nights sleep.
• – A little far off the centre but with bikes absolutely no problem.
• * my tip Stay here if you are after a quiet nights and big breakfasts!

Highly recommended!

• + Gorgeous room and hotel- didn't want to leave! Great breakfast Excellent service Close to tram ( 5 mins from hotel) which takes you to the centre quickly Relatively close to Surinamese and Indonesian restaurants
• – Long narrow, winding staircase (on the upside the staff carries your luggage to your room and also brings it down when you check-out)- fortunately the hotel is planning on putting in an elevator Mirror in my room was broken (Dining) table in room was slightly worn

Couldn't have had better value for what we paid

• + This hotel is in a great location - very close to the trams that go all over the city. The city centre is particularly easy to get to. The staff are very helpful and there is plenty of information on things to see in the city. You can get tram tickets right at the front desk, as well as make reservations for other museums in the area.
• – There is no elevator, so getting your luggage up to your room will be a bit of a struggle, but nothing to worry about.
• * my tip If your room does not come with breakfast, there is a grocery store a minute away from the hotel.
