Nice stay at the Bilderberg Hotel Jan Luyken

The location is quiet, very close to the museum district, luxury shops, and public transportation. Staff were accommodating and the hotel was very clean.

Internet access is very expensive. The television was very small and outdated (not a flat screen). There was no dresser and not a lot of storage space.

Great hotel in a great neighborhood

This is a great hotel located in a quiet area of Amsterdam just blocks from the Van Gogh Museum and one block from the fashion center. Trams are just a few blocks away. The hotel had really incredible staff, very informative and helpful. The bathroom in our room was beautiful, beds comfortable. We liked it so much we returned to stay here again after our 10 day tour.

Reasonable value in a good central location

Good hotel that offers quality at a reasonable price. Great location; quiet and safe street; close to restaurants and upscale fashion shops.

The room was a little cold (but tolerable). No shelves in the shower for soap/shampoo. I don't understand why some hotels charge for internet access, when it costs them almost nothing.

Great service, great location. Small room but modern.

Fantastic service. The front desk, concierge, everyone was more than helpful and very friendly. Place was very clean, modern style. Located in the fashion district, great for shopping, close to the tram lines.

Rooms are very small, what you see in the pictures is the whole room, nothing more.

Execellent location, beautiful hotel, proffesional and helpful staff. will stay again. Minus points aren't a biggy, but just a slight niggle.

Room could have been slightly bigger and I felt cleaners came a bit early if I forgot to put the do not disturb signs out.

Staff was very friendly/helpful. Room was large, comfortable. Chocolates on pillow at night, turn down service. Very very good location--two blocks to museums. Charming building. Close to tram service.

Early check-in involved an upgrade to a larger room at 35-50 euros. Seemed to be a standard offer, happened each day we were there. Very expensive even without upgrade.

great location - quiet neighboorhood next to the Rijksmuseum and transportations. Leidseplein within walking distance. great breakfast buffet. everyone very kind.

the door's always closed, you have to ring the bell to enter - quick in the morning, it may be a little longer in the late night hours. breakfast price is a little high, but not that much higher than having breakfast in some bar outside. anyways, both of them, no big deals at all.

Very charming hotel in a wonderful location behind PC Hoofstraat and very close to Leidseplein and Rijksmuseum. Service was very professional and efficient. Rooms were very well furnished and comfortable.

Sraff - Very Helpful. Went out of their way to help with parking for disabled guests/ Warned us we would probably get towed(!) unless we visited a local counxil officw to figure it out! Great thing is they provided the free map with directions to the local office! OK - took an hour out of day, but at the possible cost of our spening money to pay for parking. Will definately stay with them again and would search for them above all others for a great stay in the world's top city. Thanks all........

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Checkin and checkout were easy. The location is perfect. Breakfast was very good. The beds were comfortable, and the curtains really blocked out the light, so it was easy to sleep.

The room was small for the price, but we know that Amsterdam is a very expensive city. It would be nice to have some hair conditioner along with the shampoo in the bathroom. Also, you should add a second bar of soap for the bathtub. At the price we paid, there should be two bars of soap.

This was a beautiful, clean room. We loved the apples everyday. We had plenty of room for three people in the bigger room you recommended. The hotel location was perfect for visiting the museums.

Although the quilt was lovely, it was a little too warm for this time of the year (September). We would have liked to have a sheet or lighter blanket on the bed.

The staff on the front desk were really friendly and helpful. The location for the hotel is perfect. The rooms were small, however they were perfectly clean and very well equipped. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family

The only minus point is that on the day we were checking out a member of staff knocked on our door before 9am and woke us up, yet we didn't need to check out until 12 noon.

Great location and the staff was very friendly and helpful in booking tickets and providing information. A small boutique hotel such as this is more comfortable to stay at than a very large hotel. Would highly recommend the Bilderberg to friends.

The hotel service would be improved if a light breakfast such as coffee, juice and croissant at a reasonable price was offered in the dining room. Many times we do not want a full breakfast.

They were helpful and knowledgeable on the local area. Smart area that felt safe to walk around and in amongst the very chic shops, Best for young people with money to burn.

Very expensive for what it was and there wasn't even breakfast included in the price. The spa refered to was infact a room. The room were very compact though well furnished and decorated. The biggest annoyance was that they tried to charge us for an upgrade we didn't ask for and then argued with us when we said we didn't want to pay for it. This was handled very badly. Some of our group didnt see this added cost so just paid anyway. Also tried to charge us for a breakfast we didnt have. Very poor value for money
