The sumptuous breakfast buffet is served here from 07:00 until 10:00 h. on week days and from 07:00 until 11:00 h. in the weekend. You can order a lunch or traditional pizza, accompanied by a real Italian foaming cappuccino, from 12:00 until 23:00 h.
The other restaurant, Ristorante Caruso, can only be reserved on request for groups.

The employees were always helpful and great. The location was awesome. We were able to get good help locating anything that we wanted. Our experience in the hotel made the trip to Amsterdam incredible. If we were to travel Amsterdam again we would stay at the NH Carlton.

Some things did not work in the hotel room. The safe, the do not disturb light. I was not offered to upgrade my room. My wife and I discovered that we had a superior room and for an additional 25Euro we could have had a deluxe. We found this out after we checked into our room.

Excellent location!

Even though we had only paid for a standard room, we were upgraded to the superior room which was fantastic. It was in the best location, room was warm, beds were clean and the receptionist Patrik was most helpful. We will definately be back to this hotel again.

The only minor problem is that we had booked a double room but paid extra for a third bed to be added, only to have the next day the hotel write me that it wasnt possible after i paid for the room. However this was sorted out within 24 hours thanks to the operator from hotels.nl that i dealt with!

The staff of the hotel is great, except for this old guy that I first saw after we checked out, maybe he is the manager or something, but the fact is that he was really stupid with us, I mean REALLY stupid, I don't know if he was in a bad mood or thinks he is very important, I really don't care. We had a small situation after our check out and he could have handled it much better. The fact is, take care with this man... that's the only reason I don't know for sure if I will go back to Jolly Carlton.

Fantastic and Comfortable Hotel with Excellent Service

I booked a twin standard room during my stay and since the hotel didn't have the room when I arrived, I stayed in a single standard the first night and they gave me a FREE upgrade to a twin superior for the rest of my 11 day stay. It was fantastic service. The room was outstanding.

Very good location, close to Catholic Church, shopping area. Desk staff were very helpful. Room was pleasant with wall ledges to put things onto. I found that very convenient.

On first night, everything was ok, except there was an ill smell in the toilet. After two days it was gone.

A Friendly and Welcoming Hotel.

The hotel staff were excellent as usual and the lady on reception provided us with the same room that we had on our last stay as we requested. I cannot commend them high enough. The central location of the hotel is great and the rooms are clean and well decorated although compact which is the norm for European City hotels. We will be returning to The Carlton yet again on our next visit.

The hotel itself is a little dated but this is not a complaint only a comment as our stay was as enjoyable as it is every time we visit. The only real minus point was that we had to leave and come home.

Jolly Carlton 4 star plus...No better stay in Amsterdam

This was our second stay at the Jolly Carlton. We thought we had a wonderful room last time but they far exceeded our expectations this time. We stayed in room 531 and it is on a front corner of the hotel overlooking the area where 6 streets come together. The view is wonderful and the location is better. We would leave every day heading in a different direction and then stop back by freshen up and go in another direction. We booked at Hotel.nl and booked best available room and they do give you the best room available. This way you lock in a price up front and it is lower than you would normally pay. It is great. There is a Alber Heijn market behind the hotel at the end of the flower market. A great place for picking up drinks and snacks. Housekeeping was wonderful and way more concerend with our stay and staying out of our way than us being in theirs. I can't say enough about the entire staff at this hotel. We have never had a problem here and we will be back and will only stay at this hotel.

NONE This place is 4 star for sure. I read one review where someone wrote that they do not have a gym therefor could not be 4 star... read the hotel info. It never says it has a gym. In Europe they walk, ride bikes and eat on the go. They don't need the gym.

very good situation in the centre of Amsterdam. Parking of hotel : just near the hotel. Very easy. Professionnal staff. Good service of the "doorkeeper". Breakfast of good qwality.

Staff does not speak nor French (but that is ok) but nor Nederland (?) - strange in Nerderland ! Room a little bit too small but with good equipment.
