Not far from the Lijnbaansgracht lies the beautiful Vondelpark in the quarter Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. In the park is a statue of Joost van den Vondel, the Vondelpark is named after this playwright and poet. If the weather is nice, you can sit here and enjoy this green oasis in the heart of Amsterdam. Sitting comfortably near the water, a little sunbathing on the grass or having a fun picnic with friends, you can do it all in the Vondelpark. In Summer, the park organises special evenings filled with theatre performances or open air concerts.
