Great Location: in Jordaan and just 10minutes walking distance from Damrak. Very very very helpful staff. Great cafe right downstairs.

Bathroom is small. The bathroom+kitchen area is a bit weird. There's no wash-basin to shave/ brush; you've got to use the one in the kitchen (and that's quite weird). Lock on the door is difficult to open and that can be a bit of a hassle.
*my tipLet the managers know when you are checking out, coz they don't live there. We had to leave on Sunday morning and woke up to find that there was no one there. Luckily we were not in a hurry; didn't have a train/ flight to catch. We called the manager and she was nice to rush to the hotel at once.

Very good neighbourhood, close to the central station, variety of bars and restaurants around as well as grocery stores. 10 minute walk to the central station and 15 mins to the tourist areas of Amsterdam.

The shower was a litte funny, water ran between hot and cold. The lock was a bit difficult to open but some patience did pay off.

Slightly odd layout of apartment, no sink in bathroom, meant my husband did not like shaving in the sink, shower a bit poor. Two double beds, so kids had to share, would be better with two ways of having a bed in the sitting room as this really is a family let with the layout, you have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom.
