Amazing location

• + FANTASTIC LOCATION, great price, friendly people, comfortable beds, and seriously the location alone makes it PERFECT!! Like three minutes away from central station, and right at the beginning of the Red Light District. PERFECT!
• – Steep winding stairs of course, only bad for people who are afraid of stairs or have difficulty with stairs, otherwise not at all a problem; pretty noisy 24/7, so not for a relaxing couples' trip.

• – Small cramped room.very basic.had to give in key every time we went out, which was a little uncomforting, but we always kept our most important stuff on us so we didnt really mind.got a bit of a rash from a horrible itchy blanket on the bed, so we just didnt use it and used the other ones on the bed.the breakfast was good for free but the only hot food was hard boiled eggs! no fry up or even toast.shared shower, but at least it was hot and clean.not much really, maybe not so good for older people or bigger families.steep stairs but thats everywhere u go in amsterdam.

• + If you are going to Amsterdam for a stag do or with a group of blokes for a crazy weekend then this hotel will suffice due to it's great central location effectively in the RLD. In almost any other circumstances however I suggest you look elsewhere.
• – Not all rooms have en-suite, location is perhaps too colourful for some guests, noisy, communal bathrooms and showers were horrible....

Location, location, location!!! (cuz the room is HORRIBLE)

• + Perfect location in the Red Light District! Only three minutes walking from Centraal Station (unless you take a wrong turn like we did the first day). The street is very lively, there are a lot of coffeshops and there's even a gay club (Cockring). It's perfect walking distance from ANYWHERE in the city! Even though the room was depressively horrid, the beds were actually very comfortable (yes, we're a couple and we got a tiny room with twin beds...)! Breakfast is served at the place next door (it definitely looks like a more comfortable hotel) and it's just fine: cereal, cold cuts, bread (not toast- BREAD), coffee, hot chocolate, cheese... The staff are friendly and helpful and we even had our room done every day.
• – Oh my GOD! The place was HORRIBLE! And I'm not talking "oh well, it's a bit tacky and out of date" horrible, I'm talking "kick me in the mouth and send me flying out the window cuz I don't wanna spend one more single second in here" horrible! The first thing you see when you're buzzed into the hotel is a narrow and vertiginous stairwell with about a 45% slope so I'd travel light if I were you cuz I wouldn't want to be hauling heavy suitcases up THAT! The bedroom is just awful and depressing, there's no more to it. The TV broke down on the second day and we could only see half the screen. The bathroom (shared with 2 or 3 other rooms) was ordered straight out of the little house of horrors catalogue and the shower (also shared) had no ventilation so I ended up coming out surrounded by a fog. I was unlucky enough to get sick two days before travelling to Amsterdam so I wasn't feeling very well the whole time there, and the bedroom was just so depressing that it made me feel even worse. I preferred to spend the whole day out on the streets with a whole toilet paper roll than staying in there resting. Needless to say, my boyfriend was oblivious to everything, hehe. Finally, the price was excessive! 265€/3 nights for THAT?!? No way will I pay that again. I might return to the hotel for a quick and cheap getaway... but 265€ is NOT cheap enough to get me back in there!

Excellent Budget hotel

• + Great Service, all staff very friendly, helpful and polite. Always keen to help us out if needed e.g. directions. Ideal location. Very relaxed hotel
• – Sharing a toilet and shower although this doesnt really bother me! No bar to meet other people staying at the hotel, again doesnt really bother me but would of been nice, however im sure there would of been if there was enough space.

• – The shower was OK (en suite), but the lavatory was down 2 levels, and therefore back 2 levels to the room, by very narrow stairs, no lift.

• + Hotel de Mallemoolen did the job, just. The rooms are adequate, beds comfortable enough. The hotel is located on Warmoestraat, 2 minutes away from a large number of coffee shops, which is perfect for those who spend most of their time there. Hotel is open 24 hours.
• – Cost, size of the rooms, awkwardness of entry into rooms (very narrow steep staircase), shared facilities (shower, toilet), TV reception, lack of any luxuries.

• + Absolutely excellent- a rock bottom price right at the start of Warmoestraat, so closest to the station, a bit quieter than lower down- and we were uprated so cable TV, ensuite, ground floor... BRILLIANT! Definately use them. Great desk folk too- humourous, helpful & knowledgable.

So im very dissapointed with the hotel stay and it ruined my days in amsterdam.

• + hotel bien situé près de la gare et des commerces. Draps et serviettes propres changés tous les jours. possibilité de garde bagage après avoir rendu les clés
• – on peut déplorer l'absence de lit double et, la vétustée des sommiers et matelas. L'installation électrique ne semble pas aux normes de sécurité .C'est aussi sans compter la taille minuscule de la chambre (n° 10) sous les toits et donc étoufante au moindre rayon de soleil ! Acces aux étages par un escalier raide et étroit.

• + Vriendelijke ontvangst. Propere kamer met douche en vrij rustig omdat we aan de achterzijde van het hotel sliepen. Alles ok verder gezien prijs/kwaliteit.
• – Zéér smalle, steile trap naar het 2de verd.! En voor de wc moest je terug naar het gelijkvloers. Povere isolatie: als de bewoners boven door hun kamer stapten, hoorde je wel elke voetstap en wat gekraak; 's nachts wordt een slechte slaper hier wel wakker van in een onbekende omgeving.

• + Cute hotel in the middle of night-life center of Amsterdam, not far away from red light district and the central station, that's way you shouldn't go to bed before 3 in the morning. Only basic accommodation, but superb breakfast.

• + voor dit geld is het helemaal top. simpel maar heel schoon. karakteristiek pand met geweldig leuke smalle trappen. fijn bed. raam kon fijn open in plaats van zo'n loeiende airco. ontbijt was simpel maar goed, een beetje zoals thuis. voor ons doel, een avondje stappen in amsterdam en niet naar huis toe gaan vanwege overmatig drankgebruik, helemaal prima.

• – We kregen een kamer waarop gerookt werd. Echter de ramen opengezet werd het weer een stuk frisser. Lakens waren lekker fris maar de sprei heb ik direct van het bed afgetrokken. Deze was erg vies. Ontbijt is eenvoudig maar voldoende.

• – in sommige hoeken van de kamers is het plavond laag,waardoor je soms deels moet bukken )als je lang bent.

• + Service personeel is zeer vriendelijk, erg fijn dat men 24 uur per dag aanwezig is. Goede veiligheidsregeling door dat je je kamer pas moet inleveren als je niet op je kamer bent. De kamers zagen er verder erg netjes uit. Complimenten aan het schoonmaakpersoneel.
• – elders moesten ontbijten en er eigenlijk geen gratis koffie is voor de hotelgasten. kon een kopje krijgen maar eigenlijk hoorde dat niet. Nadeel niet alle verlichting deed het (de lamp boven het bed.)

• – sehr enge+kleine zimmer, leute über 1.90 bekommen da grosse probleme. zimmer sollte auch UNTER dem Bett geputzt werden.... relativ teuer

• + Schoon toilet en douche, goed ontbijt.
• – Het loopt wat schuin af in de hotelkamer,waardoor je wat ongemakkelijk loopt.

• + super gezellig zo met z'n vijven, aardig personeel die aan de incheck balie zitten ook prima ligging lekker dicht bij het centrum
• – jammer dat douche en wc gedeeld zijn met andere kamers maar dit was van te voren ook al aangegeven, verder ook geen problemen mee gehad, wel jammer.

• + Het hotel ligt hartje amsterdam,de ligging is perfect,alles wat je nodig hebt ligt op loop afstand.klein,knus maar heeel gezellig
• – We misten een grote pas spiegel.

• + Je bent er alleen maar om te slapen en je zit mooi in het centrum, metro vlakbij
• – Kamers zijn klein en het plafond is wat laag als je naar boven gaat. Zou wel wat meer ventilatie in kunnen.

• + Sehr freundliches Personal, tolles Frühstücksbuffet!!!
• – Leider war es anderen Hotelgästen egal, dass die Toilette von mehreren Personen genutzt werden sollte. So war diese oft derartig verschmutzt, dass sie nicht mehr genutzt werden konnte.

• + - Kamer klein maar heeeel knus (kamer 10). Prima bed. - Uitstekende ligging - ontbijt eenvoudig maar prima
• – Geen eigen douche (maar dat weet je van tevoren) Geen plankje in de douche om je zeep/shampoo op te zetten = dus bukken.
