amsterdam who cares about the room!!

the room was warm at the ideal temperature all day.

the room was dirty. if you go there take your own sheets or your sleeping bag.we found combings at the sheets and no one change the sheets. the room was too small for 4 people but who cares?if you go there check your room before you pay because maybe they will give you different room from booking.. the hotel is NOT SMOKERS FRIENDLY. personaly i will not go there again..

no plus points!!!!!!!!!!!!! - when we arrived our room was given to another person! they gave us a cellar rooms in another building. after 2 nights of horror we aborted our stay in amsterdam. - very noisy!!! did you ever try to sleep only 3m from the tram??? - personally this was the most disappointing booking ever made in my long live as a traveller!

Very good location. Good breakfast though choice limited to toasties or toast!

Noisy street - needed earplugs! The shower did not drain very well so was standing in water all the time. Shower light was also very dark - maybe on purpose.

Location is excellent for that money. Its within walking distance of every important sight in town. I would recommend the hotel for everyone who wants to see best of Amsterdam, and use the hotel to spend a night in and have some breakfast in the morning. Also, there is free internet, and that's cool too.

No soap and shampoo in both of the rooms me and my friends stayed. The hotel could also use some redecorating, but I guess the price wouldn't be the same, so its fine like this :)

The location is perfect only a 2 minute walk from Leidse Plein. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very poor hygiene, yellow staind shower curtain next to the toilet, need to have shoes on because of the messy floors. We had a 4 person room and all of us got aking backs after 3 nights in the rock hard beds.

The location and price is great.

we had asked for a room with two beds. Got one with three beds with barely enough room to move. Decided to flip the extra bed up against the wall, only to discover a very dirty carpeting with cigarette butts and trash under this bed. It's nice to have a closet to hang clothes, but when no hangers are provided, very difficult. As the Hotel was fully booked, had to wait in line for availability of a breakfast table. As we were two, we we're even allowed to have two keys to the room.

Réserver 3 chambres doubles avec douche et WC, 2 chambres n'avaient pas de WC et douche ne fonctionnait pas. Autre chambre 4 lits, porte d'entrée presque impossible à ouvrir, pas de lumière, robinet du lavabo pas d'eau froide. Chambres sales, miettes de pain, tabac, fils électriques qui traînaient. Nous n'avons pas dormi dans l'hôtel, nous sommes parties ailleurs.

Hotel à proximité place Leidseplein. Restos, centre ville atteignable facilement pour les bons marcheurs, tram à proximité. Qualité correcte pour un 2 étoiles, sanitaires propres (chambre double avec WC et douche dans notre cas), quasiment pas de bruit entendu durant 1 semaine (chambre sur l'arrière dans notre cas, pas de vue). Réception 24/24. PC avec internet en accès libre à la réception (en panne 1 jour). Pas de regret car il n'y a pas eu de défaut rédhibitoire.

L'hotel connait visiblement du passage, ce qui laisse une certaine usure. Escaliers raides, peut poser un pb pour les gens chargés ou qui seraient en étage élevé (pas d'ascenceur). Papier toilette pas rechargé (pas grave mais ennuyeux). Petit déjeuner assez basique et sans ame (c'était prévisible). Mobilier limité et un peu cassé dans la chambre, pas de TV dans les chambres(pour les accros). Lit correct. Le rapport qualité/prix est moyen, car les hotels à Amsterdam sont plutôt chers, et j'aurai préféré soit payer moins cher, soit avoir mieux.

Location was very good.

I booked a 6 persons room for me and my friends to stay only one night. When we arrived to the hotel, the room was much more small than expected. The shower and the wc was outside and shared with another 4 rooms. In the door of the room there was an evacuation plan in case of fire. It was clearly indicated there that the room was for maximun three persons, but we were six. Of course I've yield into the reception, but they said that may was a "language" problem, because the owner of the hotel, who made the web page didn't speak english very well...very stupid explanation.

It wasn't raining inside the hotel other than that no plus points at all.

Upon arrival we had booked a room for 4 adults and we had the confirmation e-mail proving this but we were told that they only had a room for 3. The staff would not help us to find other accommodation and were talking to each other in Chinese for an hour while we had to stand at reception and try to guess what was going on with our booking in the end we had to take the room for 2 and 2 of our friends managed to get into another hotel also the room was only just big enough for me and my companion but was supposed to be a triple room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone ever as I have stayed in many hotels around the world and this one is abysmal for service and reliability and also customer relations

Prima voor één nacht, vooral na een concert in Melkweg of Paradiso

Héél vlakbij de Melkweg en Leidseplein, perfect. Daarnaast erg goedkoop.

Bij de boeking was ons een kamer met douche/toilet op de kamer beloofd. Dit was niet zo, we deelden de faciliteiten met vijf kamers. Door de trams onder het raam wel erg veel geluid `s nachts, maar dat is niet zo verwonderlijk zo dichtbij het Leidseplein.

Marnix hotel.. simpel maar goed genoeg voor de prijs!

Voor een nachtje in het hotel te overnachten was het echt prima! Het bed lag lekker en het toilet e.d waren schoon. Het inchecken was ook zo geregeld en je kon 24u per dag naar binnen

Eigenlijk niet, ook al wat het op straat wel lawaaiig, maar dat heb je in Amsterdam toch. Het is een heel simpel hotel. Dus als je iets nets of luxe zoekt, ben je daar aan het verkeerde adres ;)

Personal war freundlich.

Zimmer zu klein (eigentlich Zweibettzimmer), jetzt für vier Personen. Kein Schrank oder ähnliches vorhanden. Katze frei im Speiseraum. Katzen-Klo neben dem Frühstücksbuffett.Katzenhaare auf dem Tisch. Als weitere Überraschung Mäuse im Hotel. Schimmelflecken an der Decke. Fenster völlig verschmutzt und nicht zu befestigen. Hinterlassenschaften des Vormieters unter dem Bett.(Zigaretten und Müll)

zentrale Lage, gut zu erreichen von Amsterdam Central, nette und zuvorkommende Service-Leute, saubere Bettwaesche und Sanitaeranlagen, am Abreisetag Fruehstueck sogar um 5.45 moeglich. Meinen (jugendlichen) Kindern hat es wegen des "Klimas" (trotz der Maus!) gut gefallen.

Maus im Zimmer!!! Nachts hat sie am Knaeckebrot im Koffer (laut und lustvoll!) geknabbert; Toilettentuer im Flur geht laut auf und zu, undichte Fenster daempfen kaum den Strassenlaerm, Etagebetten im Vierbettzimmer.

für Amsterdam güstig - Qualität lässt aber sehr zu wünschen übrig!!! Freies Internet im Hotel vorhanden, um sich nach Alternativen um zuschauen.

Keine Schränke im Zimmer; Zimmer und Bettzeug roch sehr stark nach Rauch (obwohl Nichtraucherzimmer); Mäuse im Zimmer und deren Kot im Bett - nur läppische Reaktion an der Rezeption: "Dass sei so in alten Häusern und man soll kein Essen herumliegen lassen"(wie ohne Schrank???), schlecht Englisch Kenntnisse an der Rezeption, zu kleiner Frühstücksraum, laute und schlecht Schall isolierte Zimmer. Kreditkartenzahlung kostet hohen Aufschlag – NIE WIEDER(und wir sind nicht zimperlich)!!!

Die Lage. Keine Kakerlaken im Zimmer.

Schimmel im Bad. Belüftung im Bad funktionierte nicht. Kein Schrank, nur ein Stuhl, nur vier Haken. Keine Haken für Handtücher. Laut Plan an der Wand ein Zimmer für höchstens drei Personen, wir haben es als Vierbettzimmer bekommen. Viel zu eng. Zerrissene Handtücher. Vielleicht schreibe ich noch ans Ordnungsamt.

Seeehr laute Nachbarn, die inmitten der Nacht vor ihren und unserem Zimmer laut sangen und johlten.. Wir konnten nicht schlafen!
