Our room was situated just behind reception, as breakfast was also served in this area we found it a bit noisy first thing in the morning. The bathroom did not have much privacy - wooden slatted swing doors were all that seperated the main room from the bathroom - good thng we all knew each other quite well! There was also not much room in the reception in order to eat breakfast, we ended up going to the excellent cafe two doors down one morning due to a lack of seating in the hotel.

Not sure if we were given a standby room. Staircase was steep and no lift access to the rooms on the side allotted to us.
