Hotel Mozart is an attractive 3 star hotel on one of the most central and picturesque streets of Amsterdam: the Prinsengracht. Hotel Mozart was renovated in 2006 and features 47 rooms, some of which have a romantic view of the canals; others have a view of the historic buildings on the street side. This central location brings you right to what makes Amsterdam such a unique city: its many canals, bridges, and historic mansions and warehouses. The hotel staff is there to assist you with any of your wishes and they can help you to book an excursion or canal cruise, or provide you with tourist information. In the morning, the hotel will serve a breakfast buffet in the breakfast area, and guests who have a laptop can use the wireless internet connection anywhere in the hotel.

What will probably please the hotel's guests most is its central location. Essential places such as the floating flower market and the Vondelpark public garden can be reached on foot. A relaxing stroll will bring you to the Museumplein, where you can spend hours enjoying the famous works of Rembrandt in the Rijksmuseum, the modern art in the Stedelijk Museum, and the largest collection of one of the most valued Dutch painters in the Van Gogh Museum. Lovers of arts and culture can find everything to their heart's content at the nearby Leidseplein, the location of several stages for popular music such as the Melkweg and Paradiso, as well as the municipal theatre Stadsschouwburg. Hotel Mozart is also the perfect base for guests that prefer to go shopping or to go on a canal cruise.

  • (Travelling alone)
Excellent location, no laundry, worse breakfast.
  • + Location is excellent! There are hundred pubs, coffeshops and stores around.
  • Breakfast - very poor, much better to have it in some nearest cafeteria. There is no laundry! Very slow internet via WiFi.
  • * my tip Frozz - best frozen youghurt I have in my life - 4 minute by walk.

Great location good budget hotel.
  • + Perfect location in clean quiet area very close to most attractions,Tram stops and streets full of places to get food from all over the world. Very good coffee shops 100 yards up the street. For a budget hotel this was very clean and warm.
  • Rooms are abit small (Some rooms are very small about 12 inchs all around the bed ) All beds are single or 2 singles put together for a double. If you intend to do anything other than sleep this may be a problem as they pull apart letting you fall though the gap,but would be perfect for a married couple :)
  • * my tip Turn left out of hotel 100 yards up road are 2 great coffee shops then another 50 yards turn left and you are in the main food area with 100s of restaurants and bars. This part of town is very safe and a great place to be day or night. Be carefull if going to red light district at night a female may feel very uncomtable as did my wife.

Small rooms, barely basics, great location.
  • + Great location. I got a cheap deal for our room for two nites so wouldnt have stayed here otherwise. It's cheap and not so cheerful. The rooms are small and would not recommend the breakfast.
  • Very basic!!! Rooms are very small!!!

  • (Families with young children)
Adequate, small, cheap, well-located
  • + Great location: walkable to everywhere
  • Some noise, small rooms--but that's what you ought to expect from a small, economy class hotel
  • * my tip Be realistic about what you can expect at this price in Amsterdam

Over Priced Hostel
  • + The location is great
  • The price you pay is not worth it at all for what you get. DO NOT stay in the basement it is unacceptable to call this a hotel. This is coming from the perspective of a hostel traveller, who has traveller through out asian, europe and the americas. Not worth it at all. Booked this place as a last resort there was no availability in the city. The second night we spent on the 4th floor in a canal room this was more acceptable but still in terms of price for what you get still not a good deal
  • * my tip If you have to stay here do not stay in the basement!!!!!!

Stay at this hotel only if you have no luggage and come only to sleep.
  • + good location
  • single rooms are shoe-box size, absolutely no room for luggage or personal belongings. Very few rooms have a canal view.

You Get What You Pay For
  • + Cheap, great location.
  • You can hear constant flushing of toilets all around you throughout the night. The walls are razor thin too and you can hear conversations everywhere. The staff was quite rude.
  • * my tip Try to get a room on a higher floor so you won't hear your neighbors flushing the toilet all night.

Great find- good hotel at fantastic location.
  • + Fantastic location, you can reach the entire city center on foot or by tram. Received a fantastic rate in busy holiday period. Room was basic but perfect - clean, and everything you need works and is in good shape. Will definitely come back.
  • None. This is not the Grand, but you get what you pay for and this hotel offers great value.
  • * my tip Avoid the coffeeshops - Amsterdam has so much more to offer!

Honestly not amaized from the hotel.
  • + Hotel's staff took money in advance before arriving. When we arrived they asked us to pay again and on top of all they did a mistake. We paid 15% more the second time. Then when we noticed they took money twice, we had a long discussion about that and we were told that this was a small mistake! How fair ... The last day they cancelled one of the payments and gave us the correct amount of money. Rooms are way too small ... there is no place for luggage or clothes or whatever. ( I do not know if they have to follow any standarts, but they seem not to)!
  • Furniture was broken and we were locked outside the room for an hour as the locker broke. People smoke weed in the hotel as it smells awful even in the rooms. Not the cleanest hotel - saw the staff picking up napkins from the floor and putting them on the table for breakfast. Seems we were not the only one who wanted to speak to the manager, because I saw a gentleman arguing with the staff and asking for the manager. Hope hotel's staff will take note from this feedback.

Very unlikely to return, unless they could show more flexibility
  • + LOCATION
  • Elevator not working. We were on 4th floor and were not offered assistance with bags. Elevator only worked for a short while during whole stay. Coffe was included breakfast. I wanted another coffee at breakfast 4 minutes past 10. I was asked to pay for the coffee as breakfast was till 10.00

  • (Travelling alone)
If your looking for a good nights sleep don't stay here.
  • + Clean bathrooms, and good pillows
  • The reception was not very friendly, seem like I was interrupting her TV time. Wasn't very helpfull either, when asked about canal tours all I got was a grunt and she pointed towards the brochures. Don't pay extra for the lousy breakfast , there are much better places to eat around the corner and for less money. Beware as well that if you go to bed early you will be awaken by loud drunk kids returning from the bars at 4am.

Budget accommodation in a good location
  • + The price was fair, providing that accommodation in the city is really expensive. Good location and friendly staff (although they are not experienced). I liked the cute painting in my room and the free wi-fi.
  • The towels and the sheets are a bit old, but they are clean.

Great location, small rooms but comfy beds.
  • + This hotel is in a great location for bars and restaurants. There is also a beautiful park nearby for a quiet stroll. The local trams are clean, efficient and frequent. The beds are comfy and there is free wifi.
  • The rooms can be small and stuffy, unless you pay extra for a room with a canal view. The lighting is very dim. Although this hotel includes a continental breakfast I would have liked a toaster.

Great location shame about the hotel
  • + Great location & having a canal view was absolutely superb.
  • For the price I expected to get a fairly good breakfast but the same poor food every morning, not even a yoghurt. Having to eat in the reception area on crowded closley packed tables doesn't help either. The decor was very shabby

  • (Travelling alone)
Great location for a pleasant stay and sightseeng
  • + Great location, friendly and helpful stuff, taxi to the airport organized by hotel, breakfast included.
  • No shuttle or taxi from airport to hotel, no shelfs and very small wardrobe, no cover on the toilet: towels placed above fall down.

Bad and small
  • + nothing,
  • very small room, when you look out of the window you look down in a dark shaft. You cound't place your trunk, and the bed was 1,20 m wide. No place at all. We didn't use the room and ask for a refound of two days out of three. we got nothing.

An holiday on Mozart's notes!
  • + The staff is very kind. The position is wonderful. Rooms canal view are very nice.
  • The first room we got was at the -1 floor and was little, dirty and quite smelling, but the staff has been very nice changing our room the second day, with a 20 € days difference for a canal view room. For breakfast there is nothing sweet to eat, for Italian and French tourist there shouldbe croissant or muffin or biscuits!!!

Not worth the low price
  • + Very near the city center and I got the room for a good price.
  • The heat and air in the room was so bad that I can say with out a doubt that it was the worsed night of my life and I'm sorry to say that I will never book a room there again. Also I had to park my car outside the city as there was no parking for the hotel, only a very expensive parking garage at the next corner.

  • (Young couples)
  • + Location, Room with a nice view on the Prinsengracht canal
  • No double beds, a big drawback, although I precised that when I made the reservation. Really expensive (but hotels in Amsterdam are quite expensive).
6.4
  • (Young couples)
  • + Very good location.
  • The twin room that I requested was in fact a small room with a double bed in the corner against the wall with no possibility to separate the beds. The price of the room varied too widely on a supply/ demand basis rising to €185 when the ash cloud closed schipol. Rather too out for themselves.

Grim
  • + Doesn't smell mouldy. Better than the Hotel Max which is really disgustingly grim. Location. Free wi-fi.
  • Pulling the credit card scam of making you use their exchange rate. 1950s decor (old, yellowing etc). Very narrow single beds that they laughingly describe as Twins. Small rooms. Thin walls.

Beetje jammer
  • + The beds were nice, very soft. Breakfast was simple, but fine. Good location to explore Amsterdam.
  • No view, defective lights in room and bathroom, the bar of the shower curtain fell down, generally small and uncomfortable space. Too expensive overall.

Nice budget hotel in good location
  • + For the location and price of this hotel we would recommend it to others. It's a small, clean hotel with all the facilities you need for a city trip and is close to the tram lines and some great restaurants!
  • A plus for some maybe but we found the hotel very warm! But at least we could rectify this by turning off the heating and opening the windows which you can't do in other hotels! It also has the potential to be very noisy so bring earplugs!
