NL-Hotel District Leidseplein Amsterdam is a modern hotel situated on the Nassaukade, on a very central location, close to the Leidseplein. The hotel is distinguished by its atmospheric interior, a unique design by renowned Dutch designer Edward van Vliet. He has personally effected the hotel's design, and guided the design's execution in minute detail. The colours and decorations that are used establish a unique and agreeable ambience. However, the hotel is not only gorgeously decorated: the friendly hotel staff will also make sure that your stay in the city is as pleasant as possible.

Like the rest of the hotel, the rooms are all furnished comfortably and with a modern design. The rooms combine a serene Zen like atmosphere with a typically Dutch touch. NL-Hotel District Leidseplein Amsterdam is situated in the centre of Amsterdam, close to the Leidseplein and within a short distance from the Vondelpark, the Museumplein and the trendy Jordaan neighbourhood. Around the hotel you will find many famous museums, art galleries, restaurants and cafés. The hotel is also close to famous shopping streets like the P.C. Hooftstraat and the Van Baerlestraat.

In the morning hotel guests can enjoy a breakfast buffet in the hotel. This breakfast is served from 07:15 to 11:00 h. For an extensive meal there are many restaurants in the area, particularly on the nearby Leidseplein.

  • + The staff were all very helpful, with all the different questions I asked.
  • – The bed is too soft, and there is no blanket (only a duvet). Also, you can hear other guests in the rooms next door. Worst, the bathtub does not have any shower curtain or glass door; this created a semi-flood each time I showered. Moreover, the plumbing makes a grinding noise as long as the water is turned on, whether from the shower or the sink.
