+ Clean bed. Bathroom ok. Location.

- ABSOLUTELY not worth of your money. For EUR 74.50 I got room with NO TOILET and NO SHOWER. Biggest problem was that reservation print-out said I would have a shower in the room. It did not say anything about the toilet, but you would assume it naturally be there in nowadays, right? Or if not, to mention the lack of it. And be prepared to have a sliding door in the wall to the neighbour room. Yes, sliding door, not the wall. When I upgraded the room with toilet/shower, it costed EUR154. Ha, and with all I mentioned as a plus, walls were dirty, curtain partialy sweeped off, window practically could not be opened with curtains closed. Breakfast - bad (untasty). Is this a normal Amsterdam these days? Well, hope not. This definately was not a European normal middle standard. ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH of your EUR154. Look for something else.

- the window was defect and so it was very cold during the night. ! ask for a room in the 1.,2. or 3. floor ! the first night we had to sleep in the cellar.

+ Good location (near Museum Plein), 10 min on foot to Dam Square, 25 min-to Centraal Station, friendly staff, quite budget price for Amsterdam, not various, but enough nutritious breakfast.

- Unhoovered carpeting in the room, 1 key for 2 persons, no change of bedsheets and pillowcase during 8 nights, lack of TV remote controller (but we didn't claim because we didn't watch TV). Really tiny room-just for 2 beds, nothing more: about 4 or 5 square meters.

+ The only positive fact is that it is in a very good position, but I wouldn't suggest anybody to go there for holidays!!! Before the reception there are discount vochers for shops and museums.

- Very small room, very noisy because it is in front of the street, very bad breakfast. We always had breakfast outside. Girls at the reception aren't nice and they didn't have informations about museums opening time, about streets' names, about nothing!!!

+ A nice relaxed bar at the end of the street. Right next to the Heineken Brewery and a 10 minute walk to Leidesplein with lots of restaurants and cheap bars.

- We had to walk down the road from the Vivaldi to our room as we were placed in their sister hotel. That meant that we had to walk back to the Vvialdi every morning to get our breakfast in the morning. The hotel is a good 20-25 minute walk to the centre of Amsterdam. The breakfast room is small and on some days there was no seating and you were not allowed to take breakfast out of the room so we had to stand up and eat.

+ Good value for the price. Fine location close to museums. Pleasant staff at reception during night shift. English language skills could be improved in staff on day shift.

- Hotel Paginini seems to be one of a number in the same street connected as businesses. Reception and was in a building down the street, so was reception. It is a minus point that the rooms in the Hotel Pagaini were not connected by telephone to the receptionist, nor to any outside line.

- We asked to move to the hotel next door where the reception is, since the hotel Paganini is more a hostel than a real hotel and the room we got was really tiny and basic!! For the price we paid the second room was ok, very small though, but clean and bed was comfy!

- Don't get the room on the bottom floor in the front! It's loud at night... Rather small room, but it's inexpensive by Amsterdam standards, definitely worth the rate.

+ The central location allowed me to do nearly everything inside Amsterdam on foot. The owners were polite and friendly.

- The bathroom stank of sewers, the room was blind (no outside window) and the corridoors outside the rooms were incredibly dirty...

- Check-in time should be at 10 rather than 12 as arrival from London, leaves you with a big gap. The dinning area is very small so that meant that we had to queue at busy times.

+ Staff were helpful and breakfast was fine, could help yourself to as much as you want and didnt finish until 11.30. Was located next to the Heineken Experience and a tram line so was easy to get to the centre, nice pub on the corner too. Was odd though that you had to check in/out in another hotel (Vivaldi)a couple doors down and sleep in the Pagaini, but no real problem.

- Corridors were smelly and rooms weren't that clean. Toilet could have done with a good scrub! Bed was comfy though. There's no lift and if your room is on 5th floor, its a bit of a climb!

+ It was a good bed the breakfast was good the hotel had a good atmosphere

- There was dust on the floor and because the room was small, we could have used a little closet for our clothes. We needed a shelf next to the place where you wash hands to put our stuff, and there were no place to hang the handchieves so they could dry. It would have been nice to get some fresh air into the room.

+ Staff generally very helpful, but deserve better conditions to work in. Not the most expensive hotel in town, but some minor changes would make a big difference.

- 501 allocated - unacceptable.No space, no window, too small for 2 people. 316 no clothes hanging space.Not enough drawer space. Nowhere to put cases. Could have been cleaner. Dismal staircase. One day breakfast items "ran out" ?? shouldnt occur. Cutlery/crockery ran out. No lobby space. Waited for door opening if staff elsewhere - insufficient staff. Garden a mess !Breakfast room too small for the number of guests.

+ The new portion of the hotel, which was where my room was, was very clean and nice, though small.

- Although the hotel promoted that wireless internet was available, it was not - even when they suggested I attempt to use it in the lobby. I was only able to connect intermittently, which was not sufficient for my work... This was one of the primary reasons I booked this hotel and was supremely disappointed. Also, the King size bed was promoted incorrectly. I had a 2m x 2.5m room, which was very small and certainly couldn't host a King size bed. The lift was also out of order.

- No ventilation in room - temp in room was 35 degrees! Stained carpet. Tiny room - 1 foot bigger than the bed. Wi-Fi did not reach the room, so e-mails impossible. No wardrobe for clothes - only a hook on the wall with wire coat hangers.

+ Location is good. Breakfast is good. Quiet neighborhood. Easy access to public transport.

- Cleaning crew comes in without knocking the door. That happened 3 times in 2 days. Plus they gave the keycard of the room to new customers before we checked out. The rooms are extremely small and no gardrobe. They put new towels everyday but did not take the old ones away.
