Anonymous Decent price-quality ratio
8.6
+ I've stayed in many different hotels in Amsterdam over the years. Piet Hein is good value for the money. Nothing fancy. Decent hygiene. Friendly staff. OK breakfast. Good location.
Anonymous Goed, schoon hotel
8.2
Anonymous Beautiful and Romantic
8.0
+ Exellent location and a very beautiful hotel. Alltough our room was on the -1 floor, it was very nice and romantic.
- No air condition and not possible to open the windows.
F. Carty-Melis Enjoyed my stay and will return on my next visit to Amsterdam
9.8
+ Friendly welcome. Excellent breakfest, ( not the coffee! ) Really enjoyed my stay, hope to return dispite the coffee.
- missed the bell to ring for help with suitcase up the front stairs
Anonymous Worth It!

+ affordable price for a nice and modern hotel, private shower and toilet always good, shower was great!
- room bit small than what i'm used to in american hotels, even for just one person.
Stewart Cherry Excellent Stay
8.4
+ My girlfriend and I have avery enjoyable stay at the Piet Hein Hotel in Amsterdamn during the last weekend in Janauary this year. Initally we were choose the hotel due to its excellent location but we were also extremely impressed with the service, breakfast and comfort as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. i think its an excellent choice for couples or a group of friends looking for a great and affordable hotel during a weekend stay in the city.
- It would be harsh to be too critical however the only two points I could make are: the bathroom was surprisingly quite cold and instead of a doubel bed that we requested we got two singles put together (but that happens at most hotels so no real grounds to complain about that). Over all a great stay in a great hotel.

8.2
+ Very convenient location. The room was nice and clean.
- Included breakfast would have been nice.
Anonymous Nice and comfortable in a good location
9.2
+ It is a comfortable hotel in a very good location. Easy to get around with public transport and walking distance to the art museums. Staff is very helpful and friendly, it is clean, nicely decorated and breakfast is good and plenty. I would come back.
- It is small but to be expected in an original Amsterdam house. (space is used efficiently tho). The only real minus point for me was the mattress; it was awfully soft.
Roy Suddaby A taste of Scandinavian design in the heart of cultural Amsterdam
9.8
+ Service was outstanding as was the decor/design and location.
- Weather (I know you have no control over this)!
David Piepers Comfortable, not elegant
7.8
+ location is good, spacious bathrooms and friendly staff
- shower is average, one of the matresses in my room was absolutely stuffed. luckily they put me in a twin.
Maria Flatow "Great location, well kept rooms and very friendly staff to assist you"
8.8
+ I really enjoyed the warmth of the staff. I was very impressed by the talk dutch girl (sorry not sure of her name). She was very nice to deal with and helpful. Would definetly stay there again.
Christian Zellner Good location
9.2
+ Staff was outstanding
Anonymous Geat location with a high degree of comfort
9.2
+ Before arriving correspondance regarding getting to the hotel was prompt and helpful. The location was perfect, close enough to the city to be able to walk everywhere but also on the adge of a peaceful park. The service was of a very high standard and the abitity to leave luggage greatly useful. The room was clean and the bed very comportable. Medical advise from the night staff was also most appreciated.
- Breakfast was expensive with an additional suppliment for room service.
Romain Simple but nice.
6.4
+ Not very expensive, nice location, calm.
- Room on the ground floor, not very well decorated.
Henk Steunenberg
7.8

Christina Boumpouka Too high a price for its quality, otherwise ok

Breck A Craig International Consultant
9.2
+ Professional and friendly staff, clean scandinavian style rooms, good location next to a beautiful park and central location to everything.
- Mattress was worn out. Should be replaced
Tzveta Ivanova Good hotel for weekend break
8.6
+ The hotel has a good location within the museum and shopping district of Amsterdam. The staff was very helpfull and accommodating ~ the reception girl lent her own umbrella to me as they have run out of hotel ones.
- The room was a little on the small side, we could fit our 2 suitcases and be able to walk around+ no room for toateleries make up in the bathroom.
Ellen Konig Excellent hotel in great location
9.2
+ Fantastic location right in the Vondelpark and only steps from museums and shops. The hotel's interior is very stylish and cozy, with comfortable and beautiful rooms. The hotel bar is a lovely place to relax and meet with friends. Service is very helpful and friendly. Guests have free access to the internet and the hotel has printing facilities. Staff helps with booking museum tickets to avoid the queues.
- Can't really think of much. The bathroom ventilation system seems to draw in smoke from smoking areas outside the hotel (as the hotel itself is non-smoking), which is a bit unpleasant. Switching off the room A/C caused the room temperature to drop steeply overnight, while leaving it on means some noise. We didn't try the breakfast as it was not included in the rate.
Maria Fernandez Perfect for a romantic stay
7.8
+ It is a nicely situated hotel with a serene room decoration, which offers a pleasant neutral atmosphere for everyone's taste. The very high ceilings and long windows with the beautiful view over the park (I stayed on 3rd floor) with its long dark heavy curtains give a romantic touch to the room. Nicely aired, fresh and clean room and bathroom, a comfortable bed. The lift was barely heard from my room which was a definite plus point. In summary, a good traditional Amsterdam hotel, which puts you in the same mode as the city, you'll feel like you belong.
- Only the size which actually is part of Amsterdam and can be quite cute. I could say that the double room was a bit too small for two people, with one of the bed sides against the wall and a tiny bathroom with hardly any space to put down toiletries. As I stayed by myself it was perfect, and so it would be for a fresh couple, I'm sure. If planning to stay with a friend then I'd suggest you request a double room with twin beds for more comfort.
Anonymous Charming hotel close to Vondel Park
7.8
+ Small and cosy hotel, clean and with a great location, 2 minutes walking from downtown and from Van Gogh museum.
- Room a bit too small, fine for a week end but no longer.
benoit Debbaut Een goede keuze.

9.8
+ It was great location if one wanted to visit the museums and wanted to be a quieter section of the city. The hotel was clean and quiet and it was nice being near the Vondelpark. I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends if they visit Amsterdam.
Ron Pante Piet Hein - Excellent Hotel: great location and nice place!

+ Very clean, excellent staff, loved the free internet/laptops in the lobby
Claire McTague Great location + staff, but off-site parking expensive
1.2
+ Very friendly staff, especially Martin behind the bar. Great location, tasteful furnishings and Christmas decorations
- 1. It was very cold weather outside during our stay, and it felt quite cold in our room at times. 2. No on-site parking - the nearest car park is very expensive
Agnieszka Kulinska Nice hotel close to the centre
8.8
+ Location, nice lobby
- Walls could be re-painted, the room looked a little shabby.
Andre White Nice Hotel in Museum Area
8.2
+ The price of a two night stay in a single room wasn't too bad. Location is good as it is near Rijksmuseum and Van Goh Museum as well as Vondelpark, Casino and Leidsensplein area. Modern-style lobby area was appealing.
- Single room was a bit small - not ideal for a stay of more than a couple of nights. Breakfast was not included in the room price.
Riel Gloriani Samoy Almost excellent except no free Wifi even at the lobby
7.6
+ Great Staff. Fast Service.
- No free Wifi even at the lobby. There are some business emails that needs to be checked and the customer need to pay extra for it. I think this is the only thing that lacks in this Hotel.
Anonymous Great Value, Good Location.
8.4
+ Nice location by the Vondelpark on the edge of the centre of the city. Professional, friendly staff. Clean and seemingly well maintained facilities. Bar/lounge open late.
- Drab decorations in the rooms don't match the reception area facade.
Aaron Nice hotel, good location. Small rooms only drawback.
8.2
+ Hotel is in a good location near to the lively Leidesplein area. Trams take you to Dam Square etc in only a few minutes. We stayed in October when it was very cold outside but the hotel was lovely and warm. The general areas (reception/bar/dining) were very modern. The staff were helpful and friendly.
- Room was very small. We stayed for 4 nights. The only aspect of our double room that was suitable for 2 people was the fact there were 2 beds. However, there was only room for storing one suitcase and the wardrobe was only large enough for 1 persons clothes. No air-con may be an issue in summer but wasn't for us in October. All in all we would stay here again but would try and get a larger room.
Carlos Marcucci Good choice
8.0
+ Very clean, well located ,good for business
- Very small room (single) about 2X4 meters
Telepjanova, Marta Great small hotel - would come again
8.6
+ Excellent customer service from the staff, very helpfull and friendly.
- I have nothing to compliant about - great little hotel
Rob Karnisky A quiet retreat near all the amenities
9.6
+ Friendly, helpful staff. Free Internet in lobby. Great location away from noise but near the major museums, Vondelpark, and tram connections.
Andreas Nice and cosy hotel
6.8
+ very nice and uncomplicated staff / stylish interior / cosy atmosphere / free internet in the lobby
- breakfast wasn't included, elevator looks trashy (in comparison to rest of the hotel;)we would like to recommend that towels are only renewed when signaled by the guest by placing them on the floor, instead of everyday (this would be more economic)!
William Mitchell Very impressed!!
10
+ Excellent. Very good value and great location. My room was spotless, modern and very comfortable, not like many run down places in Amsterdam. I was genuinely very impressed. Bathrooms were excellent. The overall hotel was of an equally high satndard. Would certainly recommend staying here. Before arriving my room requests were also met with no fuss - very good!
- The room could have been bigger (as always) though was by no means small. A single room with Desk, chair, wardrobe, bathroom - was ample.
Baumannova Petra
10
+ I was very satisfied during the stay in Piet Hein. The hotel staff were very friendly and always ready to help. Thank you for nice time, which I had there. My pleasure to come again. Petra Baumannova
David Brukman Good value & location, helpful staff; small rooms.
8.8
+ Good value, excellent location; very helpful staff. Free wireless (Wifi) Internet. Close to several museums.
- Small room, no bag holder. No AC: rmally, open window provides fresh air but can be noisy, closed window = stuffy and hot. Free Internet often slow.

7.8
