Description

Located in a picturesque street, the Radisson Blu Hotel is a peaceful haven in the vibrant city centre of Amsterdam. The hotel lends itself beautifully for visits to the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum or the Hermitage, although the hotel portrays a visual experience on its own. The hotel is housed in 18th and 19th Century buildings, but all of the rooms are equipped up to present day standards and are fashionably decorated.

The 248 rooms are divided into three themes: Naturally Cool, Scandinavian and Maritime. The available business class rooms provide extra comfort and space. During your stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel the use of the fitness room, sauna and solarium is free of charge. Between 06:00 and 23:00 h. these facilities are at your service. The hotel offers eight meeting rooms, that are situated on the ground floor and the fifth floor. Guests that arrive with a boat, can moor at the hotel's private jetty.

Food and Drinks

The hotel has two restaurants: Restaurant Talavera and Restaurant De Palmboom, both housed in premises dating back to 1742. A breakfast buffet is served in both restaurants. From Monday to Friday between 06:30 and 10:30 and on Saturday and Sunday between 06:30 and 11:30. The modern kitchen offers dishes with an international twist as well as dishes varying per month. Restaurant De Palmboom is also open for lunch and dinner from 12:00 until 22:30, as well as serving breakfast. Restaurant Talavera is used for private dining. Situated in the atrium of the hotel is where you´ll find the Pastorie Bar. Here you can enjoy a classic old Dutch atmosphere offering you a wide selection of beers, wines, light meals and snacks.

Surroundings

Situated in the historic centre of Amsterdam, the Radisson Blu hotel is very close to Amsterdam central station. By train you have a fast connection with Schiphol Amsterdam Airport (20 kilometres) and the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre (4 kilometres). The Dam square, the royal palace, and the Hermitage are within walking distance. The famous Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum and the flower market are easy to reach as well.
