Westcord City Centre Amsterdam is a trendy hotel right in the middle of Amsterdam. Out of the 106 rooms in the hotel 86 have been renovated and upgraded to trendy deluxe rooms. On top of the regular facilities these rooms offer air conditioning, a flat screen television and free broadband Internet. The deluxe rooms are equipped with a spacious bathroom including 'rain shower'.

Standard rooms are equipped with a private bathroom (with shower or bath). All of the rooms have a phone, trouser press, coffee and tea making facilities, safe, desk (and chair), hair dryer and television. The modern furnishings of the rooms combine comfort with a pleasant atmosphere.

Due to the excellent location, the centre is always within grasp. Around the corner you will find the Dam square, from where a lovely stroll will take you to the Rembrandtplein. Numerous museums, such as the Stedelijk Museum, Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are very easy to reach as well. The sparkling Leidseplein with its many restaurants and bars can be reached easily by public transport. Within 5 minutes you can walk to Amsterdam Central Station, where fast and frequent connections towards the rest of the city can be found.

In Piazza d'Oro breakfast is served between 07:00 and 10:30 h on weekdays and 07:30 to 11:00 h in the weekend. The narrow streets in the centre are enriched with restaurants serving dishes from all over the world. An abundance of bistros ensure culinary delight in every price class.

Anonymous: 13 January 2012; 7.6; + -good price/quality with my offer at least (69 euro/night for single). rooms are small as is always the case given the location, but nice and decorated with a bit of style. Small but good bathroom with great shower. You do notice the difference with similarly-centrally located hotels where you pay 40 euro, this has a good feel to it. free wireless.; - -the glass bathroom door was actually a nice touch in the single, but I can see how it could be a problem for couples or friends sharing a room...

Anonymous Great location, quirky rooms. Ask to see the room first.: 1 November 2011; 6.8; + Location excellent. Reasonable price for a capital city. Friendly staff. Quirky hotel but would recommend.; - We ordered a double room and the bed we had was 2 single mattresses pushed together. I kept falling into the gap between the mattresses which although funny at first, didn't give me a great night's sleep. The hinge on the shower head in the bathroom was broken/very loose and didn't stand up - also the shower tray is not very deep and therefore water spills out onto the bathroom floor.

Paula Murphy Perfect City Hotel: 7 June 2011; 8.8; + The staff were very friendly & helpful. We were moved to stay in another hotel the first night, but it worked out perfectly as they provided a taxi to get us there & it meant we were closer to another part of the city to explore. Perfect! The next day we moved back to the Westcord & they upgraded us as they said it was their fault for being overbooked. Very efficient service.

The house keeper was always spot on, the reception was EXTREMELY helpful, smiles every time we came in and out of the Hotel.; - the room was a little small, but it was to be expected in AMS. the media entertainment could be better set up on the tv. bathroom doesn't have much privacy because of the glass doors; men won't mind, but the women might. i loved it, but again, i'm a man. :)

Nida Good location, fair last-minute rate: 22 May 2010; 6.2; + Close to the train station, and the downtown area. Many good restaurants, museums, and other entertainment establishments nearby. View of titties across the street, from the back rooms! Yay!; - Room smelled like poo, but that may be because of work going on in the street outside. A large person would be uncomfortable in the room, as it was very small and cramped. The glass door on the bathroom might bother some people, as might the view of titties.

James Moore Ok, not great: 1 February 2010; 8.0; + Convenient location, walking to distance to many attractions, and if you want to go further afield, tram stops outside hotel, and Centraal Station about 5 - 10 mins walk.; - Rooms are pretty small. Double bed pretty short, I'm 5ft10 and slept with my feet touching the wall at the end of the bed. Bathroom is part of the bedroom, seperated by glass....fine when travelling on my own, but not a good thing if travelling with friends. Not much room to sit on the toilet as bathroom quite cramped.

I would prefer top of the bed close to the wall and table at the end of the bed !

caroline stirling Three friends on holiday: 14 October 2009; 6.8; + Chambermaid done an excellent job of cleaning the room.; - Glass toilet and shower cubicle is very invasive. Pillows on the bed are too small and are more like cushions. No ice buckets and if anything is required for in the room and you call reception, then you then need to collect it yourself anyway. No smoking rooms and no where outside the hotel for smokers either other than standing right outside the main entrance which does not look good.

Gabriella Tidy rooms in the hot spot at fair price - we recommend: 24 August 2009; 9.8; + Good service staff, cleanness. Tasty breakfast. The glass-walled bath is a good choice for a small room like that. I was afraid getting a room faceing the street but the window perfectly locked the noise out.; - To make save-ups of cleaning the towels you should build up a plus towel-rail to the bath wall - there is enough place for it. And also for the bath: the lighting at the front of the mirror is rather poor to have a shave or do a make-up properly.

Anonymous A lovely hotel in general with some quirky features.: 13 April 2009; 9.6; + A really lovely hotel to stay in and right in the middle of Amsterdam. Set back from the Damrak it is much quieter and is well away from the hustle and bustle.; - The room was a little on the small side but i guess it would have been pretty good size for Amsterdam . The design and layout of the room was odd to say the least and we didn't much appreciate the glass walled bathroom but each to their own.

cpl: 5 April 2009; 9.4; + Excellent location for transportation, just 5 min. to Centraal Station-Red Light-Damsquare, tram stop in front of the hotel. In the middle of the best coffee shops (Anyday is just behind the hotel, Grey Area is close, Dampkring is 10 minutes by foot) in the city. Tea-coffee making in the room. Not very small room like many others. They let us check in at 10:30 AM !!!; - If you look for a completely silent room you better book back side rooms. But in A'dam we never care about it. The house-keeping was ok, but the furnishing in the standart room was old, same is the carpet. They charge you extra 2.5 EU for the safety lock which we could not understand...
