- Good for the price you pay, but you can find better
- A pretty good location, quite near the centre, comfy beds, a tv with around 40 chanels and a DVD player, pretty clean, friendly service. Good price for what you get. I payed 98 eur for 2 nights (and split it in half with a friend) so only 24 eur per night for a twin room each
- I'm a young student, so not the richest guy in the world, and I had to leave an unexpected 50 eur deposit (which I got back when I checked out), which is quite a lot of money for me and they didn't mension anything about that on the website.
Also the room was non smoking which was a shame because it's Amsterdam if you know what I mean :p
Another big minus is that the hotel is kinda far away from all the popular bars and clubs of the city.

- Great Location, fresh and clean.
- Location wonderful. Overlooking the Herengracht canal on one side and the Singel on the other. Less than 5 min walk from Dam Square but no hurdy gurdy commercialism around. Peaceful. Noticed other reviewers comment on street noise at night - negligible. Just a few merry revellers passing by on their way home. Simple ordinary hotel behind a beautiful facade. Clean fresh bright room - we had a quad. Perfect base for sightseeing. service overall good. We have 2 children with serious nut allergies and staff went out of their way to check cereals and found ones that were safe.
- my only negative was with hotels.nl site. when booking room we were unable to specify that 2 of the occupants of our room were under 12 yrs old. The hotel specify that such kids are free when sharing room with 2 adults, but because we booked a quad room thru hotels.nl we had to pay full price. Hotel says if we'd booked thru their own website we could have got reduction

- A really fab location - just a stroll from the action but quiet location. Staff were really helpful and friendly. My room on my second visit was huge and had a great canal-side location.
- Some rooms are quite small, but adequate.

- Good place to stay for a short visit to Amsterdam
- Location was walking distance to all tourist attractions. Very close to the red light district but without the chaos. It was right on a canal. Room was facing the inner court, but it was well sun lit.
- Very thin walls, you could hear and could be heard. Had to wait until 4pm to check in. When we wanted to check out the printer wasn't working so we couldn't get the invoice that we really needed.

- Not up to scratch
- The foyer was nice and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpfull in giving us directions.
- The tv had bad reception. There was no mini bar or fridge in the room. There wasn't even basic tea and coffee options in the room. The shower temperature was not costant and went from scolding hot to freezing cold over and over again. For a 3 star hotel and a room that was on discount from 160 euros I expected a lot more. I recently stayed in a 5 star hotel for 90 euros a night and the gormet breakfast was included. It had a mini bar and a massive bathroom with a separate shower and bath. Considering your room was originally priced around the 160 category I was expecting at least a mini bar and a working tv and shower.

- Great value, no problems with place.
- Just around the corner from the Dam square, short walk from train station, very professional service, bar, welcoming lobby... Nothing wrong with this place. Double room was €185 for 3 nights
- Arrived early and couldn't check in... problem as we were tired from travelling all night. Also, taxi very expensive - not the hotel's fault of course, just a warning. €45 to airport, €15 from Red Light District (despite being only several blocks away)

- When i arrived at the hotel my room wasn't ready and i had to wait an hour(despite the fact that the check in service started an hour before).

- The room was quite big and spacious, which was good because there were 4 of us sharing. We didn't feel cramped in and we were happy to all hang out in our room together. The staff were really nice and helpful, and even let us into our room a few hours before check in time, which was really convienient.
- The room service menu left alot to be desired, and was quite expensive. the breakfast seemed overpriced aswell so we didn't have it at the hotel and simoply found it elsewhere.

- when we booked the room, we asked a non smoking one. But our room smelt cold smoke the three days we remained, especially during the night (even the bed smelt). Il was quite unpleasant. Perhaps wasn't it possible for them to give us a non smoking room (it was a triple room). But it would have been nice to inform us.

- Well situated, easy to find. Single room acceptable size. Shower was unbelievable, extremely powerful and good temperature control.
- Very limited bedding - no duvet or set of sheets/blankets. The only bedding cover was a thin brown blanket which seemed at odds with the rest of the room, like it was the "backup" bedding for when guests were cold.

- Location. Within a few minutes walking to Dam Square, and other areas.
People at front desk were courteous.
- Rooms over priced (at least for a single 155 euro per night). Very small room, no air conditioning, can't take a hot shower without the shower curtain wrapping around you, need to leave a 10 euro deposit on an ironing board and iron AND carry it to your room. Noise outside of room was non stop till 3:30am. tiny pillows. Remote control for TV did not work.
Soda machine on floor was not working.
