Hotel Roemer Amsterdam offers an all-inclusive concept for most of its rooms: drinks, breakfast and snacks are included in the room price. The stylish hotel is close to the entertainment area Leidseplein, the museums of the Museumplein and the shops of the P.C. Hooftstraat.
Hotel Roemer Amsterdam is located in an 18th century mansion that has been rebuilt into a stylish and comfortable 4-star hotel. The hotel's location is ideal: it is within 200 meters of the entertainment venues that surround the Leidseplein, and within 600 metres of three renowned museums at the Museumplein. For a nice stroll or picnic in the well-known public garden Vondelpark you will only need to walk to the street corner, and for those who enjoy shopping the famous shopping streets of the P.C. Hooftstraat and Van Baerlestraat are equally closeby. Also, since the nearby Leidseplein is one of the main connecting points for many tramlines, the city's public transportation system will ensure an excellent connection to the remaining parts of the city centre and the suburbs.
Besides the outstanding location, the excellent facilities of the hotel will be equally pleasing to the hotel guest. The rooms all have their own unique character and are decorated with beautiful carpets and fabrics with classical patterns. The high quality designer furniture and the warm pastel shades finish the rooms and provide the guest with an utmost atmospheric accommodation. Not only will the guest be able to use a private safe and room service, the rooms also have personally adjustable air conditioning, an LCD television, a DVD player, iPod speakers, and a Nespresso coffee maker. The hotel rooms also feature an agreeable work space, with electrical British and American adapters. The bathrooms are finished in Belgian natural stone and equipped with an extra large Jacuzzi, bath, and/or walk-in shower. An LCD television, designer bath products, bathrobes, and a powerful hair dryer are at your disposal. The lounge and lobby areas are decorated with fine works of art and flower arrangements that complement the stylish interior. Adjacent to the hotel's garden you will also find a luxurious conference room that is accessible through the cosy cocktail bar and equally suitable for a private dinner.
Food and Drinks
The lively lobby area features a cocktail bar, where you can relax with a nice drink or enjoy a light meal. On warm days you can be served in the hotel's garden. In the morning the hotel serves a breakfast for its hotel guests, between 07:00 and 10:30 h. on weekdays and from 07:30 to 11:00 h. during the weekend. For a more extensive meal you can go to restaurant Joost Eat & Drink in Hotel Vondel in less then a minute walking distance. Hotel Roemer is an 'All Inclusive Hotel'. - Stay Here
- Great Location. Close to the park, museums, upscale shopping, and the tram. Very clean hotel with a friendly staff.
- One very small drawback is that the doors to the rooms need to be pulled shut. Which if you or others aren't thinking about it can make a noise that may be disturbing.

- A quiet oasis in the middle of the city
- The staff was very service minded and helped us with picking very good restaurants.
- The only thing I can point out is the pillows, they were lumpy... :-), I guess the hotel is a bit on the expensive side, but we felt it was worth it.

- nice small hotel with good service and room amenities
- staff very nice and helpful. price of room included many complimentary perks. small and intimate. good location near vondelpark. lovely garden out back and nice patios for some rooms. quiet neighborhood.
- hotel lobby and room a little the worse for wear. at peak hour for breakfast understaffed. small rooms and bathrooms with not very much closet space and too much furniture in the room.

- Stress-free and cozy quarters for exploring Amsterdam
- Comfy bed, lovely bar/restaurant & front desk staff who were able to arrange early check-in with no problem. Bright breakfast room overlooking garden & nice breakfast selection, cozy lounge for evening drinks & low key socializing. Good shower once someone explained how it worked. Wonderful location close to Vondelpark, shopping, cafes and museums.
- Hotel entrance & exit awkward with luggage, no porters to bring bags to room. Small but well designed room needs some refreshing... carpet was a bit worn, and at first glance marble floor in bathroom looked dirty but it was spilled candlewax that had not been removed.

Coffee machine in room was great and the bathroom was pure luxury - incl TV.

- A pleasant, comfortable, quiet and clean room.
The receptionist gave me the information that I asked for, and a taxi was ordered promptly for me when I left.
- Breakfast was poor. I had only 30 minutes to have breakfast, as I had to leave for the station at 7.30. The person who did the cooking (of eggs, etc) wasn't there at first (she was at the other hotel), and when she came, the boiled egg I asked for was very undercooked (although I had asked for it to be well cooked). There wasn't much choice available for breakfast and there was very little that was attractive, either on the menu or laid out on the table.
The room prices are far too high for what is offered.

- Wonderful large bed and very comfortable. The staff were all excellent, very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the all inclusive facility.
- Bedroom a little small and only 4 hangers in the small wardrobe. Having said that the bed was large . Fine for us as only staying 3 nights and of average build. However did hit myself on t v when getting up to use bathroom at night.

- Really nice barman - Zahib?! very friendly, helpful.
nice and clean rooms, confortable bed.
- All inclusive?!?!? As this hotel is quite expensive and it was advertised as "all inclusive", it was kind of funny when they charged us for the bottle of shampagne we took with us to our room.
Appertizers in the lobby?!?! Only peanuts - I would have expected at least some fruits.
the price was too high.

- Quiet, comfortable, quaint, good snack food via room service. Breakfast in bed for 3.50EU was awesome. From early check in to accomodate my needs to finding out of season fruit for my breakfast. The service at this hotel is great. This was my 10+ trip to AMS and I will say here again for sure.

- All in all a great hotel and I would consider this again if I stayed in the same area. All inclusive rate is a good idea.
- There was no TV in the main bar area. Hotel advertised snacks in the bar but the amount and choice was limited. In fact there is little to keep you in the Bar area if on your own. The TV in the bedroom is a little small if sitting in bed to watch.

- in fact it is almost perfect. not big hotel, quite little and therefore very "familiar", very nice people in staff, well set, modern decoration and location. our room was excellent, big enough, clean, flat tv, tv in bath, jacuzzi-bath, and own video player, own coffee machine... more than we could use. wish come back.
- could it be a little cheaper? it would be better for my economy...
it would be nice that the "all in" include a pair of bicycles...

- Excellent room, jacuzzi bath, balcony, 3 plasma screen tvs (one in bathroom, 2 mins walk from Van Gogh Museum and Leidesplein. Had a brilliant break, really relaxing.
Barman in hotel excellent, carried the fairly useless receptionist.
- On arrival hotel was over booked therefore there was no room available for us. We were moved to a hotel around the corner (lower spec, no air-con) for the first night. We moved back to Roemer for the second and third nights. We were given a free bottle of red wine and a number of apologies. As we had re-packed our clothes we asked for an iron. This took 45 minutes to be delivered. I also rang reception and asked for a corkscrew to open the bottle of wine we had been given, I gave up waiting for that to be sent to our room and nipped to the bar and opened it myself! We were informed that there were only 2 members of staff on so doing anything 'extra' was difficult.

- Upgraded our room for free since we were staying 6 nights. Most of the staff extremely professional and competent. Beautiful clean rooms with nice large new bed. 3 TV's. Whirlpool. Room always cleaned and towels replaced every day. Some of the best service we have ever experienced at a hotel. Would stay again.
- One guy working the front desk was useless. Not sure if he had a hard time with English or what but could not offer any assistance and seemed annoyed that we were even asking for help. This was is stark contrast to the rest of the staff.
Also, breakfast at 20 Euro was pricey for what you get, but service was great.

Great hotel, nice touches, much more interesting that staying in the Marriot! Staff where great, standard of rooms excellent ...even the single! Wireless worked and was fast, food quality was good too. I would definately recommend and return.
- Shower pipe had a leak which needs fixing

- Very nice hotel and location.
- At check out time they debited on my credit card 80¤ (only for accomodation) more than indicated on my reservation. I called the hotel and I sent a fax but, at the moment, I didn't receive any reply. This is not correct!

- Decent balcony, great for good weather. Location, close to PC Hoofstraat, Museums etc.
- Cramped storage space, badly designed too, so that it wasted scarce space. An ordinary double rather than a king sized bed could have alleviated this a little but then they couldn't describe this as an 'Executive Room'.

- Friendly , obliging service. e.g. Barperson went to neighbouring associated hotel to get items for a cocktail.
Nespresso machine in room!
- Some rooms small.

- - Free drink and nibbles on arrival.
- Very comfortable, especially the large bed (even if it was two single mattresses pushed together).
- Stylish hotel and room.
- Three (count 'em) TVs and an iPod speaker system in the room.
- Nice location.
- Friendly staff.
- The room wasn't over hot, as hotels all too often are.
- - The bathroom was a little bit wiffy (I think it was the drain).
- The lack of shower curtain (on the otherwise absolutely superb shower) meant that the bathroom floor got rather wet.
- Breakfast not included.
- Decor could be considered a touch too masculine and stylish batchelor-pad-esque (stone/concrete(?) bedside tables, for example).
