  • + vriendelijk

Mediocre
  • + Well-located.
  • Noisy heaters with difficult controls. Small rooms. Ours had a shower only. Specifically requested a room with one double bed and got a room with two twins instead. Wish we had returned to the NH Doelen.

Great hotel
  • + Great hotel, very friendly staff, wonderful location.
  • The rooms are small, not a problem for me but if you want a spacious room it would be.

  • (Older couples)
The staff were very pleasant and efficient.
  • + Generally the helpfulness of the staff is to be praised.
  • We felt it a bit outrageous that we were charged to have a cup of tea or coffee, apart from during breakfast. Such hot drinks from a machine should be available free at any time of the day.

The Times Hotel Amsterdam
  • + + Location, staff
  • - Tiny room, low ceiling, no hairdryer, steep stairway, no PC in the lobby, "city view" is actually no view at all

great location, friendly staff & nice rooms.
  • + The Times hotel is located in the Jordaan area which is close enough to the nightlife and cultural areas but not noisy or overly full of tourists. It's a beautiful and quiet district and only 10 minutes walk from Centraal Station. The hotel itself is reasonably priced for the area, but a little tired (I really do mean a little.) The staff were lovely and very helpful. A great base for exploring the city. There is a safe in each room, and hair-dryers are available on request. Comfy beds. unlike many small hotels in Amsterdam there is a lift.
  • tea and coffee would have been nice in the room, but it's next door to a coffee shop so not really an issue.

Cosy hotel in a nice location.
  • + Location
  • The room we got was just above the reception (very noisy) We also paid for a canal view but the window was on floor level so it was more of a street view. If this is what you get when booking online then we'll try somewhere else.

  • + We LOVED this hotel! Cheaper than most near the center and yet just a few canals away from the tourist center so it felt like we were living in the neighborhood! Rooms are small but all the more charming as it is an old canal house. Lovely canal views with safe and toilet/shower in room! Staff was friendly and helpful and we could walk / bike to everything... would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again!
